Oh dear, the inbred brothers seem to be upset.

What's up children, you like to dish it out but you don't like me having the right of reply? Never mind, it's only the Internet, you're safe to call me all the names you like on here, and nobody will hurt you. It's about your level though, as you never say boo to a goose when (if???) you come to Oxford.

You would have shit yourselves in the 70s and 80s.

I'm not dishing out anything Eric. I go to football to have a few beers, maybe a chat with some of the opposition fans, go to the game, have a few beers and go home.

I've already said I've never been to a Swindon/Oxford game, the 'off the pitch' part that you are clearly so interested in does nothing for me at all.

It's 2016, not the 70s or 80s Eric, perhaps it's time to grow up and calm down fella.

It's a shame really because all of the other Oxford fans on here seem pretty decent. I might be able to have an intelligent football based chat with them at least.

So calling me an oxygen thief isn't dishing it out?

No surprise to me that the majority of posts in this thread seem to be from City fans, they're spoilt for choice being able to post about both Swindon and Rovers, but they probably don't care about either of us:fing:

Looking forward to the new season, amazing that DC undone all of Higgs hard work in two seasons.

I guess being old enough to remember the 70s & 80s we had some interesting games against City. I remember the game at Swindon when the ref had to take the teams off early due to trouble.
And the game at Ashton Gate at the end of the season where we kept City out of the play-offs to let (of all teams) Gillingham in. The aftermath of that game was akin to the OK corral. Probably the only time watching Town (including many trips to the Pox) where I was actually worried about our safety

Evening Mario...

For what it's worth, I genuinely don't care about Swindon. For obvious reasons, I still hate you scummy bastards though.

Oh, we care about rovers, don't ever doubt that! Like a mother cares about her afterbirth, you know it stinks but you have interest in what happens! ;)
You'll get used to the forums Mario, don't take it too seriously.

Ah, the Inn on the Green'. That was naughty, very naughty! Like most clubs, the gas have got a 'naughty' element but that one was really poor. If idiots want to fight opposing idiots then (excuse the pun) knock yourselves out but it should never effect normal supporters. Attacking average joe Swindon fans in the Inn on the Green was a dreadful thing to do.
Imagine what it's like if / when we play them??
Oh come on Ciderup, that's bollocks and you know it  Im sure the City fans are so innocent when we play each other and just want to watch the game and go home. You guys are such a family club, do you even have a 'mob'? I personally was shocked to hear those few years ago when the City fans accidentally fell into a wine shop in Wolves, smashing the glass. And then when they tried to clear the mess up, accidentally kept on breaking more bottles and eventually smashed the whole shop up ;)

I remember being chased down the streets near AG by city 'fans' with baseball bats after we drew 0-0 in the JPT back in 2007. We all have stories of each other, sadly its all the morons who get the share of the news.

On a separate note though, I must say, this thread is already a contender for thread of the season

A Rovers fan named MarioBalotelli...

Seriously though welcome, and as CU says yes we do care, but we care about our own team more cause we're normal football fans.

There was one that had 400 pages called 'Non-League Bristol Rovers' as well that's in the archives, amuse yourself if you like.

So some of our supporters are a little bit 'hand fisted'. We're all lovely and cuddly at the Gate, family club of the year blah, blah, blah. ;)
We never punch police horses, nor opposition goal keepers. We're a very friendly bunch.

That was the one I meant. If you're ever above us in my lifetime I'll never hear the end of it, so it's only fair whilst the years keep racking up of us being below us that you take your shed load.

Yeah, as JJH points out it works both ways. Even so no proper fan cares more about there rivals than they do their own, but obviously we all take an interest in your results.

Had a bid for Moncur turned down as well, by all accounts.

I was concerned for next season but if we continue to be active early on in this window rather than changing half the squad on deadline day I'll be a lot more confident.

Steady!

I'll be more impressed if we keep Ajose and Obika.
