Gutting ending but we didn’t deserve anything from the game. Berry’s goals papering over the cracks of another pathetic away performance. Berry has to start games now, the two players in the more attacking midfield roles were awful again tonight.

12 games 13 goals shows our key issue. 1 first half goal all season. Keep setting up wrong and having to make changes at HT to bail us out

Now that’s how you win in this league, you learn to defend…not as eye catching as some of the recent defeats (if that makes any sense) but a real desire across the whole teams.
We had 13 corners to Readings 2 on Saturday and tonight we didn’t have any and conceded 10. Funny old game

Well done Crawley, fully deserved. Felt we were far too lethargic, you could see your confidence grow as you went ahead, getting first to the ball etc. Considering how poor you have been defending set pieces, our delivery was poor. You know its bad when Darikwa and Erhahon are off it. One of those games we just have to write off, move on and completely forget. Feel sorry for the fans making the long slog south.

Can't make it up can you, you go nearly 10 months unbeaten away from home, navigate some of the big hitters in the league and your downfall is away at a Crawley side who are in stinking form, conceding goals for fun and you don't even score yourself!

Slightly baffled by Skubala moving Darikwa to LWB and then Jefferies into CM just to accommodate Ring at RWB. Too many positional moves there and also Hamilton and Draper in despite minimal game time recently. Perhaps too much change in the side but in all fairness, we needed to rotate a little.

6 conceded in two games is like a throwback to a couple of the seasons under Appleton.

Could play until the weekend and I don't think us or Huddersfield would score. Think both keepers had about 1 save each too make. No Marriott or Flectcher left us fuck all attacking wise on the bench to try and change it

meltdown on the Bolton Forum, not because we lost but the manner in which we lost
Offered nothing and got schooled by Birmingham who i do not think were at there best.
More Injured with Dempsey going off that is Baxter, Jones, Toal, Desmond, Gomes, Firino, Thomason and Dempsey injured off the top of my head and Forrester and Lolos just back

Wow. Not sure where to start tonight. Reading bossed the first half and we gave them a goal inside 2 mins with suicidal defending and then they scored a fairly fortunate second from a rebound. Make no mistake, they were miles better than us in the first half and deservedly went in 2-0 up.

Second half, we brought on Magennis, Alli and Doyle and played one of the best halves I’ve seen in ages. Ilmari Niskanen was unreal at times and could have scored four. We dominated Reading and they were holding on. How we didn’t score with two point blank chances at the death I will never know!! Totally gutted but a spirited performance.

Good atmosphere tonight and a decent away following. Well done Reading, but not sure how we came out of that with nothing.

Gas V Shrews. 2 poor sides which made for quite an entertaining game in a shitfest kind of way.

Its strange, we have been bad all season yet sit 3 points from the play off places

Blimey. We actually won. That’s easily the poorest we’ve played at home all season, and it’s the first time we’ve won. Funny old game. To be fair, as bad as we were, Rotherham were worse. Dreadful side who offered nothing.

A very scrappy and much needed 1-0 win, we've played alot better than we did tonight and lost.

Either side of us scoring Rotherham missed two sitters through Humphreys and Nombe.

Game was very scrappy with very few chances, Rotherham I thought were very average, went down a bit too easily at times looking for free kicks I thought.

Josh Keeley in goal did well again I thought, Darren Pratley also put in a decent performance.

Draw a fair result tonight vs Uddersfield, fair play to them - though how our singers never timed it right to outshout them at the point where they were singing....UDDERS - is a mystery!

<clap>clap>clap>clap>clap>clap>clap>clap>clap>...."UDDERS"!
....with;
<clap><clap>clap><clap>clap>clap><clap><clap><clap>....TITS!

Can see they'll be up there towards th'end, esp with that vocal backing they had tonight.
Best away fans so far at ours this season - even more so, considering it was a mid-weeker and filled their allocation....so take a bow if you were there tonight.
Good chatting to the four lads we were with in the pub prior to the match too....

