Hung on with ten men after some Inniss madness and a ridiculous eight minutes added and near ten played. SC has transformed this defence, should think Tranmere will be frustrated with their approach play, not much beyond the excellent Apter.

Second half we were dreadful but we still deserved a point I thought even with that. Gillingham offered very little going forward and we got done by a clever set piece.

Marriott gives me Billy Waters vibes, he will never score a goal for us.

We are in such a frustrating period where every game seems to be an away game, and we are terrible away. Although today, like Tuesday, may have been a different story if we weren't so abject in front of goal.

Gillingham played for a draw and snatched a win so fair play to them.

Artell plays Hurstball and gets an away draw against the odds in typical Hurst fashion. I wonder if it was a player revolt? Although we had a few out so hand was forced somewhat

Much better performance. A draw probably the right result but we could have and should have won it. Clifton's best game for a while, hopefully we stick with wing backs and 3 CBs as we looked a hell of a lot more solid.

Wrexham you better not get beaten by FGR in the week!!

FGR suddenly winning a game against in-form Tranmere right before playing us is it? Okay.

Sad to announce I am hitting the panic button if we don’t win Tuesday. The panic button is situated very closely to the Maynard Out button. That was hopeless today, Crewe managed the game very well but we were so disjointed and unbalanced in every facet of the game. Some might say we are beleaguered.

Oh how the fans moaned so much at BP about Hurstball…and now it is probably our best (only?) option to scrape enough points to stay above the veggies.

perfect away performance and should have been 5 or 6 in the second half.

Stocky has absolutely lost it.

Imagine thinking we'd score 3 today.

Not sure we even got a shot on target. Dreadful.

Couple of weeks ago us and Walsall were thinking mid table obscurity. Not a bad season but no great shakes. Now! Just outside the play offs (we have a game in hand).

It's the bloody hope that kills you.

Didn't go today but reports say it was close but our keeper was probably the man of the match. Very pleased for him. When he joined us, as a back up, he had played around five games in five years and it showed. Injuries, loan recalls and suddenly he is our number 1. We had to put up with the learning curve but he has steadily improved, grown in confidence and has become a decent league 2 keeper. Still room for improvement but I'm beginning to believe he can move upwards.

Looks like some kind of inversion of the typical Stockport season is happening. Goals have almost dried up from 29 mins into their game at Blundell Park…

We could have hit double figures today and Newport couldn't have complained, men against boys in all honesty. Tightening up at the top now.

Two Norrises and a Morris on or Tranmere, the commentator's friends.
Luke Norris came on for Morris after he’d been clattered.

While I hope you stay up wasn’t expecting us to give you such assistance towards that testing goal today. It sounded like we were toothless in the second half for all the possession and goal attempts only one actually tested your keeper. The sooner we get that last win to guarantee FL survival and can start looking towards next season the better!

Man is playing 4D chess.

Bolton is quicker than Barnett but isn't a patch on him as a footballer.

While you'll always be nervous in our situation and with the red, it really was rarely complete backs to the wall bar one extended scramble right at the death. When you did get a decent cross over there was no-one attacking it. We weren't any better but had the excuse of stevens dropping out right before kick-off. At least our winner was a very good goal.

The Inniss suspension for Tuesday is a bit of a blow. He certainly earned his red with a couple of wayward clatterings but that's as much part of what makes him one of our better players willing to get stuck in. Maybe just tone it down a touch, eh Ryan?

Right, we’ve won 5-1, but i’ve got to put on record the abysmal performance of the ref which was astonishing all round, that’s unreal.

It’s alright moaning when you’ve lost and folk think you’re complaining but equally you’ve got to comment when such shoddy officials benefit you. The refs this season are a shambles,

Salford’s biggest problem being is that they came and played open attacking football, like really don’t do that here, you’ll lose.

Salford aren’t an easy side to like.

Yes, we looked short of confidence, belief and everything else. Players out of position and multiple formations during the game. Maynard needs the win on Tuesday and I'm not at all sure he's going to get it.
Bostock needs dropping, we're so slow and lacklustre in the middle.

Crewe looked by far the better team overall, more savvy and had the legs on us.

Could’ve done with county getting something from crewe, but as is consistently the case this season they lost to a quality side, silly me.
