Conlon is a level above this league and is going to be very hard to hold on to. 9 goals from midfield and some stunner for his first. The goal against Yeovil two years ago was unbelievable but this tops that.

Frustrating of course we’ve left it to late to become the team we know we are but let’s hope we can take it into next season.

That was a thoroughly entertaining game, at least. Still not convinced we'll stay in the play-off positions, but the liberation that comes from Cooper's grasp being lifted is evident, and mostly, so far, it seems, for the better. Think we were marginally better than Exeter tonight but not really much in it
