Four one's not shabby either :D And I know you were probably there mate!
Anyway, insert pisstinpot.jpg.

I was thinking of posting an HMS piss the league meme but thought I’d hold off until we’re at least 10-15 points clear. Don’t wanna get burned again.

I'm more concerned about reaching safety...win our game in hand and I reckon that should just about do it...not looking much further ahead...yet!

Didn't even make it up for the commentary but reading reports and looking at the highlights, Harrogate started well and then gave it a go second half so it's really pleasing to still run out such handsome winners. Definitely don't want to be getting carried away but Rob Edwards is getting some tune out of these players and they seem to be really enjoying it.

Mansfield we’re extraordinarily lucky to win that and with respect (sorry) they were extremely lucky to come across carlisle, who were, well, hopeless.

We bettered the 1st 30 and maybe could have been 2 up, after that it was a real struggle and the last 10 of the 1st half from us was complete dross.

Anyway after ya attacking the north stand in the first half with a gust during halftime the weather decided to pick up into a hurricane, which didn’t help.

A mixture of dogged defending, heaps of good luck, dreadful attacking play by carlisle and some decent saves by bishop meant we somehow won.

I was quick to bemoan our back luck earlier in the season which was justified, it’s only right to comment on it when we get some luck back.

Agreed, we were great for a short time and looked like we might blow them away, but then our game dropped and we were very lucky, despite battling hard.

Carlisle hit the bar twice (I think - once when Bishop was back pedalling but didn't see it clearly) and their corners were very good. Playing like that, we won't keep winning for long.

Until FGR are 10 points clear with just three games remaining of season will their fans sigh a breath of relief.
All of us can remember season 2015-16 and leading the table from Game 3 to Game 19 and still not getting promoted.

Not confident for tonight. Two best attackers out injured and our best midfielder sat on the bench. Has a 0-1 written all over it

Do not fancy us at all for this one.
Swindon imperious away from home and whilst we're solid at Brisbane Road I still don't think we're actually that good
0 - 3 but I hope otherwise.
Reverse psychology at its absolute best.

Bravo Sir.

Firstly I agree that we improved no end when Morris was introduced and were well on top for the last quarter hour. That begs the question of why it took so long to bring him on when Macmanaman was proving ineffective.

However the only decent chance we had pre-Morris was the deflected Hawkes chance towards the end of the first half. We were lucky Oldham weren’t as clinical as Orient or they’d have been out of sight before Kieron was brought on.
We were on top in the second half prior to Morris coming on. Kieron was poor on Saturday and the kick up the backside probably contributed to his performance last night.

I have seen many people describe it as an atrocious game, but given the horrendous conditions I thought both sides played some decent attacking foot all.

You were there, was anyone not poor on Saturday though? The impression from the commentary was that Morris and O'Connor were two of the better performers, though that's not saying much, while Doohan had no chance with any of the goals and didn't do anything wrong.

I agree it looked a decent game last night and still think Oldham look capable of getting out of trouble.

A proper L2 fan would put their own lot in that list.
Don't know what that means...it isn't something anyone from the West Country would say...so not willing to offer my team up for membership.

Get the fuck in

Only caught the last 10 minutes but we were class in them

Much needed win. Delighted for Lee making a good start. Clearly means a lot this job to him

We are unbelievably shite. Our keeper winning motm who made one save and should've been sent off says it all. Absolutely clueless from top to bottom at this club.

With respect, if we had our first team too and weren’t down to 10 men from the 10th minute, you wouldn’t have played such “lovely stuff” and certainly wouldn’t have won 4/5-1. Not a chance.

You can’t bring imaginary fit players back to a perfect scenario but then assume the opposition stays the same.

You did play the referee very well with time wasting I agree, if he isn’t going to punish you then that’s his problem, not yours. This is also why fans got annoyed with him, the throw-in on the 93rd minute took 33 seconds and wasn’t even asked to speed up. The GK started time wasting from the 60th minute, but wasn’t asked at all.

I’m surprised at yours/fellow Vale fans’ comments to say that we must be entitled to want a fairer referee when the Port Vale manager himself said that he was absolutely in your favour. Is he entitled too?

Considering the comments on here, id say the entitlement is quite the other way around.

fuck me never seen anything like it.

you kept hitting our players in the face mate i don't know why you expect a referee to start gifting you decisions because of that?

my dad does this, it drives me nuts. he feels the ref made a mistake and then wants the ref to make mistakes in our favour to "even it up".

honestly still don't really know what decisions he could have made differently to be much fairer? seems a bit silly to go down to 9 men and then moan about the ref because he didn't warn our player for time wasting on a throw in?

Not the best performance but turned it on when it mattered! Ended the run of 5 straight league defeats, that’s all that matters. Good start for Graeme Lee with two wins in two games. Same again Saturday would do nicely.

No wins in 9 or something, 2 wins in 22/23?, 5 wins all season. But give him time to bring in more shite in the transer window or something. Whoever sanctioned the theo robinson signing should face the fucking guillotine.

Crawford changed the game, he's been criminally underused in this team, foot on the ball and his only thought is forward, really impressed with him, has to start in place of Daly Saturday.

We were pretty turgid I thought, crowd in the Town End was just starting to turn on them when Shelton floated that peach of a ball onto Cullen's foot and a touch of luck that we've rarely seen this season for the winner.

Thought Rochdale looked decent and seemingly shot themselves in the foot by taking Odoh off, best player on the pitch by a long shot, more or less handed us all three points.

Aye Crawford has come out of nowhere, looks definitely capable at this level. Even in the 10 mins I saw he was involved in everything

What's the craic with the NWC?

Definitely more direct, a lot of long balls in the first half especially. Crawford has really impressed in recent weeks, couldn’t really get a look in previously but he has stepped up when needed.

The club have closed the end but of the stand where the NWC normally are due to health and safety concerns over the barrier at the side. The same issue was raised when no fans were allowed in and they have done nothing about it, wouldn’t even be expensive. Massive shame, because as cringey as some can be on Twitter the lads there have had a massive impact on the good atmosphere and feel good factor in the last year or so.

Shite news mate. You got any others lined up?
The Duke of Wellington delivered an acceptable distraction, supplemented by a lot of Shipyards in the hotel bar. I only watched last nights goals three times.

Hoping for an FA Cup double header in the New Year - dependent on performance next Weds and TV schedules to seperate Barnsley and Newcastle. But that's not a league game so NO!!

At least I got to see Oldham - first Barrow FL game since Reading away in 1972

Absolutely, seems the club don't want to spend any money shock horror in making it safer. If they're not careful some of them will bugger off and that'll hit Raj where it hurts.

I get that some people don't like the NWC, but it's undeniable that they create a great atmosphere at Pools, the sooner this is sorted and they're back at full capacity the better for everyone at the club, last thing we need now is a split between fans and club officials.

Disappointing with the amount of time they’ve known about the issue, and the little amount it would cost to rectify it, that nothings been done.

Felt for Spike and Nelse tonight, first home game they deserved a good atmosphere, and it was a lot more flat because of it.

A lot of them are just lads out with their mates having a good time. The area hasn't had many good times and the resurgence of the club was a real boost.

We are so shortsighted in terms of financial planning it's ridiculous. And we've had fucken ages to sort it.

It was direct & getting us absolutely nowhere with Cullen & Mols up against two typical giant centre halfs. And to be honest, it was dreadful.
Crawford came on, got the ball down & ran at them.
He totally changed the game & it was even better when Grey came on,Dale just couldn't cope.
I'd have accepted a point before the game, just to stop the rot,so to win after being behind was excellent.
