That was typical of most of our games at Selhurst!
Exactly and what makes me laugh is now all these 'fans' who have jumped over to AFC blame Wankelman for the fucking move, it's largely down Sam fobbing it off to these two clowns who thought they were buying somethingn they weren't, a lot of pain that season was felt for fans like me to fight to the bitter end and ultimately lose.

I was there doing the collections.

I was there when everyone turned their backs on the team and started up AFC and I'm still fucking here now in MK. I certainly wasn't in the majority of Wimbledon fans who switched allegiance to set up a club with WISA.

Can you believe that the hockey stadium has been demolished. Yes, It wasn't the greatest stadium for football but a lot of lower league clubs would have given their eye teeth for a stadium with those facilities.

It's only next season that we will truly see if Stadium:MK can be a good home ground from the atmosphere point of view.

That Hockey Stadium was fucking vile, went in 2005 when we drew 2-2, my mate was on the pitch when we made it 2-1 and got lifted, only to shrug off the attentions of the stewards and run back in amongst our lot behind the goal.

Don, you seem a passionate but angry man, perhaps you're still really a Wimbledon fan and have trust issues about things.

I'd liken Wimbledon/MK Dons to Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader scenario when Wimbledon turned to the dark side.. They lost all the good and MK Dons are now more machine than a football club, Winkleman is your Emperor Palpatine only a bit noncier looking and less trustworthy.

As for the Scunthorpe fan, I'd nip off back downstairs your opinion is meaningless, much like your club. :D

No different at the new place. In fact, I did it on Sunday:2thumb:

The only thing good about the NHS was the location; a minute's walk from the station and loads of pubs/parking in the centre. Oh, and maybe a steel temporary stand with a low roof. Lots of noise in there.

As you leave the train station, there is a Marks & Spencer's to the left, an Indian restaurant to the right and a Chiquitos straight ahead

If you search me on YouTube, you'll see I'm responsible for the videos way back when we first moved to MK.

And welcome to the forum too.... We aren't really losing many people from the Championship forum with Blackpool, Millwall and ummmmm whoever the other club was.... Wigan "We bought Andy Delort because he wants to play for a club that brings players on" Athletic, but seems we are getting a fair few decent fans coming up with MK Wimbles. Although Scum's so quiet, he certainly won't say much.

Championship Forum should be livelier next season. My first prediction is that this thread will be on the front page for most of next season.

(Admit there were a couple of decent Millwall fans here. Hope to see them back soon)

I prefer the club to the city. Milton Keynes is like a sterile version of ...well....Milton Keynes, I guess. Someone getting a repeat prescription for Fluoxetine gets a page in the local paper.

Exactly, plenty to do and see.

In all seriousness, the stadium has changed a lot since a lot of fans have visited. There are now plenty of shops/restaurants and a cinema behind the away end. A casino and a Wetherspoons would have been better for visiting fans but most of us MK folk prefer to have the option of sneaking off to enjoy a Cappuccino and a movie if the football is crap. #modernsoccer

Yeah but mate i don't go to a football stadium for the Asda, the Double Tree hotel or the chain restaurants, I go for the game, i like to have a beer in a proper pub not manufactured pap!

Not only MK are like this though, plenty of the new builds are the same.

In fairness, there are 'proper' pubs within walking distance and if you are that bothered you can always go to places like Stony Stratford and get a taxi to the game. If you just roll up at the stadium at 2pm, the best we can offer is a 4 pack of Carlsberg from ASDA and a fantastic pick & mix stall.

It is a pain of a stadium if you want a bit of alcohol indulgence in a 'traditional' (shithole) pub though, that of course is true (always welcome for a pint or two in the Red Dot Bar though).
