Bit better from us second half, probably a draw about fair.

Sutton the same as they were in the NL. Give up possession but work very hard, lively forward line, well organised, I'm not surprised they're up there but christ almighty for a big strong side they don't half go down a lot.

Draw is a solid enough result for us, point gained bearing in mind 3 important players out. Having said that, I don't think Lee has quite nailed it in terms of forward play. Still a bit pedestrian at times. And a bit predictable.

We badly missed Sterry and Ferguson today, Ogle and ZFA were steady away but aren't close to their standard, White looked lost playing out wide, clearly a CM playing out of position, felt at HT going to 442 might've been the call, would've hooked White for Carver, Bogle was winning everything but the two wide men were no were near him.

It was the typical Sutton display that we've seen for the last 5 years, they're direct and physical, they just hoof it to that shit house Bugiel upfront, it's a style of play I'd hate to watch but they do it very well and it's got them into a decent position so far.

I would've been happy with a point when the team's were announced, hopefully all three are fit for Tuesday.

Your only shots came from 25 yards out under pressure and didn’t threaten the keeper once.

We missed two sitters and various half chances second half that went into side netting.
They didn't show them on ifollow then. We were on the ropes for 5-10 mins after your goal but can't recall being overly worried.

Quite surprised you lot think you did enough to win that and I think when we bought our player of the season so far on (coming back from injury) we were the better team.

Our keeper was dreadful I thought but can only remember two regulation saves he made

Its a funny old game...crazy last 20 minutes!

Thankfully Mansfield left their shooting boots at home first half, they should have been out of sight.

Some credit to Rowberry in changing the formation & making the two subs at half time which made for a more even second half. Street surely has to start a game soon. CBR is missing too many chances, time to give the loanee a chance.

Struggling to see where the next win is at this rate though.

How did Cooper do? Looks exciting in the glipses we got against Carlisle.

‘various’ ?
You had 2 goes and a speculative shot that went side netting.
We had one that went in and one header off a corner.
It was a poor game.
Draw was fair.
Neither team looked brilliant or indeed terrible

Oh we lost again today

I am shocked that this dead club can't pick up any points

You were on top in the first half, and deservedly went into the break 1-0 up. We went 4-4-2 and it didn't work.
At half time, we changed it to one up front and an extra midfield player, and it made a big difference, as we then controlled the midfield for long periods.

Pitch wasn't the best either, but we just about deserved the win.

Much respect for Hilly the Manager for what he did at Dale, but as a person; he's very much marmite. I genuinely wish him, and Scunny all the best.

A few decent touches but overall I think Tranmeres right-back (Cogley?) had the measure of him I felt.

Thought Mansfield were superb, the best side to come to Newport, though ironically another five minutes against ten men and I think we would have won it. Stupid by O’Toole. Would be very surprised if Mansfield don’t make top three.

Looks like Robbie Wilmott threw a punch and didn’t get sent off lol. Should be a ban coming his way if that’s the case.

You can always guarantee Newport getting the decisions against Mansfield

Stags were well in control ,but i think the ref was poor ,both teams should have been down to ten ,but its another game without defeat

Got into Harrogate at 12.30 and the snow had already started setting and it was starting to get heavier, by 2pm the whole town was covered in snow and it wasn't going to stop. Game never stood a chance and the weather forecast ended up being a bit wrong as it was originally said it would be raining for the game, one of those days at this time of the year when the weather wins and you gotta take it on the chin.

Typical of our luck, we now have 4 games in hand and a fixture pile up - which is part of the reason we find ourselves in such dire straits.

I literally went to Harrogate to eat lunch and take a piss in a pub. Managed to get the first train back though at least.

Absolutely gutted after that and I felt for our players at the end.

It was a tight game as anticipated, but I thought we were the better side and had shown more quality in the final third. There were not a huge number of chances, but Hawkes missed a sitter in addition to our goal and there were several decent half chances for Nevitt and Hemmings. Doohan had nothing to do other than mopping up after a few crosses prior to stoppage time, and Vale had not got behind our back four all game. We switched off once in the 94th minute and paid for it.

Lewis Warrington was outstanding in the centre of midfield and deserved to be on the winning team today.

hopefully not - the kick in the ass you're players got for losing to us hopefully keeps working

True, we’ve got Rochdale and Carlisle in the next couple of weeks too

Our best performance of the season today against a useless Stevenage side. They'll surely be happy that it was only 4-0 tbh, we completely took them apart - fair play to Tisdale, Gas legend.

We're hitting form at the time time of the season, even if we don't make the play offs (which I think we won't) at least we're having a good go at it.

Our first 3 goals were all excellent as well. Great stuff

We are hopeless. Would be amazed if oldham got an easier three points all season because they barely had to try for that.

On a side note, Delfouneso is absolute dog shit. Bloke plays like he's stoned.

Sparks out. Rupp out.

Great point for the Vale. Probably a fair result overall. Very tight game with few chances for either side. Tranmere got their goal with a good break and yes they did miss a sitter in the first half but it was about 5 yards offside. We looked far better in the second half with big Jamie Proctor up front and the other two subs also changed the game for us.

Having seen the Crosby interview it’s obvious it’s been an incredibly tough week at the club for everyone so proud they’ve dug in and got a solid point today.

It’s a great interview and shows just what a club we now have… if Smurf was there today he at least saw we’ve moved on and are now a million miles from his spell.

Hopefully we can make the play offs at least, it’s been a season of adversity and huge tests of character but whatever happens I’m proud of the group of players we’ve got this season and their togetherness and desire for the shirt.

Onto a huge game Tuesday, fair play to Tranmere for some classy tweets regarding DC too after the game as well.

Worst thing you could do is lose to us. Might give our owner a £20,000 boost as our fickle fans turn up after a rare win.

I'm keeping quietly optimistic about reaching the play offs.
It's hard to believe we are still missing a lot of decent players like Josh Grant, Anthony Evans, Alfie Kilgour, Alex Rodman, Jon Nolan and Trevor Clarke...that's half a team, plus Loft and L.Clarke returning from injury.
We have had our poor run there is no reason why we cant keep winning, nobody to fear especially as others are stuttering.

Penalty was harsh but O’Toole did lose his head somewhat .
