5 mins in and Kevin Wilkins players are already throwing themselves all over the place. His sides never change. A massive 11 fans have made the trip.

1-1 at half time.

Good game, very even, but Gainsborough have got in more chances. Curzon again sometimes take so long to play way into box they struggle for a chance.

Either could win it, be which side makes right sub may take this one

Curzon 1-2 Gainsborough

Been opposite to first half, very even but us now with the chances. Gains got the vital lead with a good finish outside box when we never cleared.

We had two superb chances to score, but one hit post and other a double save......not our day

The two games vs Stalybridge will be massive for us over Christmas, am worried now as we simply cannot win at home

Alfreton 2-2 Chorley (Edmundson 87,90) (Walker pen 32, O'Keefe 41)

Well it was certainly an unlikely hero but my god am I delighted with that! Chorley`s 11 men plus the ref and two linesman (Expected them all to come out with a Chorley shirt on second half!) anti football tactics got exactly what they deserved!

The ref was an absolute disgrace to his profession. The bloke from the PA sat next to me as a neutral said he was abysmal. He gave us fuck all and allowed Chorley play acting, time wasting and general complaining at ever single decision go unpunished. Much like Gateshead, Chorley`s tactics where to kick 2 chunks out of Paul Clayton and I must say I reallly feel for him tonight. It was never a straight red. Yes he lent with his arms but there was no malice whatsoever. Yellow at worst and get on with the game but no Mr Hull listened to the desperate protests from the chorley management and proceeded to send him off! No he is going to miss out on the FA Cup game. Yet Chorley lent with their arm which went unpunished time and time again.

The penalty decision while it was tough on Kennedy I can see while it was given. Kennedy is pretty awful and clumsy and to give the ref a little bit of credit he didnt rush and gave himself time to think about it. He took so long to restart the game too after the sending off I thought we would never get back under away. The whole incident took 6 minutes!

Cannot heap enough praise on the players for the second half performance. Nobody would have judged if at 2-0 down and a man down with a massive FA Cup coming up they would have taken their foot off the gas but no they never stopped and Chorley barely threatened second half. Sub Azam was played in by Walker before doing the hardwork by runding Spiess before firing over with the goal gaping.

And boy did Chorley pay as first Edmundson bundled in after a goalmouth scramble before 2 minutes in to added time a fantastic cross from Westcarr was powered in By Edmundson with a bullet header!

Sorry after waffling a bit there. Like Chorley as a club but they let themselves down today was very dissapointed with them. Good support from the travelling fans though I doubt they had a pleasant journey home.

1,141 Darlington at Harrogate today in a crowd of 2,172. Certainly didn't look to be more than 1,000 Harrogate fans there.

I do think possibly the numbers were scaled down as our stand and standing area which we had been segregated in was running over-capacity.

Nevermind, a fine team performance today.

Great win at Stockport yesterday, and another without our star man Elton.

It really could have gone either way yesterday with both sides missing chances, however I felt Stockports front-line never really threatened all afternoon, even in the latter stages of the game. I felt quite assured we would see it out.

Some of our build-up play was gorgeous yesterday and we had them huffing and puffing towards the end, we also showed our other 'nasty' side when we went 1-0 up. Eustace has got us playing some great stuff, and we have pace in our play to really kill off teams. Croasdale has been a glorious find too, much better footballer than the departed Fane and he kept things ticking along.
Only criticism was Mani D, he can hold the ball up well but he will never be a goalscorer. When playing 1 up top, thats a worry.

Really enjoying this season so far, but please only one season down here.

4-1 at Harrogate - our stall is now set.

I now believe we are genuine title contenders and the quality in our midfield is now ridiculous with the recent additions of Dave Syers and Josh Falkingham to the likes of Gillies, Turnbull, Portas, Thompson etc.

Darlo were a joy to watch. Great on the break, good intent and pace. Best attacking side I have seen so far this season.
Was good to also see a proper sold out away with decent fans....not the 5 drunk chavs were turned away so we must have sold out the away end laughter.

A proper clubs away following.

Town at present are laughable. Yes we have two or three starters out but Weaver is doing what he does best, compound his inability to man manage the more experienced pros with frankly wacky tactics. No amount of his daddy's money will make him into a manager.
Chuck in a total cretin as md of the club and it all makes for a pretty sombre outlook.

By all accounts, yesterday's match was lost after 10 minutes. Jim Harvey appears to have turned a terrible squad into an even worse one. I'm not getting this non-league messiah thing at all.

Thought Kiddy looked very good yesterday. In terms of controlling play and keeping possession I don't think I've seen a better side this season. They're finishing, however, was pretty woeful. Their number 5 and number 11 were the standouts for me. As for us, we looked pretty much like I'd expect us to look without Danny Lloyd's creativity and ruthless finishing - efficient and reasonably solid without ever really looking like scoring. All in all it was a classic away win - nab a goal and exercise some 'dark arts' to run down the clock and see the game out (not a criticism as I'd hope we'd do the same in that scenario). It was one of those games that could've finished either 1-1 or 2-0 to Kiddy and I don't think either side could've complained.

I dare say the rent a squaddie crowd they bussed in for our game decided they'd rather paint a flag pole than watch Harrogate again. :bdick:

I don't blame them at present.

Similar to fc Halifax 2008's non reappearing Wembley day trippers.