No wins in six months and then two in week. Haven't won on a Tuesday for over two years either!

Dunno what Monk did over the international break but bloody hell. Misson Caldwell is up and running.

It shows why we're right at the bottom in that we give the opposition so many chances but also don't take the good ones that we actually get (Marquis and Lloyd last night for example).

It then doesn't help when the officials take a guess at an offside to rule out a goal originally given. The TV cameras showed the linesman puffing out his cheeks as if either he didn't know or wasn't convinced when talking to the ref. Marquis wasn't blocking the keepers view. If the keeper was looking at him it's no wonder he didn't save it as he was nowhere near the direction of where the shot came from

I'm not despondent. I just don't think we have the players to do well in this league. It's about levels, a player can be good at league 2 and look rubbish at league 1.

I'm hearing we went with a back four of 4 centre backs last night ( no full backs at the club) plus a more direct counter attacking style. It probably threw Lincoln's game plan. Kudos to Elliot.

I think we will get relegated but along the way, if we keep our nerve, we will suprise a few people, and, with a bit of luck, we can survive.

Same for us, bar the odd game we've been poor but are 1 point off the playoffs and we were 5th until the 95th minute last night. Makes for an exciting league but think it shows how weak League One is atm. Reinforced by the promoted teams being able to challenge at the top in their first season up.

Blues 2-0 Trotters

Same sort of script as usual, a shit ton of possession but this time against a team as per their manager who thought the best they could do was get a point, that is a very negative attitude and kinda shows Evatt's limitations or lack of faith in his players, Bolton have talent but set up to hang on and got what they deserved.

McAtee should have scored late on but then again if my nan had wheels she'd have been a bike. Shoulda woulda coulda.

We were pretty wasteful in front of goal for the most part, May missing two really guilt edge chances but i am still confident we will give someone a tonking, eventually.

The football is just so good, a joy to watch, patience and probing we just need to be better in and around the box. Their keeper made a great save from a Laird header in the second half and we had some good moments before the late penalty.

Mansfield away next, should be a tough test based on the table positions.

Don't think Brum will struggle, as we were top of the league and we got dispatched very easily by Brum. I think the away game will be of similar ilk.

Stockport County.
Frustrating point for us. Northampton just came and played like a small team, deep defending and it succeeded for the majority. To get the late goal and throw it away is frustrating.

I thought yesterday was a brilliant performance, especially after the subdued home performance against stevenage where we were outthought and outfought.

The substitutions at HT (as alluded to by conker) made a big difference and we’ve played some great stuff / under pressure for periods of the game notably the first and last 25 odd minutes, but took both goals superbly well.

It’s another 3 points towards 50 - which remains the aim - and gives us what in essence is a free hit against champions elect birmingham on saturday.

Last night was just another example of how good Clough and our entire management are tactically, I cannot remember us ever settling for so little possession but it just worked really well(with a bit of luck too) the adaptability from Clough and the players is very good.

Got to remember we lost our star player without a replacement on deadline day, and in a position that no one else could play in (other than Maris who’s been injured) but we’ve just took it all in our stride.

Yeah that disallowed goal was harsh. Nice to see another one of Marquis' offsides doing us a favour for once though. That's all the bloke used to do here, either give away free kicks or get caught offside.
Draw would probably have been fairer on balance

This sums Northampton up. Even when they try and play football they do so in the most boring, negative way imaginable. Them, Stevenage and Crawley are the teams I dread playing because even if you win you feel so bored watching it that you cant even enjoy it.

Pretty harsh read I think. We’ve been generally a good footballing side under Brady so far in his tenure.

Maybe you don’t like playing us because you don’t have a very good record against us.

Yeah I think us playing on your tactic of let the keeper have it for 45 seconds at a time and then giving it to Louie Barry to do something worked as we kept him relatively quiet (dodgy pen aside).

You may have had 70% of the ball but I’d say we had by far the best chances.
