I'm still going be right that we will lose all remaining games and conced a penalty or get somebody sent off in all remaining games as refs have something against us.

Just count your blessings you finished the game with 11 men buddy. Your keeper is embarrassing. Not just his time wasting but his distribution is terrible.

All focus switches to Peterborough now. A good game in prospect.
Sure, we're very lucky to not have had a 5th red card in 4 games. At least the ref and liner didn't invent a red card out of thin air for us.

You were desperate for a penalty, always going to get one. You did fine out of that ref. Count your blessings for that joke of a foul just before your equaliser.

I think Cambridge have an excellent chance of staying up based on the way they played tonight, the effort they put in, and their run-in.

OK, so we can probably write off their Sat game (A) to Argyle, but after that?

Accy (A) - will be the mother of all scraps, but they can get something...
Burton (A) - Burton well and truly on the beach by then
FGR (H) - whilst it would be the mother of all depressing ends to the season for the travelling FGR faithful to see another team gleefully celebrating staying up, I think it's entirely possible.

Anyway, good luck to them. Didn't look like a relegation side based on their showing this evening.

Every keeper wastes time at vale but never get booked but vale get penalised for it everytime. Same with refs every team gets homer refs apart from us we get no luck with anything. Ref couldn't wait give that penalty. I'm going be right we will lose every game, get relegated and it will be due to corrupt officials.
Come off it mate, there's no big conspiracy against fucking Port Vale. We all get shit refs, shit decisions blah blah, you lot just moan about it a lot more

Jesus we do not make it easy for ourselves. No disrespect to Shrewsbury as I understand that their squad is decimated but Argyle before Christmas would have won that 3-0

We really are huffing and puffing but most importantly finding ways to win football matches. 3 massive Home Games coming up now

Another piss poor performance against one of the worst teams in the division who really should have beaten us. Absolute shitshow of a season, so many of these players just aren't good enough.

Nah it’s not up for debate. Can’t have your arm out like that and not expect it to be given.

Anyway take the defensive effort into the last three and we can get what we need to guarantee survival. James Plant take a bow tonight, not bad for his first start against the likes of Morsy. He will learn so much from that.

Exactly. Looked like 2 hand balls too! You can't hand ball in the box and not expect a penalty.
It's a shame that those are the rules really as it's not intentional but some idiot somewhere has deemed that to be the rule. Such is the luck you get when down at the bottom.

Im chuffed we’ve finally learnt to waste a bit of time, Jesus their squad cost millions, and we had an 18 year old winger making his first pro start in midfield, teams do it to us every game at Vale Park and we’ve been soft as shit. Finally some effort at being streetwise tonight.

We can afford to lose 1 of our final 4 games now, nevertheless it's still a pressure cooker situation. 10 wins and a draw from our last 11, one final push will get us over the line.

Well we didn't deserve to lose that one. Changed players and formation from Saturday that really didn't need changing then gift Wednesday 2 goals, allowing the to sit back in numbers and waste time. Changed it 2nd half then we score straight away. We had a goal disallowed, my view wasn't great but don't think many complained. Ah well that's us safe but should have won the last 2 games really.

That’s the positive tonight the effort was ten times what it was recently and we actually defended fairly well. Ipswich didn’t really cause us too many problems in that aspect.

Take that into the last three and we have a glimmer of hope. Results tonight at least went our way.

This will piss ipswich fans off....but you got more protection against timewsting tonight than we've had in a good handful of games this season. At least he waved his arms at us now and then. And a booking for a timewasting? I didn't know that was a thing this season.

I can’t argue with that. I watched on iFollow tonight. Would say we gifted your goal too so swings and roundabouts. The camera angle wasn’t the best for the disallowed goal but he did look offside.

It didn’t matter how we won tonight as long as we did.

True though. We need all the help we can get against a team that has probably 6 times our budget at least. You really should be beating us comfortably.
Take away the negatives what about Planty! He was superb tonight, the one where he ran half the pitch to make that last ditch tackle on Broadhead on the break first half was quality. Didn’t look at all out of place against their millionaire midfielders and has a bright future.

Excellent point tonight under the circumstances. First choice 'keeper out, top scorer out, most creative player out and the subs coming on were a player we don't want here, a youngster and one coming back from injury.

Both sides had only had one shot on target each.

It'll be absolutely crazy if we manage to sneak 10th place.

Yeah it's only results that matter at the business. Good luck to you but can see why you are struggling, take Bannan out and there isn't a lot else.

Certainly not a classic at Sincil Bank tonight. A solid defensive display. Sadly when we've lost our 2 most attacking players who have done so well in recent weeks (House, Mandriou), and the only options we had one the bench were a 19 year old striker with 1 appearance, and a midfielder who is out of favour, its no surprise we set up as we did. The wind made it difficult to adapt to, but felt we kept Barnsley at bay well, and can't recall any shots we faced.

Think thats us officially safe now.

Wycombe were too good for us first half tonight though we did miss a handful of great chances. One of those goes in and it’s a different game. But there you go, that’s why we’re down there.

Second half we left ourselves too much to do. Threw on a ton of forwards and had numerous half chances but it just wouldn’t quite run for us.

Probably worth a draw across the 90 but it is what it is.

yeah, you had a ton of great chances, a lot of sharp intakes of breath from our fanbase over the 90 mins, I shouldn't wonder.
