I struggle to see how he displaces Hughes who was one of our best performers last season. Bit of a weird one unless we’re selling Earl.

Earl will go out on loan for a year and I hope he gets converted into a centre back eventually.

So we'll need competition for Hughes, plus I think Lowe will be more comfortable as a wing back if we ever play a back three.

I still think it'll be a loan though, can't see Hemmings risking being stuck with three left backs.

Kieffer Moore to Wigan by the looks. Bad timing even if he hasn't really played much part in pre-season. We'll be raiding Peterborough for Ivan Toney then.

Struggling to see the Leeds hype this year. Obviously got, arguably, the best manager. However their squad looks weaker since last season. Costa is a great signing but no Jansson and probably losing Roofe, as well as Hernandez another year older and no real squad depth.

Think they will be pushing Top 6 but that's it. Won't steamroll the league like most think.

Ben Davies at Preston our local journalist reckons we might go for as a replacement for Webster. Would be relatively happy with it but would presumably cost an arm and a leg.

Rather VdH or Hector.

Be a bit weird, he's absolutely nothing like Webster, he's a reader, not a commanding defender, plays more like Kalas.

I reckon thats bollocks purely on that basis. Which journo?

Young, under a lengthy contract, English and you have money to burn. Have to be talking £13m-£15m.

Said to Tom I’d rather have Storey to be fair.

Bielik and Matt Clarke both sign for Derby, very good business for them.

Storey is nowhere near Davies level yet.

Imagine Bauer will start more than him.

I'm kinda thinking the same thing as well tbh. I wouldn't want to rely on Bamford for goals.

Really surprised Bristol didn’t get one of them considering the Webster riches.

Suddenly a little worried Derby could do well this year. Few teams looked like they’d strengthened or maintained their level.

Suppose it depends on how Shinnie & Dowell compare to Mount & Wilson, both look like downgrades on paper.

I know nothing about Cocu either.

Webster hasn't actually gone yet has he? For me it'd be crazy to turn down that type of money for any club at this level, but the replacements are looking pretty slim for them now Derby have signed both Bielik and Clarke. Hector is still available but obviously I'd love us to sign him.

That would be Wigan shelling out £8m in the past few days wouldn't it?

Connor Gallagher signs on a season-long loan from Chelsea and comes with rave reviews. Obviously, have to wait and see how he steps up into men's football but I'm pretty excited by this one, Chelsea's academy player of the year and was in their match day squad for the Europa League final.

Kieffer Moore to Wigan must be one of the strangest transfers of the summer?

How come Derby are so keen to move Carson out, i'd definitely take him at North End unless he's turned to shit over night?

Yeah I’m surprised Sheffield weren’t in for both...

Just under 3m for Moore was what I heard. I suspect you’ll only ever receive 4m if we get to the Prem. For example, we banked 1m from Norwich this summer after Wildschut technically got promoted with them. Plus reporting 4m appeases Barnsley fans somewhat.

You’ll be paying £4million up front plus add ons otherwise he’d be staying put.

No we won’t be. You lot are cheap sellers, as already proved this summer with Pinnock.

Davies out of contract. Lindsay and Pinnock in last years of their deals. This one is different, two years left on his contract and Stendel not a big fan, you’ll be paying the £4million reported (at least) and you’ll be paying it up front. The price tag was put on him last January when interest started to show and you’re obviously the first club to meet it. If he was in the last year of his contract you might have a leg to stand on, but he isn’t and you don’t. Enjoy.
