all joking aside it was an ok show, not fantastic but it did enough and was a lot better than that utterly awful Raw I went to last year.

Still seems to lack something in the product but can never put my finger on exactly what. Only match I sort've didn't bother with was Cena once it broke into the usual routine stuff

oh and your new yon champion................don't think he'll last 6 months before midcard, afraid they have given him that usual god awful cheating heel crap WWe always do and fail with.

Anyone for Raw or Smackdown?

I couldnt afford the £100 a good Raw seat would be but I've been to Raw before so going to Smackdown, £47 pretty good seat, probably be better matches anyway and as long as I see Bryan, Ziggler and Rollins.

Looking forward to seeing him, it was only last year he was amateur wrestling in Ireland, come a long way in a short space of time.

I think Finn and a few others will take exception to that mate.

He was in no way "amateur" wrestling last year!

I'd say most of the promotions he's been with since 2006 make the WWE look "amateur" in terms of wrestling.

Fans were brutal with Big Show, please retire and you fat bastard were wonderful.

Looks like the Kane face turn I suggested last week is going ahead soon.

Didn't see a Fandango face turn coming though!

Speaking of turns, hope to god I'm wrong but there not building up another Michael Cole heel run are they? The way he wouldn't answer about Brock, he took piss out of JBL and booker a couple of times and to me JBL didn't seem heelish at all when he usually is.

Oh and Neville is fucking brilliant.

Oh x2, Preston is not one fucking hour away or down the road from London Cole/JBL! Nor is Newcastle 3 hours!

Few fans have managed to get in the ring during what I assume is the main event at Smackdown tapings :eye:

Look on Twitter #smackdownlondon and you'll see the videos. Won't link incase of spoilers for anyone who doesn't want to know matches/results.

Tits who have done that though.

I got around to watching Raw last night, that Neville vs Ziggler match was great.

Neville. The man who's first name WWE forgot.

Watched the King of the Ring finals this morning when I woke up. It's a shame that they made absolutely 0% effort in building up and promoting the King of the Ring because it would have probably got a damn lot more viewers than that crap Jerry Springer show after Raw. In the end I kind of expected what happened would happen, but they should have given it 2 weeks build and had more qualifying matches. Instead of just quarter finals, they should have gone old school and spent raw & smackdown promoting round of 16 matches as well.

While I agree it was horribly promoted (should be it's on PPV still in my view, not just a throwaway network exclusive...) I actually thought that it was well booked...

In the sense that both Neville and BNB come out of the whole thing looking great now. Neville, as a newcomer, getting to the final makes him look brilliant. And obviously, winning KotR is a nice big career boost for anybody, and I reckon that Barrett will absolutely own that whole king gimmick.

why did they get rid of KOTR, I used to think it was a nice break from the norm, especially when you have 12 PPV's and just want something different from the same group of storyline matches.

guess it just got crap PPV buys in the past.

the KOTR tournament was getting less and less integral to the KOTR PPV event, with more non tournament matches happening, so ultimately they thought why not scrap it

it hasnt really helped the winners in recent years. the last wrestler who really ran with it was Booker T

although to be fair, since 2002 it hasn't really had the build it should have had i.e a PPV build. It's been thrown together on a Raw in an obvious attempt to build someone as a King character (King Sheamus, King Booker etc). The winners before Lesnar did mostly have decent careers in the WWE, the only one who didn't being probably Mabel. But HHH, Austin, Edge, Lesnar, Angle, Bret & Owen Hart. That's some line up.

the one thing they need to do with ********* (the winner of the tournament) is to keep him away from an actual gimmick). let him just be who he is now and just refer to him as the 2015 King of the Ring in ring introductions. Just make it a huge deal without the goofy crown.

They could have maybe turned it into a NXT PPV each year, say add an incentive that the winner is allowed a World Title shot on ME at Raw somewhere down the line to add a twist.
