Not sure 3 wins in 18 sees us safe, got to pick up 3/4 more wins for me.

You will do, plus I can't see the bottom 3 reaching more than around 42 points tops.

I think Brentford had worse at the start of the season.
We definitely had similar ones both of the last two seasons, can sympathise with Wednesday as it’s so difficult to pick up results with so many out.

9 clear now, should be fine especially with a few coming back to fitness. Great performance tonight, Adam Reach is turning into a Premier League quality player, can't believe our mongs tried ruining him. Credit to Luhukay as well, under the circumstances he's done a very good job.

That sees Wednesday safe anyway although they were never really likely to get dragged in.

Kin ell you changed your tune quick.
Still more work to be done before we can consider ourselves safe, should do it reasonably comfortably but not counting any chickens yet.

More hope that you were gonna get fully dragged into it than genuinely thinking it would happen, good result that tonight and you will pick a couple more up before the end of the season, my guess is you will just get to about the 55 point mark. The teams at the bottom are truly awful, although you've been the worst of the lot for 15 games or so you do have valid excuses.

Please just relegate us now and get this shit season over and done with.

Throw Stam out the door with the other overpaid prima donnas and get Murty in to orchestrate a double over Oxford next season.

Huge seven days coming up for us. Burton (H), Birmingham (A) and Hull (A) will go a long way towards determining our fate. All games we need to be winning if we want to give ourselves a chance.

Bottom three mid way through February, not good. I can’t see Bolton and Birmingham falling back into the mix. Any three from Hull downwards to drop. I do hope it’s not Barnsley

We need to beat millwall on Saturday or tonight is for nothing.
We have a glimmer of light now, please don’t fuck it up lads.

Why is Millwall a must win and anything less renders tonight's result useless? There's a third of the season left so I'm genuinely intrigued at that rationale.

Also tonights result came against a team that you're gonna be directly up against in the relegation battle. I would have been delighted with 3 points tonight.

Only like you lot overeaccting as you do, think jjh said earlier if you don't get a draw at least against Fulham it's season over.

To get any momentum, we need back to back wins. Another defeat and once again we are looking at everyone else’s results. The win last night was excellent, but if we lose or draw on Saturday, we go back to square one - which is staying in the bottom 3.

And I am over the moon. But it means little if we can’t back it up at home. When all is said and done we have the worst goal difference, and are still bottom 3, so we need to get a run going before we play the top teams again. Millwall is a winnable game - and one we surely must target.

In reality our season was probably over on February 1st but it's the hope that kills you.

The Blades could do you a favour v Hull on Friday. Strange but looking at BBC stats for Boro v Hull last night has Hull with 67% possession. Chasing the game I suppose, or stats could be wrong ?

Sunderland?

with players like O'Shea, McGeady, Cattermole.. with coach like Coleman.. with the glorious history that this club has

can it really retreat a team like this?

Yes, I agree. Sunderland should be given a "Get Out of Jail Free" card and be allowed to stay up because they are a big club.
Next season, they should be given a 30 point head start, with a further 15 points available to them "for playing in red and white' if they are still bottom at Christmas. I'd like to see more being done to help big clubs in distress. And even West Brom.

You get my vote too if you get a bonus 15 points for playing in red and white.

Saying that, if Roland still owns us he would probably change the kit to green for the season.

:brill:

I meant to say that it is strange that a club with these players next year could play in league one.

Do you think will they save themselves?
