What a blow, easy three points for Cambridge today both Wilson and Harrison injured along with Politic.

That’s literally our whole goal threat gone

The only good explanation for me is Covid if all of them are out. If it’s not and they are all injured then I would love to know what they’ve been doing in training the last couple of days.

Could be, if so hopefully they came down early last week so be back for Ipswich! If another injury crisis beckons then serious questions need answering.

It has to be, I refuse to or at least don’t want to believe we’d be so negligent to have all of them injured in training. Just as well Cambridge is a nice place to come to I guess.

Moore-Taylor out again. Bollocks.

Tbf a number of our injured players such as Boyes, Matt and Fiabema are starting to come back this last week or so, which is a good sign. JMT is such a crucial part of our defence though, keeping a clean sheet will be a challenge.

Morsy is Micky Adams one big mistake, he broke through from our youth team under Adams (who in fairness was always reluctant with younger players to blood them).

He got a ridiculous sending off flying in two footed when we were cruising to a 2-0 win against Rochdale, we ended up drawing 2-2 and he was pretty much banished after that.

Went off to Chesterfield and although we got a sell on when he left there we’d have no doubt got much more had we stuck with him.

Looks to have grown into a real player and suppose if you take that part of his game away you lose a bit of what he gives you.
Our whole fan base unanimously has him as our best midfielder in many years, he just gets a lot of bookings. His ban for Tuesday is going to be interesting to see how we cope without hI’m.

Wilson or Harrison are on we probably lead. Now our keeper is struggling after a collision.

Hit the post now. Come on Vale we can’t afford to be so wasteful away from home!

Keeper injured so on comes Stone. That’s seven out now that are usually starting.

Cracking point against Wednesday.

You could see their quality throughout the game, but we didnt help our cause gifting them the opener. Rest of the first half we couldnt get close (apart from a few times we closed down their strikers) and they were very comfortable. Didnt really test our keeper though. Could hear the frustrations from the fans.

Came out 2nd half and what ever we did worked. Scored a cracker straight away. Wednesday looked more threatening 2nd half as had to look for the winner, apart from Bannan missing an easy chance, too many times they shot and messed ip from range. We defended so well from their aerial threar.

Wednesday fans very strange. Vocal outside and ground and in the build up, but so quiet during the game. Looks like they also ripped up a handful of seats that the stewards were trying to sort at the end.

4 points from Ipswich and Wednesday. Crazy.

Ridiculous decision. We have 3 left wing backs at the club and he’s decided to try and shoe horn Dapo in there. Can’t get my head around it. And Sadlier can’t get a game. I love Evatt but he’s starting to make some strange decisions and last couple of weeks we’ve gone from looking really good to terrible especially away from home.

Maybe lucky only to be the one down but sort of still in it though bit toothless. Ref seems keen on letting anything bar full on assault go, which is actually refreshing.

Fair score at half time. Fleetwood very lively and getting down our flanks very easily, their only real chance was the goal and that took a wicked deflection.
We should have opened the scoring as Diabate was unmarked from a corner. Good goal to equalise though.
Hope we can step it up second half though and I can't see Fleetwood keeping this up for 90 minutes.

We’ve had a fair few chances but missing the killer touch, their keeper has made a couple of good saves though. Game we need to be capitalising on.

Cambridge look poor but we're understandably struggling to put away chances. We have to try and take advantage against a side clearly low on form and confidence.

Imagine my shock when he moves Dapo back to left wing and plays players in their strongest positions we actually look dangerous.

Dapo has to play left wing for the rest of season now. In a 433 or a 523 I don’t care but what a difference when we moved him back to his best position. Accy have been time wasting since they scored in the 8th minute

Deserved win despite the injury crisis, who needs a striker when one of their defenders can rifle one home for you!

Big result that against a side really out of form, now nervously waiting to see any news on Willo and Harrison.

What character these boys have.

Theres nothing worse than losing a match in extra time, particularly after at one time leading in the game. Really disappointed to not get something from this but fair play to Exeter. 2 successive home games coming up and we need to start finding 3 points from somewhere

Fair play, although Cambridge failing to score did cost me £300

Disappointed not to win that in the end. We certainly gave the leaders a good test in what was a great game of football.
Proper competetive game of football that. We desperately missed our physical centre half in Dan Scarr, your big boys up top ran us ragged in the second half and we couldn’t get to grips with it. We huffed and puffed a little without really influencing the game but im sure That will prove to be a decent point on the road come the end of the season.

Best Shrewsbury on Tuesday and it will be a fantastic result

I thought we were lucky to win that, a bit of brilliance from Josh Key to set up the winner. Couple of good saves from Lynch too but it was hardly the Alamo.
Diabate limos off, another defender down

Two decent sides I thought. Pasoti doesnt agree with that regarding us though it seems! :bg:

You've got promoted from league 2 and settled in pretty well. Believe your still waiting for a new manager so once that's sorted it will give you plenty to look forward to
Btw there's nothing sweeter winning when you've been lucky, I just hope we can get there, sooner rather than later !!

You will learn to ignore Pasoti like most Argyle fans do im sure mate. I thought you controlled a large part of the second half and fully deserved the point. Can see you taking a few scalps at the mem on that form

Yeah we have been improving of late, similar to last season. Mid table will be a decent finish this season and then build from there.
Already looking forward to the return match at HP!

We lost but were always in the game at least. Mingi was the best player on the pitch for me, and was that his first start?

Thoroughly enjoyed that, great place to come before the game and on the pitch that went a lot better than I ever could have hoped when the team news came out.

Think Mipo really came of age up front for us. Worked his bollocks off and him and Massey had a nice partnership. Glad we played to their strengths. Will Forrester again is putting together a series of games where he is just dominant at the back. If being uber-critical given how much we controlled the game we should not really have needed an OG to win it but as said before the game we create a lot but are wasteful.

Cambridge I gather have some players out injured so that’s always tough to deal with but those who did play you could tell early on they were a side low on confidence. Just need something to drop to get them going I feel.
