Self employed decorator. Thinking of doing a Plumbing course because Painting isn't shifty enough.

Nothing, and I thoroughly enjoy every single day of not having to do anything I choose not to, I enjoy popping down the pub for a lunchtime pint or two most days and being able to watch all kinds of sport via the miracle of the internet at a time which suits me, I'm also very much looking forward to being back in England in a few weeks time - life's good.

I'm a student studying how to be a copper

Debating whether to (try, got turned down by Asda 8 months ago) get a job alongside with it for my final year. My argument against it is that the third year will be the hardest. In truth i'd love a job but I just hate the feeling of getting turned down for jobs. Never had one cause of this.

I work in IT support largely doing digital stuff for a books wholesaler and also on a management trainee thing so doing a lot of stuff related to monitoring service performance, service improvement and the like whilst also studying for some qualifications some paid for by the company, some not.

Much better than my previous gig working in a letting agent which made me develop a lasting hatred of letting agents, landlords and tenants alike.

If I could advise you of one thing it would be DO NOT WORK FOR ASDA. Otherwise, good luck.

Back into support work but working 9-5 Monday-Friday which is pretty unheard of in this sector so loving it. A bumpy year until last month though where I almost considered moving away from it completely.

Same here. The idea of shift work doesn't appeal at all, even with an additional bonus to do it. Been there, got the t-shirt. I'd sooner make double time on the odd weekend at my discretion.

The job I had for five years was okay as I only worked every other Saturday for a few hours and my rota was fixed.

However the job I had for six weeks working shifts was complete crap especially when they'd only get the monthly rota out a week or so before it started. You can't actually plan anything.

I do a very tedious admin job for a train company and I'm keen to do something else in the near future. I also do a few hours a week as a maths tutor, which is much more interesting and enjoyable.

I've just left the RAF to become a recruitment consultant. I start in 3 weeks.

Seems there's opportunity to earn good money and the thought of having my freedom back is the most wonderful feeling.

What, never had a job? I'm on my 36th lifetime job. Still not sure what to do with my life.

You don't have a job because you don't like getting turned down for jobs :ffs:

Working hours are horrid I heard. Very stressful and tiring. I like consultants. It's the HR dicks who don't give me the wage I want who are the problem.

I'm a credit analyst working in the car industry.

Aye I've heard they're long. But I've done 3 months worth of 12hrs on 12hrs off twice, so these should be a walk in the park!

Think the idea of earning more money by doing these extra hours helps too.
