No one else at this level can boast winning their country's main domestic trophy more than anyone else........
Can't even boast about winning the county's biggest trophy more than anyone else (Worthing).

Football policing gets so much shit, but we’re very lucky with Notts police. Right laugh in the pubs around the ground with them all being mixed and both sets having a sing song, the contrast to Cheshire Police in our game up there is astonishing. Bet the game won’t be held up for 20 minutes today, shock horror.

A Wrexham fan said we should be relegated for our pitch, at least ours is deemed fit to play. Totally unacceptable by Barrow so late as well, the rearrangement should be at a neutral venue.

Pitch looks completely playable too.

We've literally played on a worse surface than that in pissing down rain all winter. Apparently there was a small area where the grass was "a bit loose." Our manager is on saying the referee has been a mess with his excuses and Wild is frustrated for the 900 or so Bradford fans in the town as well as everyone else. Sounds like him and Alexander are on the same page.

We're training on it.

The ref is an absolute twat. What a terrible decision to call it off, especially at 2pm.

If that pitch is unplayable then we're not going to play again at home all season. Ridiculous decision from a referee who clearly couldn't be arsed.

Both managers wanted the game on but the ref is like nah. They have too much power. If both managers want it on then it should be on imo. Hopefully, we lodge a complaint alongside Barrow and the ref faces some disciplinary action for being inept and shit at his job. But it's the EFL so they won't do anything.

Trouble is though you can’t have any areas that are dangerous, it’s not like you can put cones out and say play around it like you can in a training session. If a player steps on the loose bit and snaps his ankle then it’s a massive issue. It looks greener than ours but how green a pitch is doesn’t tell you how it plays. Maybe it was on the red or maybe he got the call right, either way it’s pathetic in the football leagues to have pitches that are in doubt in that sort of weather and that goes for our own pathetic pitch. Teams need to invest more in their facilities and less in overpriced journeymen.

We had this problem a few seasons ago. One area just out side the box in the ne corner was 'loose'. Everywhere else was fine. Then it started oozing black slime!

We ended up having to dig the area up and relay it. All a bit odd.

While it happened everybody pointed out our tinpottedness but nothing to do with that really.

On the football game today. Lindsey has kept with his idea to neutralizer our most attacking threat by playing our left winger on the right and a right winger on the left.

No crosses please.

Luke Norris after scoring in a behind closed doors midweek friendly is deemed fit enough to be on the bench at FGR following his operation. No surprise with an unchanged line-up after Stockport win. Trialist referee getting his first FL fixture, hope it won't be him getting talked about at 5pm tonight.

A good pitch could wipe out a large L2 budget in terms of initial cost and upkeep. I think this is something that maybe the EFL need to play a part in, maybe some sort of funding with a agreed repayment.

For what it’s worth, Mansfield spent a couple of hundred thousand on drainage and it’s still been ruined this season in the FA Cup game against Wrexham to satisfy ESPN.

Our pitch has been really really good for a fair while now and has a great record of keeping games on.

Still surprises me on visits to the Lane in the colder months to see lush green carpet of a pitch, as in years gone by the shadow of our main stand caused real issues with frost/hard surface and never looked much cop on closer inspection.

Our FA Cup tie with Man City in 2011 the pitch looked like the Somme. It's now a billiards table compared to then.

Worth spending the money on.

Matty Stevens pulled up in the warm-up. Erk. already on a prayer against an in form other Rovers. McAllister in is not too shabby.

But it has to be Barrow's fault for having grass on it.

not playing too badly but yet again we are really struggling to make any proper chances. Haven't been used to this for the past few seasons.

Excellent. Was a decent lower league contest with not too much goal mouth action, then Tranmere had a spell on top and Apter had a couple of decent efforts. Was thinking we were short of ideas going forward with Stevens pulling out last minute but then have just gone ahead at death with one of our best moves of the season.

Constant wrong decision making in the final third. We've played decent stuff and on the front foot again which is what we've needed to do away from home. Gillingham are there for the beating.

2 mistakes punished and we're chasing the game again. Same old story really.

Would have to see it again but how that challenge on McGoldrick wasn't even a foul, with the laws the way they are these days, I have no idea.

Sounds a fairly even game at the New Lawn but Forest Green take the lead in added time. Did we switch off for their goal, however good the finish?

I'd say not, it really was a decent move. The much maligned Osadebe strong again, he's been great since joining. You were getting the upper hand for the latter part of the half by and large, though your two decent chances were mostly Apter doing it by himself. One mix up between JMT and out loan goalie too which was a bit hairy, passed it back well behind the keeper who'd come for it but fortunately missed the goal too.

Our luck may have turned. Gillingham score from a free kick that was pretty debateable.

Its still gonna be a league two pitch next season though

From the sounds of it we’ve missed one from a yard out to win it in injury time, put it over the bar. :gmc:
