I gotta feeling that tonights gonna be a good night
That tonights gonna be a good night
That tonights gonna be a good good night

Can't wait to batter those fish and go back to our rightful place, TOP OF THE LEAGUE..

Off up the ground now for a few pre match pints. Stopping off to get some fish and chips on the way. Battered haddock seemed appropriate.
Make sure you tell your #toplads to bring their testicles to the playoffs.

Grimsby were decent, FGR predictable in attack.. fancy that their title challenge will come to an abrupt end after their next two games.

In all honesty, it was a terrible conference game. Disley popped up at the right time like he always does. FGR were the better team in the second half.

Well done Grimsby, showed them what a REAL football club is all about. :brill:

Same again in the play-offs please. The more millions he spunks down the drain the sooner Swampy will piss off.

Backhanded dig at BT Sport in PH's post match.

Yep, to say that was 2nd vs 3rd didn't really advertise the division very well.

All that money spunked on the team, and the pitch was shit. I know we have our problems with our pitch, but we dont have any money.

Well in Grimsby. Up to us now to take advantage of it.

Has there been a decent game on BT Sport yet this season? Ours v Wrexham wasn't bad, but hardly great.

Quite enjoyed ours against Lincoln, but again hardly great.

Well done Grimsby. Fully deserved and i hope they get promoted. Fans were absolutely class, better than anything i've ever seen at this level. Fairplay.

It's fairly apparent that we play a disgusting style of football but in general, i thought that was a awful advert for non league football. Looked like 22nd Vs 23rd haha

Over to you Cheltenham..

Only really ever confirmed my suspicions. The two most deserving clubs will win promotion, those being Cheltenham and Grimsby. I think the FGR fan(s) will have an interesting ride on this forum next season, one or two posters dropping away.

Didn't realise that many Grimsby fans had been turfed out of our gaffe. Oh well, if you will behave like typical northern monkeys....

Looking forward to "battering" you on Friday. ;)

Grimsby have never really had the quality to compete with us or Cheltenham this season, and looking at their run in top 5 isn't guaranteed yet either.

Grimsby aren't good enough to challenge us or Cheltenham whoever their manager is. Gloucs domination all the way.

Best. Woking looked very good against us, as did Macclesfield.

Worst. Kiddy were pretty dire, but pound for pound Grimsby looked very average, all that money spent and still toothless.

Grimsby have looked average against most half decent teams, the only reason they've scored so many is because they've smashed the shite teams.

Who wants a fight then, come on you fucking pussies? Do you even know what my job is? Yeah well I'm not telling you because it's massive important. If you beat me at fighting I will tell you what I do. PM to arrange a fight you fucking Northern monkeys. Just not Wednesday though, because the new club catalogue is being delivered then and apparently Elliot Frear is the main model for our new hideous lime green training tops so I'm gonna stay in and enjoy it.

For all their big talk and pre-season bullishness, Grimsby are actually looking a very average side. Not good enough to beat any of the main contenders

Having watched that, I can't believe how far Grimsby are from us and FGR, not much at all between the two. Beat Welling tomorrow and a 4 point gap with 9 to play will be tough to overcome.

As you are on my bet slip you haven't got a hope in hell of winning.

Our game at Stalybridge has just been predictably called off. Half frozen and half waterlogged.

Not trying to wind up any FGR supporters, but whether against us or on the box, I genuinely can't ever recall seeing an FGR performance and thinking "Wow, that's a good team".

Didn't see the game but it sounds like typical Grimsby. Solid as fuck away from home, clean sheet then nick a goal in the last 20 mins.

As Luke said would thing we'll be unchanged unless Widlin comes in at left back Beevers to left back and Wood into midfield with Power or Tempest dropping to the bench.

But apart from all that, unchanged.

If you read our forum you might find that you aren't alone in having that opinion. This despite the team winning the first nine games of the season and the defeat last night ending a ten game unbeaten run. My view is that we have a team who are very hard to beat and capable of grinding out results, sometimes doing so when circumstances or expectation might have been otherwise, it is often said that that is the sign of a successful team.

When I look at other teams in the Conference there aren't too many players I would rather have in my team, who could make a big difference on those we have already. That said, if you had offered me Amond, Disley or McKeown, from the Grimsby team I would probably rip your arm off, they are better than Parkin, Pipe and Arnold (although his performances recently, and last night, have been pretty decent).
