McGee - Portsmouth goalkeeper

Michael Jacobs - Wigan attacking midfielder

Sam Morsy - Wigan Athletic (holding midfielder for Wigan and also Egypt international. Playing below his level could definitely do it in the top half of the championship. His ability to dictate the tempo of a football match is unreal. He definitely reminds me of James McArthur before he left for Palace)
Careful, I got slated for saying how good our keeper is! lol

Bless you. You got slated for saying he was the best in the division after watching him for 90 minutes and seeing 1 of the other 23 keepers. Drop me a message if you're still confused and I'll try to explain it with pictures or something.

He was the difference between a 2-0 defeat and a 3-0 defeat against us, in any case.

Could you be any more patronising? Nelson made a completely innocent (if naive) comment about McGee which you've been on his back about ever since. Give him a break!

As it turns out, bar his mistake at Oxford, McGee has been a standout performer in most of our games so far, and single-handedly (along with a friendly post) saved us from what should have been a mauling on Saturday. So even though it's early days still, I'd say there's a fair chance that Nelson's gonna end up being right about him. Of course, your point (as I took it) was that it doesn't matter if he turns out to be right or not, it was too early to say, but still, it's worth mentioning.

I wasn't the one bringing it up again.

On your second point, fully agree. I have no idea how good McGee is and it doesn't mean that much to me one way or another.

If we keep hold of Nick Powell (and he stays fit) their is no better player in this division, i would go as far to to say he would be the best in the championship too. Remember this is the player Man United paid £6million for. #upthetics

He did look excellent against us. Was also surprised by Gavin Massey's quality - he scored a cracker against us last year for Orient, but other than that I thought he was average at best.

To be honest was a bit sceptical about Massey when he signed for us but he is doing fantastic. Has the makings to be a very good player. Just hope he continues his progression. I wouldnt be surprised if a bigger vlub comes in for him in Jan or end of season.

Apparently Jimmy Ryan is quite good. Kyle Vassel is hit and miss. Curtis Tilt has stepped up ok apparently. None of this information could be true, just what I heard.

McGee was top drawer for us last season. Single handedly won us points and kept us in games we had no right to be in.

I thought he was very good in his first half a season...but his form definitely dipped a bit 2nd half and he began to become a bit of an arse with his
Defensively Curtis Nelson is a very good player and one of our young players Canice Carroll may make the step up and force himself in as a regular.

Midfield has Ryan Ledson in central midfield and Marvin Johnson on the left, both fine players at L1 level. Robbie Hall is looking strong this pre-season which is very encouraging. Joe Rothwell has the potential to become very good.

As for new signings, I'm very encouraged by Jack Payne, James Henry and Mike Williamson (if he stays fit) but unknowns for us really.

We lack a quality striker unless Kane Hemmings makes the step up from last season. Obika and Thomas are reasonable (Obika based on comments and record) but no more than that so may need a new striker unless either of them have a dream season.

Edit: We have a good keeper as well in Simon Eastwood. I think squad depth on top of our forward line may be problem for us.

Blimey 10 standout players / ones to watch must equal champions?

When the rest of the team went to the dogs, it's no surprise. At some points watching some of the comical defending i'm not surprised he was losing the plot with the imbeciles in front of him. Add to that what seemed like a poisonous dressing room atmosphere from the exterior and apathetic fans in an empty ground Posh just wasn't a good place to be last season. It looks better this time around but time will tell. We haven't lost a game yet...

Without doubt, our most important player. Was brilliant again against Ipswich yesterday so have no doubt he'll have another season tormenting this division and scoring great goals.

Ahmed Kashi - The bloke is too good for League One really but spent the whole of last season out injured. He's back and been immense in pre-season so it's like a new signing and in a position where we were seriously weak last season, expect him to have a good season as long as he stays injury free.

Tarique Fosu - Young bloke signed from Reading. I'll admit I wasn't overly excited when he signed but he appears to have done very well in pre-season. Quick and skillfull. Think he's going to be a real nuisance and give defenders plenty of headaches. Looking forward to seeing how he gets on.

What a shout this was.

As we are a few games in I would say our top 3 to watch out for are: Brett Pitman. Just doesn't miss. His shot to goal ratio is crazy. Matt Clarke: He was one I thought at the beginning of the season once he got fit he'd do well. He's had alot of partners including 2 right backs and a striker so far, and considering he's only 21, helped them through the game well. Scored a great goal v crawley in the checktrade having run the whole length of the pitch. I'd be very surpised if he doesn't go for over a million in January to championship. The only one, is Matty Kennedy on loan from Cardiff. He's still finding his feet with us, but he's a talent. Extremely quick, good skillful player and can cross with both feet. We had the option to make it permanant in Jan, which I hope we can.
