Three episodes into the second series of True Detective. Enjoying it so far. It's managing to be quite different from the first series but with a lot of welcome similarities.

About to watch the last episode of Billions (once the football finishes). Have loved it, strong cast and all the pretty technical stuff is easy to follow without being dumbed down too much.

Anyone got any ideas on what I can watch next? Have seen most of the big shows (The Wire, Breaking Bad, TWD etc) but am stuck on what should come next.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Halfway through Rubber, which was the oddest thing I'd ever seen until the wife gave up and went to bed and I switched on Comedy Central to see Jason Manford lipsynching 'Let it Go' while dressed as Elsa while watched by Michelle Keegan and Mel B.

Bit odd really, loads of potential though. Role on June.

I really enjoyed it too, although I recommended it to someone today, went to explain what it was about and realised I had no idea.

Bumped to an episode of Sherlock on TV these days and despite very long I found it really interesting and now I'm thinking seriously about to start watching it. But have to finish Breaking Bad first.

I just finished watching the fourth series of The Wire.

Unbelievably good, absolutely gutting at times - my favourite so far.

I'm prepared to be disappointed by the final series.

I started watching The Wire a few weeks ago. About half way through series one at the minute, but I have to say I'm a little underwhelmed so far. I think because people big it up so much, I was [naively] expecting it to be amazing from minute one, but so far I'd describe it as 'steady'. I haven't even watched any for about two weeks now.

I'm assuming from all the hype that it picks up sooner rather than later?

I was hooked from the very start to be honest but you've got a hell of a lot to look forward to if you stick with it.

I'm two episodes from the end of the show and, I have to say, I don't understand the negativity surrounding the fifth season. It's fantastic!

I'm going to get back to it. I think my current views on series one are more to do with my unrealistic expectations than the actual quality of the show. If I'd never heard of it before I'd probably be more than happy with what I've seen so far.

The scene with Wendell Pierce drunk in that woman's bathroom was brilliant.

It's a slow burner and it makes it all the more effective when things happen. My mum was the same when she first watched it and asked 'do they actually get off that couch?' For season one and she couldn't get into it; but she stuck by it and was gripped once she did. You acclimatise to the pace soon enough.

once the guns start firing in Season 1 it's great and continues to be so until the end of Season 4.

First episode of Carnivale, been meaning to check it out for years. Found decent copies of it in Exodus on Kodi.

I've finished The Wire (absolutely gutted).

It's just as good as everyone says it is - fantastic television.

4>5>1>3>2.

Yeah - I loved season 5, come at me.

Twin Peaks next.

It's all relative mate - I loved season two! Ziggy annoyed me a little but other than that it was excellent.

I found that one the most interesting for me as it was about working men getting sucked up into the drug trade making Faustian pacts as their own industry was dying around them. I also felt a lot for Ziggy with how things went for him even though he was an idiot and possibly bordering annoying to start with. Plus it has two of the best pairs of bazookas in the whole series!! :P

Got a look to the channel I bumped into Sherlock yesterday and found out they have some stuff of BBC, it can be interesting. Caught up an episode of Doctor Who (not a follower of the series but like to give a look randomly sometimes) and another of Sherlock that made even more interested in starting this series properly. Also found out they have Horrible Histories. It's a pity my schedules hardly match with the channel's when these are aired or else I'd watch it with more frequency. But Sherlock is surely under my watchlist now.

Billions.

Episode 5 at the moment and I'm really enjoying it, Paul Giamatti in particular is fantastic. Not a big fan of Damien Lewis, especially when he's putting on an American accent, but even he's less annoying than normal.

Sky made the whole series available on boxsets straight away, so I've watched the lot, it's one of the best dramas I've watched this year, really enjoyed it.

I am also 6 episodes into Billions. Quality show and really addictive viewing. Have to agree about Giamatti. The stand our character in the series for me. Would thoroughly recommend.

Im on episode 7 on Billions, it gets more gripping by the episode - great show.

Ray Donovan is superb Mowgli, some of the scenes and dialogue is almost grand theft auto like.

Just finished Gomorra too. The ending was satisfying but overall there are a couple things they could have done better in the second season. Still, the best modern Mafioso show about. 8/10 overall.
