Rodney on for Whitehead but can't help thinking this should have happened about 10 minutes ago, suspect the horse may have bolted already.

We have been absolutely fucking dreadful from front to back and we’re lucky to be 2-1 down. Edwards went off which absolutely killed us as he’s our best player.

We’ve tried to play it out from the back and Harrogate have won it off us every single time.

Will be extremely lucky to draw this.

Wanker should have made a double change after 70. We have the squad, I'm believing less and less we have the manager.

Also, Phil Bowers is absolutely clueless.

We must be the worst team in the division when it comes to free kicks, Jesus christ.

We haven't even had a shot on target today. Mid table is where we will finish.
A short while later....

We're gunna win the league! Sod mid table, we want the crown!

Full time 1-1

Definitely 2 points dropped and only ourselves to blame.

1-0 loss at home to Orient and it was fully deserved. We were absolutely shocking. This needs sorting sharpish or fear that the patience with Jackson will run thin. There is no way with the side we put out there tonight that we should be putting in a performance such as that. Piss poor.

Disappointed to only draw a game we should really have won easily. Until we can start scoring more from what we create though that's likely to happen a lot this season

As much as I respect what what John Askey has done, I don’t think he’s a man to get a side promoted, doesn’t know how to set up a side to attack. Leaves it until the last 10 minutes to make changes and

As much as I respect Askey for what he’s done for Vale I don’t think he’s a manager to get a side promoted out of the football league. He doesn’t know how to break teams down, he’s too predictable and he doesn’t know when to make substitutes. Give Cambridge credit, they are a decent side but we had enough of the ball to create chances to take something from this game!

Tough one to take that, had the majority of the game and enough openings to get a result, very poor defending for the second absolute gift and the third just flatters them but we’ve stopped playing there.

Positive performance in the main but really annoyed to lose that game on the night.

Rodney, Pope and Cullen on the bench, game drifting and going nowhere, and Askey leaves it until 81 minutes to make a change. Prick. And if he selects Whitehead again anytime soon then he's clearly got a thing for him and his nutsack. Cambridge are decent and have a forward bang in form but I refuse to believe they are better than us. Fucking joke of a result.

Presuming our manager made the subs he did due to injures because he took off our best players!

First mistake I've seen Morris make in ages. As always, the keeper mistakes cost you the game.

Overall a good game, Exeter will be pleased with the win. We should bepleased with the first 60 minutes but you have to ask about not having another striker on the bench when we have five at the club.

Feels like a bit of a missed opportunity as for a large part of that game we played pretty well. Cambridge just that bit sharper than us in the final third so fair play to them.

Frustratingly if we'd been a bit more proactive in making changes that could have made a difference but left far too late again.

On a serious note, we were poor today. A draw wouldve been a fair result. Glad we finally secured our first home league win against Crawley.

Undeserved win it has to be said. After Sparkes hit the bar in the third minute we were second best for the rest of the half. Ended up 1 down but could have been more.
Second half we weren't much better but Crawley dropped off. Turning point probably when Bowman came on and we went two up front. Two fortunate goals but Bowmans menace made them both.
Has to be said the ref was shocking though. Bottled a second yellow on Frost and missed a clear backpass at the end.
Still, three points but a mid table performance

Well to give them the freedom for that second goal from our own free kick was absolutely criminal. It was one of those nights I guess, frustrating as they weren’t great on the ball and gave us space to hurt them.

We’ve got to start punishing teams though or we are going to be in for a frustrating season.

Shit ourselves in the last 15 seconds. Massive knock to confidence, hard to see how we are going to turn this around now especially with more injuries.

Wow I think emotions are running high by Vale fans posting rubbish on here. We battered you second half.

You could never press us for 90 mins like you did in the first. You huffed and puffed in the second half and once Hoolahan got on the ball you had no answer. How long can we say Paul Mullin is in a purple patch? He run Smith and Legge ragged all game and playing up front on his own.

11 goals in October!!

a very much deserved 3 points over the 90.

Deserved win for Orient who were a better balanced team than us. How much that is down to tactics and circumstances I don’t know, but we do seem to be set up negatively on a consistent basis under Jacko .

Well that was entirely predictable. Defend for 45+ minutes and then switch off for the last attack of the game.
Bolton aren't a good side at all, and that feels like a defeat.

Clearly watching a different stream to us! Scored your two shots on target that was it. We dropped down a gear (Askey to blame for not changing the personnel earlier) but we’ve had enough chances to even second half to get a point, one off the line. Woz should have had a pen for the shove just before the second etc. Even game should be getting something from that.

I don't post much on here and usually I just lurk and watch from the shadows, but I have to say what a brilliant game I've just watched. Cambridge and Port Vale both look like two great teams. A game of the highest quality, I don't think I'll see many better matches in League 2 this season.

Slightly biased obviously, but I don't think you'll find many better midfields at this level than Hoolahan, Digby, and Boateng.

Yeah a deserved win for ourselves, best we've played all season.

Defensively I thought you was quite sound, but you offered next to nothing going forward - We don't keep many clean sheets, so I'm amazed you didn't pressure us alot more than you did. We had enough chances in that second half to win the game, we usually create chances and in possession we are good at pulling teams around and this evening we managed to keep it going for 90mins for once.

You lot need Vaughan, Ferrier and Blackett-Taylor back as already mentioned, Sam Smith isn't too shabby either.

Big win that for Ross Embleton because a section of our fanbase was slowly turning on him.
