Don't know what they are worried about, at least they got named...which makes me think that I don't post enough, either good, bad or indifferent to even get noticed!
Maybe he thought you are an old American sitcom.

Who will in your opinion? I have no idea at the moment. Very erratic season.

At this point I reckon it's going to be 3 from Cambridge, Carlisle, yourselves and Newport. The first two are pretty consistent, you looked the best side I've seen, have signed well and are on a roll and Newport look strong on paper as well and will come on strong again I reckon.

Not sure we have enough goals in us, think Cheltenham might have a similar problem. Even when we play really well like yesterday we struggle to score, needed a couple of rash challenges to give us a pen and free kick.

We will inevitably find a way of making things difficult for ourselves. Its how we do it.

Paying £400 a year to get a certificate that shows you are a genius has never struck me as very clever but each to their own.
membership is £50 a year (I think it's still that)

Yeah I had a browse about a week ago and OneDecentLester was posting some hysterically laughing emojis because Gavin Gunning had chosen Chesterfield over Gloucester like it’s some massive coup. Sad twat.

What's his opinion on them putting players not in their first team plans on furlough and then continuing to sign more players?

Can't see us finishing top 3 tbh.
Chris I bow to your greater knowledge of the game, after all you are running away with the lead in Oakie's Prediction Competition, but I disagree with you on this particular point.

Checking games played and to play, FGR have played away at most fellow potential promotion clubs so they must come to TNL at a time when crowds may well be allowed back into the ground. FGR did good earlier in season when this happened.

Most of our away games are against middling teams, where yes a few set backs will occur but FGR have loads of home games against teams in or around the relegation area.

And currently FGR would only drop to 3rd if Carlisle won their games in hand.

Hope you're right, but home games aren't exactly our strong point though.

I'm mad at him for the performance tonight. Why are you upset with him?

Calls for everything on the sidelines, comes across very arrogant and unprofessional.

If anybody wants proof of how fickle us football fans can be have a look at the opinions of the supporters of our neighbours across the Mersey. They live in a different world from us.

Liverpool fans have all of a sudden become incredibly touchy about their team of late. Jurgen Klopp portraits will be falling off mantelpieces all over Merseyside and beyond.

Shouldn't miss an opportunity to enjoy it though. Particularly with the happyclappers.

He finds it hilarious unsurprisingly, if he’s over the age of 15 then he really needs to take a long hard look at himself.

No other manager calls for things from the sidelines ?

As for arrogant. He can be short when he is angered by what has happened on the pitch but John Yems aint arrogant.

I will agree that his interviews are unprofessional. Long may it continue. I find him saying what he believes to be true refreshing after listening to platitudes from most managers but he should leave out the slagging off of the officials. It only costs him money, it does no good and its not their fault they're crap!

Now if you had said he is opinionated and doesn't need an excuse to voice those opinions I would have to agree.

I used to think the same about Ian Holloway.

I think you're right about the lack of goals, not even making hay when we're bossing a game. Every chance Aaron might suddenly click or similar, he seems to have the attributes and has had good spells before and that would change things of course, but as it stands think play-offs looks likely. Least we're not losing many and hopefully can keep that up.

Hmm, not very grown-up of you to believe we should bash people just doing their job.

Out of the promotion spots please Son of Cod

Carlisle goalkeeper Paul Farman must be a leading candidate for Carlisle player of the season. He did good and by golly can he hoof the ball down the pitch.

The BBC commentary team picked up a bit of gamesmanship by said goalkeeper in that when the ball went out of play for a goal kick, Farman would quickly grab a conveniently nearby ball to immediately restart the game. Obviously disadvantaging FGR who had most of the players in Carlisle’s half of the field.

He got away with it once but the referee was ‘advised’ of this tactic and told him to always use same ball that went out of play [whenever possible].

That stopped his little game :2thumb:
That would be perfectly allowed in non pandemic times though so I wouldn't call it gamesmanship.

FGR probably forced him into more saves than anyone has done so far this season so was good to see him have a good game. The two goals he could have done nothing to prevent so all in all a good game for him but he flies under the radar a little since we're usually successful in limiting the amount of shots he has to face.

Think if Newport and Tranmere are considered automatic promotion contenders then FGR have to be on the basis of performances, regardless of your lack of goals

I find it amazing they don't seem to be being investigated over it, despite being so brazen about it.
