Why the fuck would one of a Monaco's best youngsters who has played European football join Bristol City permanently?

There's a thread on our forum wondering if we're signing players on Chelsea'a behalf? There's no proof at all, it's pure conjecture but we do have a good relationship with Chelsea.
The idea is that Chelsea (who can't sign anyone) tell us about a youngster they're keen on, we sign them then sell them on to Chelsea, once they can sign players, pocketing profit. In the meantime, we get a cracking young player for a year or 2.
When you think how many youngsters we've had from Chelsea, it's a possibility.
As I said, it's all conjecture but it wouldn't be a surprise and would explain why a player that's played in the Champions league is happy to swap Monaco for BS3.
Maybe he just likes cider and pasties? ;)

If true, and it gets properly found out, reckon there’d be some harsh punishments handed out

It's probably utter tosh MB but it does seem a strange signing although full of potential. Damned expensive on our part too.

Dru Yearwood and Bryan Mbeumo were both at Griffin Park today.

Yearwood apparently joining from Southend tomorrow. Mbeumo we’re still trying to convince to join (not sure today would have helped!)

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of Yearwood before. No idea on fee.

Mbeumo fee is lower than previously thought. It’s still £5.5m in total, but only £3.5m up front, the rest is based on goals and promotion to the PL.
Great move for him. He’s got a lot of appearances at young age definitely potential there but he’s never set the world alight very raw sometimes looks like he’s running about like a headless chicken but def potential there. Never scored for us either. Fee id guess around 500k Rotherham offered us 200k and we’ve been told it’s more than double that

Dunno, announced today though.

Heard Nketiah is done as well. Need 3 more but not a bad start to the week.

Glad I booked this morning off work fucking hell.....

Sounds dodgy as fuck but also plausible.

Moore deal should be done today if he passes his medical. No idea whether we’re still in for Johnson, can’t see it unless someone like Windass is being sold. For once we actually have a lot of attacking options.

Does sound a bit naughty TBH SF.
IF there is any truth in it, I would hope we've checked that what we're doing is legal. I would be very disappointed if we hadn't.
As an aside, he was there yesterday so if he does sign, he's a brave lad after that sack of shit performance. :(

Brentford supposedly in for Daniel Johnson now as well.

Didn't get off the bench on Saturday and now we have Bayliss so could definitely see him being moved on, just hope we don't settle for shit money.

Sounds like it's going to be a very busy few days for us.

We’re being linked with Albian Ajeti, scored 27 goals in 59 games for Basel (lots of those being sub appearances, so it’s a great record).

Can’t imagine how we’d be affording the wages, but love the ambition.

Edit: sounds like we were interested, but the deal hinged on them not getting through to the next round of CL qualifiers, which they did, so this one isn’t happening unless something changes last minute.

Celtic in for Rico Henry so Brentford's Max Lowe interest makes sense.

We’ve signed Bryan Mbuemo, fee of £4m rising to £6.5m, potentially our record signing!

Lots of jokes on our forum that Villa are already preparing a £30m bid for next summer.

With a couple more deals in the works, we should break £30m spent this summer.

Our owner last week told Middlesbrough that Anfernee Dijksteel wasn’t for sale.

Today?

Middlesbrough have met our ‘asking price’.

You’ve got to laugh

I think we were interested anyway, don’t have a back up. Haven’t heard much our side of Celtic’s interest, £7m wouldn’t be enough anyway.

Any clubs in need of an attacking midfielder? Jamie Paterson will be free to a good home this week if this midfielder from Monaco does sign for £8m, too good to be 4th choice here and he's not on a small wage.

Wigan would be my guess, would be a good fit.

Love how crazy it gets at Brentford at the back end of the window.

Don’t think it would. We’ve got more than enough attacking midfielders.

It’s quite exciting, though never nice losing good players late on.

Dru Yearwood confirmed signing this afternoon from Southend, my guess is this means Mokotjo is moving on.

We’ve put in another bid for Lowe, but will leave it if rejected again. We’ve got two strikers lined up if Maupay goes.

Maupay travelling for a medical with Brighton. Not everything agreed yet but a deal in principle that including add ons takes the deal to £25m plus a sell on

We're in talks with Wayne Rooney about becoming a player coach.

I know.

In my view the greatest English player that I've ever seen live - obviously Bobby Moore etc notwithstanding but better than Gazza, Gerrard and Lampard. I saw him play on three occasions against Reading and he was unplayable each and every single time - industry, sheer power but fantastic technique. Even at this age he would be quite a coup.

Aye at 33 he's still got plenty to give, especially at this level.

Not quite sure how we'd afford him but if he's looking for a way into coaching then maybe it is possible.

He'd be an unbelievable signing at this level.

When you consider that Flint and Jansson are classed as two of the best in the league, he would run rings around both of them cloggers.

If he's looking at going into coaching he would have to reduce his demands, and even though they still wouldn't be cheap, shirt sales and the general buzz he would bring, he might pay for himself.
