Im not sure how the psychology of what happened at barrow last season will effect both sides, if we score early will barrow crumble or conversely will barrow come out all guns blazing to prove that our comeback was a 1 off?
A 2-0 win but not sure who for!!!
I doubt it will affect our players too much - I think maybe 3 of our players were in the side for the 3-4 game, though a lot more from Tranmere may have other ideas. I don't think this Barrow side is one for crumbling, unless a centre back/keeper gets sent off, then we're knackered. I still fancy Tranmere to win, but expecting us to make a decent fist of it.
I'm hoping for a better game of football than the last time a Paul Cox team visited Prenton when his Mansfield team parked the bus on the goal line for 90 minutes and got away with a point. The most negative tactics I've ever witnessed from a visiting team. I'm expecting more of the same from Barrow tomorrow night and think the home fans may need to show a bit of patience as the game progresses.
0-0 in front of 4700.
There may be an element of that, but I don't think we'll "park the bus". As I put on another thread, people have a pre-conceived idea of what his teams play like, but we haven't seen that once since he's been here. A clue to how the game goes will depend if Parry starts in midfield or not, I reckon - if he does, then yeah, we've come to defend and nick something, but if not, I don't think we'll have the players to play defensively.
