If people actually want this season finished, then as long as you have enough to field 11 fit/Covid free players and stick a few kids on the bench, teams should be made to just get on with it imo. And if a pitch is deemed unplayable, the game should be played at the nearest possible venue the next day. Or maybe on one of the pitches at St George's Park or somewhere. Fuck it even the local park pitch would do.

Otherwise this season won't be finishing.

I disagree. The more of a fixture backlog for our rivals the better as far as I can see.

I’m impressed ours hasn’t been called off to be fair. I’d actually quite like it to be actually due to our centre back crisis.

Our game against Bolton is called off, pitch is playable but was not at the half 12 pitch inspection. It was called that early to stop Bolton setting off (not exactly a long journey) according to our head groundsmen who’s not happy.

I’ve got this crazy unfounded optimism for us tonight and I have no idea why that were gonna win 2-1.

At least it means you won’t have Masi being all precious about his team after you’d beaten them.

Are there any Tuesdays left in the season that we can rearrange games for? Massively disappointed for the reasons that I'd highlighted this as being the perfect match to return to football for.

Update... there are currently three midweeks between now and the end of the season where we don't have fixtures. What will the EFL do if there comes a situation where it is no longer possible to schedule rearranged games for us? Knowing them, they'll probably deduct us 50 points and send us to the National League.

We have been saying since our positive covid tests that the season needs to be extended.
Sadly for us you'll be raring to go on Saturday then. Thanks Newport

Our game at Salford being off is quite handy. Will give us time to get a centre back in for the rearranged game.

Our game at Barrow is about to be called off, an hour or so before kick off. All that after we’ve travelled all the way there whilst they’ve stood and watched on as the goalmouths flooded.

Great shithousery and we won’t actually lose too much sleep over it (although the coach bill could’ve been avoided)

Eisa starts, huge if he's fully fit and firing.

Clarke misses out which will be a big loss, Rowe has only played a few professional games. One of his actual starts was against Vale and he seemed to struggle against Worrall.

We're also missing Alfie Beestin from Saturday who is on the bench, I assume this is to rest him as he's one of our better players.

4-4-2 but Mills plays as does Eisa yay. Well done on the three points Scunny. Big problems for us now.

Seems very late to call it off. Surely they would have known there was a chance it would be unplayable at dinner time with the rain that was forecast all afternoon.

We were an hour outside of Newport when ours was called off today.
4 weeks ago at Harrogate they had us start the game on their frozen pitch before abandoning after 9 minutes.
Then 2 weeks ago at Harrogate again it was called off about 10 minutes before scheduled kick off time due to flood light failure but also mentioned the fact their pitch was frozen again.

Must drive players and staff mad all that unnecessary pointless waste of time travelling.

Our bench looks stronger than the first team although 4-4-2 means we should hopefully get some threat. Hurst and Worrall means it’s going to be hopefully a good delivery.

That back line though is going to cost us tonight.

We've won 2 times in 10 games and don't have our starting RB, CB, LB, CM and two ST. We're not in a great position either.

Penalty to Morecambe. Looked like it might have been offside but clean through and taken down by Maxted.
Game over as we have Seymour up front and he will never score

I'm happy that we have gone 442 as at least it shows we are going try to win the game as at Sunderland and forest Green we pretty much tried parking the bus. Cullen has never scored an away game for vale though. Mills is abysmal attack down that side and scunthorpe will have a field day not playing a defensive midfielder is abit risky aswell.

Dreaded Green kit tonight too! Although means we’ve wore all three strips against Scunthorpe this season!

Don’t mind that lineup to be honest. Once Montano and Gibbons are fit again then it looks pretty decent. Nice to see Manny on the bench. Probably not going to be match fit for another month but at least this is a sign he is getting there now.

Am on board with dropping Amoo as well. He has been subpar since Mansfield.

We have got out rodney montano legge pope Whitehead visser. Gibbons and oyeleke are both back but only just back from long term injuries. We also have mckirdy and Robinson at the club but have de registered them.

Double sub after 20 minutes, including Seymour. Too late.

Our RB, CB,CB and LB may as well be invisible they go missing that often! Our decent RB is on the bench after 4 months out assume our decent LB is not fit after Covid, top scorer is out (Rodney) best midfielder is back tonight for the first time in 2 months but on the bench (and as soon as he runs his hammy will go) our prime target man is out, Joyce dropped and believe we’ve lost every game he’s missed in the last two seasons. (Stand to be corrected).

We’ve got a squad riddled with injury, lack of confidence and some who simply don’t fancy it anymore.

Other than Conlon who’s outstanding and we risk losing before deadline day we are a total mess!

Amoo has no confidence, don’t mind Hurst and Woz though as they both deliver well... just if Guthrie and Cullo can get on the end of them, at least two to hit rather than one tonight I guess.

That second to last sentence is an outstanding way to sum us up as well.

We may get our 3rd draw of the season tonight.
