Not really sure what you expect. You're in financial difficulty. Every team was always going to look to take advantage by trying to get a character on the cheap. At the same time, it's helpful to you because it gives you some cash and takes an amount off that 400k plus wage bill. Very surprised you didn't bite the bullet on 1-2 of your better characters. You really don't need as many good characters as you currently have with the position that you are in.

All of the 3 you made offers for originally still had active powers, had been boosted from base BR, the one that hadn't you reasoned 'Because you got him for free'

Why does that have any bearing on what we think someone is worth?

They don't have a 400k plus wage bill with just over 700k in the bank.

When a company gets into trouble, it has to sell off it's assets to stay afloat, often at a cheaper price because they don't have any negotiating power with their position. You're not going to get a premium price for anybody. Or alternatively, maybe you're going to just go the crash and burn route?
