Great moment for Alfie May, last minute equaliser and then subbed off to say his final farewell. Not ashamed to say I welled up a bit, goes down as our greatest ever player imo and deserves a good pay day. Just not Wrexham please Alf.

Silver lining is we've got Aidan Keena who's proving to be a similarly tenacious player with great finishing. Just would've been great to have a full season with them playing together.

One nice note for us we brought on one of our academy players Jack Shorrock who at 16 becomes the youngest player to represent us in a league fixture. That’s going to be the future for us.

I’d have been annoyed to lose that had it meant something but was enjoyable non the less, summed up our season in a nut shell, plenty of decent play, on top for large parts but still concede three with the usual long ranger thrown in!

11998 there which was decent and pleased for young Shorrock getting on at the end, all be it looked miles from ready but that’s what these dead rubbers are useful for and he will be stronger for it.

Planty superb going forward again, think he got done for the first two goals but he’s a 17 year old winger making his second start playing out of position and isn’t a right back so not to fussed about that.

Decent atmosphere from both sets of fans and surprisingly no pitch invasion, all round enjoyable stress free afternoon and as mentioned today summed up the lessons we need to learn in terms of defensively.

Big summer ahead now.

Last but not least congratulations to Plymouth, great support today and to win the title with some huge budgets challenging them is no mean feat.

Proper end of season game today. Shrewsbury came flying out the blocks and it really was all them for 60 minutes. So many missed chances, hitting the woodwork etc. We then changed shape with Sanders coming on, and we actually started looking threatening then saw the game out with relative ease. Easily a pen at the end, shame it was missed.

Why so many signs in the Shrewsbury away end at the end of the game asking for shirts. Very bizarre.

We as expected put up pretty weak resistance, although Sam Smith's goal was a belter that not many teams would stop. Nice that we ended the game with 3 youth products on the pitch, Harvey Bunker's really established himself now hopefully more can do the same in the future as we could certainly benefit from producing more from our academy.

Our season ends then with an appropriately mediocre result v Pompey, us conceding the lead twice as the game ended 2-2.

I kind of worry that since Ainsworth left we’ve become too “nice” and have lost that quality of being horrible to play against…but that’s what allows you to win games even if you’re not playing that well.

Ho hum, no complaints really, we finished where we deserved to, a level of quality below the teams who made the playoffs, so good luck to those guys (except Posh, who can go fuck themselves).

Barnsley would be my tip to win it, but who knows.

Today opened my eyes really to how far off we are. We had a lot of the play really but it takes us 20 passes to get in a good position whereas Plymouth got there in 2.

It looked like Plymouth were still pissed for the first 20 minutes. Passes going astray, struggling against our press but then we scored and sat off a bit. Equaliser was very fortunate...ricocheted off a defender right to their lad just inside the box. Second goal was something we're incapable of...good quick free kick, direct run and quick passing to get in behind. Third goal we stood and watched a bit but a cracking finish. You can see why Plymouth are Champions, they didn't really have many more chances but they were so ruthless and then defensively gave us very little room.

It's the story of ours season. Have a lot of the play, rarely score more than a goal , concede at least 2 soft goals and when we do have the play we do a lot of sideways stuff so let the opposition get set. We've got no players who can play that very quick one two or defence splitter (apart from our first goal ironically). Massive lack of pace throughout.

Well done to Plymouth...a team that we should really be looking at exactly how they did it. They've gone from having similar attendances to ours currently to virtually doubling that in a few years. They've also built a great base squad with some excellent loans...without the huge budget of those around them. We have been above them at times in the pyramid but now seem further away than ever.

Nice to finish with a win today and an 18th league clean sheet of the season.

All things considered, a comfortable season for us and a solid first full season in management for Kennedy. Will be interesting to see what changes he makes next season now he's got a feel for the league - he said himself that what he thought he could do, what he looked for in players in terms of attributes isn't now necessarily what it was at the beginning of the season.

O'Connor picked up Player of the Season, followed by Rushworth and Poole. Could have been any of those plus House.

Crackin game at Highbury and Fleetwood certainly took the game to the visitors. Glorious sunshine, terrific atmosphere and goals all over
Never one to count the chickens and all that but I've never been more optimistic for this club going into next season. Can't praise Scott Brown and his staff enough, the transformation from last season is staggering, there are quality players in key positions throughout the team and the academy players are all pushing for places

Nah, with their resources they'll be fine, at least in terms of being comfortable within the division.

Very much doubt that they'll be anywhere near challenging promotion for the first season, but they should have no trouble establishing a foothold again.

Don't forget that it's also a serious basket case division in terms of the financials, what with the number of clubs ready to spunk money up the wall that they haven't got for shit or bust promotion attempts.

Reading and Wigan got done this season with points penalties, but I suspect they're not the only ones whose finances are a shitshow (hi QPR).

So in terms of staying up, teams just need to sign decently, and handle themselves semi-responsibly.
