We've signed Wayne Thomas following the expiry of his contract at Worcester. Bet they won't be happy with that as we've already pinched their assistant manager. Dan Nti next please!

Last time we played you we drew 0-0
Must admit I was thinking of the home game when we won 3-0 and I dont think you had a single meaningful shot on target whole game.
I was at the away game when we drew 0-0, should really have won that but missed a lot of chances. You had improved a bit by then I suppose.

Manager and 3 players signed from Conference North Champions 2016 because they want to win it again, only with a REAL club. Conference North Champions 2017. :ds:

I'm afraid your memory escapes you a little. In the first 20 mins we had about 8 attempts at goal with perhaps 3 or 4 on target.

Then you guys took the lead, we just wilted and you eased to a 3-0 home win.

Lol! i don't think your highlights reel is the best port of call my friend. May be slightly bias! :fl:
Alty TV prides itself on being very fair and impartial my friend.
The pity is that I cant see us dominating games like that this coming season:conf:

To be fair, Alty gave an admirably balanced radio commentary on our glorious victory there last season. Must be hard to be impartial watching your team getting twatted like that. :bdick:

So far under Billy Heath, Town have signed three former Furby players in King, Denton and Wilde, with Palmer and Brooksby also strongly rumoured to join.

The more of that side we get the more excited I am about how the season will go tbh. They sound like the main ingredients of Heath's success with Furby, and have just as good a chance of repeating their 'North glory, showing good faith in their manager if not their old club. Acquiring that lot and keeping and some of our better part-time players will give us most of a very competitive side next season, and it makes me wonder which wildcards we may sign on top of that.

Still, it makes me sympathise with Furby more and more. They've drafted in a manager who to me is bang average Conference North, they've lost the core of the squad what brought them success, and they'll be left to fend for themselves with 400 home crowds against the likes of Tranmere Rovers. Every result for Welling was a success in that league with their £100–150/week players, and it'll be no less for NFU. They're no doubt the smallest side ever to reach the Conference including Trowbridge, Hayes and Eastleigh, and even if they stay up they're very likely to be demoted due to ground issues. Their downfall feels like a sad inevitability at the moment.

Brooksby joined Harrogate a few weeks back.

We've approached Northwich Vics about Josh Amis who scored 18 goals last season after Denton turned us down for Halifax.

He was absolute garbage when he played for us. No chance he's cut out for this level.

I can't admit to knowing a huge amount about Josh Amis but speaking to a friend of mine who knows a lot more than I do, he's a hard working forward, quite a big stocky lad with an eye for goal. So that sounds promising at least......

You've do a bit of misquoting in your post there Stan

I'm guessing this means that Odejayi won't be staying and the search for a first choice striker continues.

If that's meant to suggest you were the better team you'd better get your brain tested. You were as shite as we were. :bdick:

Latest addition at Chorley is Stephen Jordan from Fleetwood, looks a good signing.

Should do well at this level given his experience. He's getting on a bit, but if he has kept himself fit it shouldn't matter.

We had Gareth Roberts at LB last season and despite being 37 was clearly one of the fittest players on the pitch!

He is said to be 34, and played regularly in League 1 last season, it is suggested he has turned down offers from higher levels to join us. Hope he does well, certainly has the experience.

Ashton United have signed Ryan Crowther from Altrincham. Great signing for NPL that.
Are Ashton Utd bank-rolled. They have the smallest crowds in the Evo Stik Prem and do very well most years.

We've secured Scott Garner from Boston United, 6'2 CB. England C experience, Conference experience, captain experience. Sounds a very promising signing.
