Was it disallowed or something. My scores app says 0-0

No counted and was a decent header.

Our strongest department is midfield and unfortunately its non-existent Again, we’ve abandoned what did so well for us. Still think we can turn this around but currently it’s Oldham on top.

Rovers have had the vast majority of the possession. However for most of the game when we do get it we've used it well and looked positive' until the last ten minutes when we've looked tired and made mistakes. Whistles just gone for half time and glad to get in 0-0 to recharge and maybe adjust our tactics. Should really be a goal down but I think it was a centre back who had their best chance clean through with only Howard to beat and just passed it into his hands. We had it in the back of net at one point but it was offside.

Last 30 of that first half was quite frankly embarrassing from Mansfield, midfield got bossed about. No Maris or Clarke in the squad today but Clough not been playing them anyway. Big change needed for the second.

Good value for the 2-0 lead I reckon. We need to be careful as Sutton are playing this ref quite well and just need to make sure our discipline remains good.

Anyway Jamie Proctor with his best Di Canio impression. Take a bow sir

Sutton have been pathetic. Their game plan basically seems to be to play for free kicks, which this appalling ref has given them time after time. They have threatened a bit more but any team buying cheap free kicks will get the ball into the box. They've put so many out of play though.

Good couple of goals and Sutton should be a man down. Lad went in 2 footed on Proctor who admittedly made a meal of it. Irrelevant of whether he got the ball, it was out of control.

Need to be wise to their tactics second half as they'll no doubt play on this weak ref for more fouls and blast it into our box at any opportunity.

Early signs in the second half not much has changed.

You wonder how Bristol Rovers were ever in a situation at the start of the season where it looked like they might get dragged into the relegation scrap. Easily the best team I've seen at Brunton Park this season.

Little Smyth has put us one up with an(other) outstanding goal after his screamer last week, so Proctor will have some competition for goal of the day. Barrow are absolute pish but we’re so bad at the back that they’ll probably get back into it.

Edit: Oops, maybe not. 2-zip.

Really? I think we have been off the pace a bit and not really creating many clear chances at the other end. You have definitely had the better chances.

I'd probably agree with that, you've been very wasteful given the quality of the rest of your play and we've started to threaten again.

And just as I write that we score. Games far from over though.

Referee got in the way of the ball during a Mansfield attack and gave Oldham a drop ball? That’s a 3 division demotion for him at least surely.

We win right at the death, we were much improved in the second half but we must improve our overall performances immediately.

Yeah, second time Dennis has gotten into that sort of position. The first time your keeper pulled off a pretty excellent instinct save.

Absolutely hopeless from us - couldn't even get close to Orient second half. Mansfield may have kept us up (thanks), but we wouldn't deserve it in the slightest.

Professional second half performance to see out a routine win. 1 loss in 15 and players coming back. Positive few games. Sutton were awful today, came to try and bully us but unlike the game at their place we’ve toughened up since then.

A lot has changed since simmo came in but one of the most notable transformations has been the performance of Dynel Simeu. Under Millen he was really struggling but has been outstanding the last few games and well deserved man of the match today. Hope we can get him back next season.

I don’t know if ultimately we go up or not but today feels like a huge result and performance. Dominant when we needed to be and professional to see it out. They are doing DC proud lately.

Those bloody ballboys though. Its getting an annoying thing in football of late. i dont mind when they leave it which is what ours sometimes do, but to kick it away or hold onto it is bang out of order and needs stopping imo

Newport were the worst top half club to come here this season, just shows how shit we’ve been that we’re so far below. Missed two sitters and controlled the game, Newport got what they came for tbf.

Absolute sickener. Again. 3rd time in 6 games we’ve lost in the last minute. Mentality and lack of depth will see us down.

Thought it was an entertining game between us and Barrow, the first goal was key in the end, which Paul Smyth obliged with yet another spectacular finish for the second week in a row - Punishing Paul Farmans bad positioning judgement.

Both sides had chances in the first half, as expected we wasn't anywhere near as good as we have been under Wellens, we was clearly a bit off, but that was expected with all the games we've had to play. I feel a better side would've punished one or two of the brain farts we had at the back today.

Ref made a few odd calls in our favour, big shout for a penalty in the first half for Barrow for a handball - from what I saw it didn't look conclusive.

Ruel Sotiriou scored again with another tidy finish for 6 goals in 7 games. Making Kenny Jacketts judgement on him looking rather poor as we speak as he never game him a chance.

I didn't think Barrow were that bad, but they had very little cutting edge up top - Vigs had saves to make but they was all rountine ones I felt.

The archetypal routine home win. We weren't bad, but we weren't good enough. Northampton were perfectly competent, did what they needed to do, took the points. On to Tuesday and a meeting with last season's POTY and top scorer.

We had some really good chances to be fair but we were in and out the game. Their forwards gave our defence the runaround at times.

It wasn't a terrible display but they won the midfield battle, Morris just back from injury but you either play Crawford at the base of the three or bench him, isn't providing a cutting edge in the final 1/3 at the minute and his finishing is so poor.
