Naaaaaah nah nah nah nah. I reckon that the whole "the original 150 ARE TEH BEZT! The new ones SUX!" stuff is one of the most silly things in gaming/whatever. It's pretty much purely driven by nostalgia. But yes, while some of the original 150 are obviously awesome, people tend to forget that some of them suck. And, likewise, while yes, some of the newer ones suck, people tend to ignore the fact that we've had some awesome stuff in recent years as well.

Every generation has its great pokemon and it's shit. Perhaps the original 150 are the best, but it's by nowhere near as large a margin as everybody tries to pretend that it is. And anybody who thinks otherwise is just letting nostalgia get in the way. For example, check these guys out:

A Pokeball with a face, and it takes up TWO FUCKING SPOTS on the 150, because it has something evolve into it:

The most interesting one of this guys evolution is Bellsprout, and that's only because he's so fucking pathetic looking that it's funny. The other two are just shit. I mean:

Ok, so let's not all go around saying that Gen 1 was as fucking holy as we all pretend it is. Yes, it has Charizard, and Mewtwo, and Arcanine, and Snorlax, and a whole bunch of badassery going on. But look at that shit above. And that's without even getting into Kakuna, Metapod, and countless other fuckwombles that call themselves Pokemon.

I've been hearing nothing but good things about this for ages. Put off watching all that time because 1. I aint much of a comic fan and 2. I recall the Ben Affleck film weren't particularly interesting.

I was so wrong though. I am absolutely loving it so far (5 eps in).

Rubbish. The Original 151 are clearly the best overall.

Having said that, look at the fuckers from the new Sun/Moon games

I'm not actually sure if I'm that much of a fan of the Sun/Moon generation so far. I do love that fire starter and the owl is pretty cool (HAHAHAHA LOOK AT POPPLIO) and the rest are... solid enough I guess. I think that Mimikchu thing or whatever it's called is actually a pretty cool concept. But a lot of them are just... meh. And that fucking beat thing. Jesus.

Sounds funny me saying that after the last few posts, but generally speaking I don't think it's a case of them clearly being the best still. They may well still be the best, but it's not as cut and dry as people make out.
To further support my argument, after going through the X/Y gen, here are some more awesome pokemon, from the Black/White generation:

Stranger Things
New show on Netflix, so far it's pretty interesting. Looking forward to getting into it more.

Ive just finished season 4 of American Horror Story, and 5 aint on Netflix yet...poo...so figured Id look for something short to keep me going until I find season 5 somewhere online. Watched first 2 episodes of this last night and love it. X Files meets the Goonies. It's all love.

The thing that I have learned the most from this show is that Winona Ryder did a great job in Edward Scissorhands in playing her older self. Her voice in this is identical to her old-Kim from ES.
