Less of the personal attacks, DSL. Should know better as a moderator I'd have thought.

Evenings like last night make it all worthwhile. Although it wasn't a very pretty game I thought we just about deserved the win. A great goal too from a fantastic ball in by Monkhouse and a superb header from Diz.

Thought our fans were magnificent last night, nowhere near as many as we would have taken had the game been today but we didn't shut up from about half an hour before kick off, all throughout the game and for a while afterwards. Finally got home about 2.30am this morning having been diverted off the A180 due to nighttime closures.

On another note, surely if FGR do ever make it into the league then they surely have to relocate. We got to Nailsworth about half 5 and after a few drinks in the village drove up to the ground. We got there about an hour before kick off and the main car park was already full and we got one of the last few spaces in the overflow car park. As we were walking to the ground we saw a couple of parking wardens with £ signs flashing in their eyes.

If that was for a crowd of less than 2000 then how they will ever cope with 1500 or so Pompey or Plymouth fans I don't know.

1-0 to Torquay. Overhead kick hits the bar, bounces off the mid-dive Snedker and goes in. Can we have any luck this season? :dk:

Agree totally, we do struggle with larger crowds due to our location, but have a park and ride on the road to Stroud that operates whenever the crowd is likely to exceed something like 2500. Clearly that would have to operate more often, if we ever did get into the league, for games where a large away following were expected. Plans for the new ground are still at the planning stage, proceeding at the usual snails pace, if approved and built we should be there in a couple of seasons time.

I understand there has been a recount on the attendance, someone must have left their calculator at home, it has now been confirmed as 2242...the total figure they gave out last night of 1901 was just the home fans.

Yep our crowd was 2242 last night, so not far off 2000 home fans. Definitely an improvement. Your lot made some noise and waved your fish/bananas/sex toys* and obviously enjoyed beating us for a change.

And glad my pre match banter was enjoyed by the Grimsby mob on here. Fair play, you got lucky last night as our team aren't used to Friday night games and forgot that we were playing. The ringers we had gave it a good go, which shows the lack of quality in your side.

We'll do you in the play-offs, no trouble.

2-0 to Torquay. Header from Blissett. Not sure I can listen to this for much longer.

Rhead misses a penalty that would have ended the game. 1-0 at ht we are still in it.

Two stonewall penalties mean we are winning 2-0, Gateshead have offered nothing to the game so far and it is very comfortable. Same again second half please.

Aldershot could have no complaints if they were three down, let them off the hook majorly that 45 minutes.

Still all to play for.

That's more like it, 3-0.

Easy head-in for Higdon from inch perfect Kirby cross.

This Aldershot side are criminally bad, they really really are. Not sure how they've evaded a relegation battle on this evidence.

Arthur Gnahoua has been brilliant for us 2-2 somehow.

Rovers should be 5 or 6 up but against run of play Gateshead get one back.

The Aldershot side that before today were 3rd in the form table behind Cheltenham and FGR? Off day and missing our best midfielder will have a lot to do with it.

3-2 Torquay but massive shouts of handball, if it's true then this is the 4th game in 5 we've been screwed over by the ref.
