Many thanks to Sky for moving our game away at Huddersfield to a Monday night. 1,500 on a Saturday, now we'll be lucky to break 500. I was looking forward to it having not been since the FA Cup run and it's certainly one of the better aways in the division but this will probably count me out. I don't think I've ever known a season where our fixture schedule has been so bad away from home.

Leeds fans been fucked over again with a Friday night trip to Brighton and a Thursday night to villa. Wednesday fans at Newcastle on boxing day night. Wolves at QPR on a Thursday. Joke from sky yet again

We get a trip to Bolton on a monday in December! We had Wigan away on a thursday last January - I think Sky must think we're one of the 50 clubs in the greater Manchester area...

Blackburn game has been made a tea time kick off and is on Sky now, so they get a full day of drinking, while the police have made the away game a 12.30 kick off. c***.

The Derby/ Forest game has also been moved to the Sunday which has had a knock-on effect for us, meaning we have a day less to prepare for our trip to Bristol City.

Wouldn't mind Brighton on a Friday night, could make a weekend of it. They had them on a Monday last year IIRC, that's much better for them.

Friday nights are much better than Monday nights for football in my opinion - either way you'd probably have to take a bit of time off work, but at least with a friday you get a weekend after it!

Yeah, our away game at Huddersfield doesn't even get selected in December either  There's not really any others that stick out, but if we stay in the play offs how many other games of 2 teams in the play offs are Sky going to leave off their schedule..?

Our game on Boxing Day with Birmingham had been brought forward from 3.00pm to lunchtime on Police advice.

Now it's on tv the next day, at 3.00pm.

Clearly the wishes of Sky supersede those of the rozzers.

Pretty much as expected, they pick games based on viewing figures. No offence guys but.....

Yeah no doubt, the only part I don't then understand is the smaller attended local derby games, Preston/Blackburn being on tv for example both teams in the lower part of the amount they're on tv, Preston same as us, Blackburn same as you. Most people will be at the game being local and then who would fans of other teams want to watch? A local derby of two teams who at time the game being chosen one in 17th and the other in the drop zone or two teams who are in the play off places with us away at yours the same day? Would think the two teams in promotion places (at time of choosing) would be more likely to draw a better viewing figure.

Blackburn at home 5:30 kick off, cos that's gonna end well.
I'll be spending the whole day on the Diet Coke, Preston won't know what's hit it!

I'd always rather watch a local derby tbh, far more exciting.

Maybe when it involves a team at the top, but honestly can't say I have much of an interest in QPR/Fulham, Preston/Blackburn or the Yorkshire clubs who are near each other in the league. Ipswich/Norwich may be the only one really. I'll probably end up watching if I'm in just because its on though. I'd rather watch two teams in good form/near the top.

I think the difference either way would be minimal, unless it's involving Villa, Newcastle or Leeds.

I'm the same with both Wigan and Blackburn. I'm lucky enough to live in the NW so you'd think they'd be easy enough but going to and from Wigan with work the next day will still be a nightmare for me let along those travelling from the NE.

This is why your club should play crap boring football when on the TV like us (and still win) so that Sky do not pick you as often.

Me not looking hard enough :ffs:! In a complete reversal then, televised or not, that's a cracking one for me.

Haven't been to Ewood since that cracker in the Cup about 4/5 years ago; is the Fernhurst (sp) still there? I remember it, together with it's car park, being one of the best congregating spots I've been to as a visiting fan.
