Good. We should be spared from Masi's expert post match analysis then. Every little bit helps and all that.

Our game is definitely on FFS.

I know it can only take one result for things to change but normally you'd say if we got the first goal for example then we give ourselves a chance but we struggle even to hold a couple of goals lead. Reckon will be a loss in stoppage time, we haven't done that for a few games now so must be due.

having obviously watched you on Saturday there's 3 things Vale need to do....

1) Start Amoo
2) Make sure he has absolutely no defensive responsibilities,,, (see our 2nd goal)
2) Drop Smith

then you've got a chance....

Cambridge may have done enough in the first 15 games to stay in the league

Every single Vale fan predicting a loss is making me feel rather uneasy

All are good points which I agree with. Smith has gone from being linked with clubs higher up to looking like he's never played a minute of football in his life. Needs some time out the side. Haven't watched the goals back since the game as can't put myself through watching that again but I swear Mills was at fault for the second goal with his weak as piss clearance. Be breaking the habit of the rest of his time here if he wasn't

Would just add Pope needs to sit this one out, Rodney to the middle then Amoo on the right. It would also be nice when Amoo is running at the opposition if some of the statues in midfield got up and supported him.

at no point in that game did you deserve a three goal lead..You conned cheated both free kicks for the first two goals. Coupled that we should have had two maybe 3 penalties got nothing from the referee.
Your gameplan was launch it long and hope for a free kick around the edge of the box.....zero football played
Second half we tried to play football when we should have just done what you lot did and shank it 70 yards.
The game was petering out to another defeat when Baptiste got injured and for the first time had to go 442
We got a second then a third in short time....86 and 88 min.....Hit the post in the 90th min only one winner the Referee then sends Kioso off for a fucking shoulder charge.....you then hit the post with the last kick of the game.
4 great chances to win it......at least tell it how it was.
Two bad teams but only one wanted to play football
Not having this... you've all been drinking from the Evatt Kool-aid. 3-0 down before you even organised yourselves to give our keeper anything to do and yet the Bolton fans and management are under the impression that a fair final score would be 6-0 to Bolton. Well done for finding a way back into the game late on and all but on the balance of play you were exactly where you deserved to be after 80 minutes.

it was pretty much the same Bolton fans reaction when they came back from 3-1 down to get a 3-3 draw with us....

Settle for a draw tonight, but there’s no reason why we can’t make it 4 wins in a row.
A draw? We’ve got a load of youths to make up our bench tonight and 7 of our key players out!

How the fuck has Whitehead kept his spot after that???

That bench as well is a whose who of people nobody has ever heard of. Gives Askey the perfect excuse not use his subs at least.
Whitehead starts because we literally have no one else other than chucking a kid on (they’ve been getting walloped most weeks too!)

The starting line up isn’t too bad in terms of Legge and Brisley in and Mills finally dropped, Smudge has done a decent job at RB before.

That bench raises a few questions though:

Are the rumours true regarding certain players causing issues with them disappearing from the squad in favour of kids tonight?

Have we had further Covid cases in which case why haven’t we called the game off?

Are we looking at even more injuries leaving us just 13 outfield senior players?

Il spend my tenner out of duty tonight but really can’t be arsed. This is turning into a right old mess.

Yes you adapted to the conditions way better than us. The referee give you everything and at the end of the game we may not have deserved a draw

Honestly I'd rather just chuck the youth teamer in over him. That corner on Saturday did it for me with him.

But yeah unless McKirdy and Robinson have had to isolate this is very telling that neither even make the matchday squad. Probably not a coincidence this. Been two absolutely disastrous signings they have. Sooner they are gone if some mugs are willing to take them the better.

Why haven't we recalled Campbell gordan and trickett Smith from there loans and yes your right about the youth team getting thrashed every week. The youth team was only put together this summer with aload of new players too as we let all of them go including agho who played against walsall the other year aged 15.

DTS would be better the Whitehead but believe he is over age so wasn’t registered for the league.

Win or get a point tonight it will be the result of the season for us with the shite we are left with to pick from.

Least being cold they might run around a bit which is more than they did Boxing Day.

We've lost 5-0 this season and yet I think tonight could be even worse.

Back to our two backup CB's due to injury, we've really not had much luck this year

Don't bank on it

Remember at the start of the season thinking we had great depth in the squad? Just shows you things don't work out how you anticipate them. Add in a squad which is aging considerably more than most other clubs it's not particularly great right now.

Robinson and McKirdy excellent footballers at their last league two clubs, that said you can’t legislate for the injuries and covid absentees I guess, just so happens to be all key squad members rather than a few of your best XI and some of the stiffs. Worrall, Montano, Gibbons, Cullen, Oyeleke and Conlon start tonight if fit and likely most weeks.

Robinson did well at Colchester but McKirdy the fact that Carlisle were only too happy see the back of him despite what he did on the pitch should have been a huge red flag at least to me. Forgot Cullen was even still employed at the club.

I don't know how our injuries compare to other clubs at the moment but I can't help thinking there is something we are not doing with our strength and conditioning training. It's just too frequent and has been for a long time pre-dating covid etc.

High press that we use maybe?

For years we’ve had muscle injuries galore, one theory was Vale Park because it’s a hard pitch and massive.
