Northampton v Hartlepool is generally one of the biggest home bankers on the calendar. Pools tend to win their home fixtures against them but lose away. We haven't won in Northampton since 1969, and have taken just six points from the 27 visits since then.

We all know what happens next...

If hartlepool could win tomorrow and lose tuesday that would be grand

Don’t be like that. Let’s all hope Hartlepool win all their games for the rest of the season
Hartlepool seem to be offloading their players to Chesterfield so maybe they are on the beach already?

We've hoyed a couple of squad players (Gav Holohan and Zaine Francis Angol) back to non league in the past few days, get some wages out the door for players who aren't featuring and weren't gonna be here next season anyway.

Chesterfield in this case were disguised as Grimsby (Holohan) and Stockport (Francis-Angol, loan), but the same applies.

Bristol Rovers will win easily tomorrow. Our best 2 midfielders are out for the season and they are probably the best team in the league.

But it doesn’t really matter. Thanks to the excellent work Paul Simpson has done, we possibly only need 3 or 4 moer points to be safe. There will be plenty mote opportunities to get them.

Carlisle Utd 0-3 Bristol Rovers

Wish I had your optimism.

Would have taken a draw before but your midfielders being out does excite me, I won’t lie.

Will be interesting to see how we play, we’ve had so many Tuesday /Saturday games that we’ve finally now had a week off

There is that but I'm surprised they hoyed out ZFA, he's the only cover for Ferguson. Club basically admitting the season is over. I would've kept Angol for next season or at least given him a platform to prove he's worth more games - if he even wanted to stay that is.

Dunno why really but looking forward to the Northampton game. It was a good watch at The Vic, two sides with two contrasting styles. We were lucky to win and struggled to contain them for 2/3 of the match before i think we brought on Grey and he changed the game. Tough ask today but maybe we can pull off another shock result.

I would've liked to hang onto ZFA but I suppose you've gotta take the player's wishes into consideration too, he's barely had the opportunity to string a run of games together in his time here because of how good Sterry/Ferguson are, I imagine it's got the point now at Pools were he just wants to play footy regularly somewhere.

As usual, same with Holohan, the Twitter histrionics about a player leaving have been unbearable.

It's also because ZFA went to Stockport

It's gonna be unbearable when we come up against them next season

Antony Evans out for us, that should level it out a bit. No Nick Anderton either :ffs:

I’d have started Martin against the aerial bombardment and had a fresh midfielder on the bench personally but please Willo and Procs are ok after Tuesday.

Lorne Street sold out so should be a half decent crowd.

You say that but it’s not as though Walker is a midget or owt like that. So long as the communication between the three is right we’ll be ok. Always the option to push Walker into midfield too as a change up option as the game progresses.

Each game will have this tag but this feels like our biggest one yet this season. Haven’t forgotten the way the first game ended so to give them one back would be nice as much as admire what Sutton have done this season.

when Holohan scored that goal against us, I just figured he was gonna be one of your key players this season.

Watt and Walker fit to start is a huge boost which allows us to play football and I'm more confident now than I was this time last week for sure.

Despite what the history books say I am not confident at all about todays game. Its a must win for us as far as I am concerned also.

Yeah like Oldham we just forgot how to defend balls into the box and cost us a deserved win. Referee was awful too! If we get it down and play we should cause them problems again though and crucial not to get dragged into a long ball game like we often do.

It’s huge today. Win puts us in the top 7 ahead of some kinder fixtures and gives us chance to really push on the last 8 games. Lose and we could be back to 4 off again and back to square one.

We’ve got the 7 points from 4 in the first 3 that I wanted mind but rather get another 3 today and less pressure on the run in.

We're defending a ridiculously high line today. Interesting to see how that plans out. Rovers look very solid at the back and full of energy and nice passing going forward. Pretty action packed game so far.

bright start from Mansfield but Oldham took the lead from a header. Rhys Oates just keeps shooting at the goalie it’s a mystery.

We've missed two one on ones and now we're losing because Harrogate have scored straight from a corner

What a way to just sum up our season

Proctor has just scored one of the best goals I’ve ever seen live.
