What a terrible watch this has been. We've made six changes from the last couple of games, rested most of our better performing players of the season so far and tried to destroy this game from the off.

I think Cowley has an unfair reputation from his Lincoln days really, as I've very rarely seen the kind of 'anti-football' that he is often tarnished with and think we generally play enjoyable football to be honest. But tonight totally fits in with that reputation, utter dross.

For what it’s worth your team have executed the gameplan to perfection as annoying as it is when it’s against your team. I think this is one that first team to score (if any) likely wins it. Moore should really look at Paton or Tolaj for Hackford, he’s not quite been up to the level as yet.

Boot scares the hell out of me. Just not a fan.
He’s been brilliant this season. One error before this game against Cheltenham, but other than that made some top draw saves at times.

Today he’s looked shaky in first half but hopefully wakes him up for 2nd half

This is night and day compared to what it was like under MW. Harrogate look poor and have suffered with injuries tonight but we’ve been clinical. 2 games in and we’ve scored 4 goals away from home under Lindsey, under Williamson we’d scored 0.

This Jodi Jones fella never got a kick against us in either game last season. I have seen him on other occasions against other teams and he's looked good, though.

I still think Notts are a good bet for top 3 this season despite a period of absence for someone who seemingly regarded as their best player.

Crowley is one they could do with keeping fit though, do the Notts fans know his contract length?

He's a flat track bully. Inflates his stats with a dozen assists against the likes of Accrington every season.

Yep, it's really poor from him to be honest. You're not bottom of the table ffs. The young forward alone has been down 4 times, keeper wasting time, not one bit of interest in attacking, as shown by your 0 shots. I'd be mighty annoyed if I'd travelled from Colchester for that. I could understand it if you'd been on a losing streak but it's just so anti football that the first half was virtually unwatchable.

Having said that, we have been very slow and predictable with our build up. Need to get a bit of skill on to open things up.

I will never say a bad word about Graham Westley or Stevenage ever, ever again.

Colchester are an absolute disgraceful side. The most anti-football, negative, downright cheating bastards I've ever seen. Shouldn't really be surprised given who their manager is though, should I really? Three or four times their players have feigned injuries (Tovide the biggest culprit, the absolute carthorse) and made better comebacks than Jesus Christ himself moments later.

Losing Byers is a huge blow. Croasdale is more than decent, but Byers is just on another level. Him being out would be like how Notts fans are feeling about Jones.

We need to get in front before the hour mark because we can't allow these to do this for another 50+ minutes. Unbearable to watch.

To be fair, Tovide going down like he's been snipered every five minutes is nothing to do with Cowley as he's always been like that. Spends more time looking for a scrap and throwing himself to the ground than he does trying to score, he's embarrassing. It's particularly frustrating with him though as he has all the attributes to make a really good career for himself in the game.

To be fair if we’d done this in league one we might have stayed up! It’s something that we need to get used to and find a way that teams will come to Vale Park and try and spoil, we never used to seem to find a way in the past so that’s the big test for Moore.

Reckon he's cost us 6-8 points personally. But we all see things differently.

That goal is poor goalkeeping as well.b

5 goals we have scored now. Offord own goal to make it 1-3.

Fair play to us here making this a contest, abysmal second half - not sure why Maynard is willingly stood watching Abbott and Austin running in treacle

Enjoyed the commentator on sky in general but he's just said "it's not like County to give the ball away like this" over a highlight of us losing the ball in our defensive third

6 goals we have scored now in 2 away games under Lindsey…1-4, Connor Lemonheigh-Evans with his first goal through a Tom Carroll assist.

Take that point away at our ultimate bogey ground every day of the week. Thought we edged it on the whole, but can’t argue with a point tbf.

Oh and OF COURSE that fucker Cheek scored… one yard tap in on line, standard.

4 points from Donny & Bromley away, would definitely have taken that with 2 home games to follow (all be it, tough ones).

I'll take that draw, they had the best chances tbh. Consistency is a problem for us so far, but it's early days. Wonder if we'll see the other keeper next game now, as I'm not the biggest fan of Boot. Doesn't fill me with much confidence

That was atrocious, no idea what we were even attempting to do in the second half. Happy with the win but if we play like that on Saturday we’ll get smashed.

Austin simply isn’t the answer and I think Abbott needs to drop to the bench too.

Positives. Alex Bass. I forgot what it felt like to have a good keeper, I like it

Scored in the 88th min to get a draw against Morecambe. Didn't deserve it. The football at the moment isn't watchable. Terrible.

A lot of those lads who started tonight are still getting up to speed with minutes tbf. Grimes, Daley-Campbell, Mandeville, Jacobs, Colclough all have limited minutes so far this season for one reason or another so good for them to get a good run out tonight.

I’m genuinely really confident in this team that once we fully click & get up to speed we’ll be a force, fine margins at the moment.

What a great result that is.

Only saw the second half and it was a masterclass in defending a 1-0 lead. Gillingham had pretty much all of the ball but I don't remember the keeper having to make a single save, did Gillingham even have shot?

New keeper is excellent at kicking the ball too.

3 wins on the bounce since god knows when in Lge 2, and 2 away, with a clean sheet to boot!

Lost the possession battle? Maynard out.

Lost all control for the last half hour no doubt, but we'd never have kept a clean sheet under that pressure last season so I'm taking the positives.

Really bad result, one a lot of us expected though in fairness.

Grimsby did a job, assisted by an atrocious set of officials but it's not their fault we lost. Just didn't create enough.

Yea I'm not unhappy with the team. It's going to take a bit of gelling still probably and players been out finding match sharpness. Bromley away midweek was always going to be a tricky one. Thought they had the better of it today though honestly, we had more of the ball but they could have got 4 goals which is a slightly worry. Hope Araujo is back next game, and I wouldn't mind seeing the other keeper. Although he's a young lad isn't he and we might have to ride a few mistakes in him as well. Can't imagine Newcastle was it (?) have sent him here to be jury duty every game

Threw it away there. 2 points dropped and can’t afford to be doing that. We stopped playing after we scored but never looked like conceding and still managed it.
