Luckily I imagine you've still got Guiseley and Barrow programmed into your satnav. (I know you take the train to games by the way)
I know we're shit but to get relegated 2 divisions straight to the Conference North would be a bit harsh on us I think.

To be honest, I'm bloody jealous, I won't deny it. Whilst you've got the feelgood factor there at Sincil Bank the cloud over BP at the minute is massive and Russell Slade has beaten all the enjoyment of going to games out of me, although I've only missed 2 at home when I was away over Christmas.

As you say, for away games I usually go on the train and more than often it's a day on the pi$$ spoilt by 90 minutes of football, but I'm even disillusioned about away days now too. I usually do at least a dozen aways a season but so far, this season, I've done 1 and can't see any more coming up in the near future.

Enjoy your current success, I'm sure you realise it won't last forever.

Imagine If everyone thought the same way Lincoln do?

If they did this competition would have been a stunning success and b teams would be being fasttracked into the EFL for next season as we speak.

So no they haven't saved the soul of english football, they've simply taken advantage of everyone else trying to.

Don't you worry yourself about what may, or may not happen in league 2 next season. Enjoy your hummus, and your trips back to Aldershot and Solihull.

Pretty sure we all know the ride will end at some time. Especially those of us that have been going a lot longer than 1 season!

Spectacularly missing the point.

And we wont be off to Shots or Solihull next year, but we will be playing you, unfortunately. We aint going down, and you aint going up.

Forest green appear to have recruited well and should start to move away from the drop zone. There's a very good chance you'll be playing each other next season.

Who would have thought back lifting the Vase at Wembley all those years ago we'd have the honour of sharing the field with actual Checkatrade finalists?

We even played in the Football League Trophy (LDV Vans at the time I think) long before "moneybags" arrived. Lost 2-0 at Brighton at the glorious Withdean Stadium.

Back on topic, will there be another vote anytime soon on this competition, or are we stuck with it for another year(s)?

Heard we'll be voting against b teams if given the chance.

I see that Shaun Harvey is already spinning it as a “great advert for the competition”...

Of course he is.

Did anyone expect anything else?

No-one can competitive with their massiveness. few can compete with the 6000. or so fans they've gathered in the last year that make up their 8000 strong crowd now. All we have is just to be better than them, which thankfully we still achieve.

I'm just flattered we won the thing in 1987 when it meant something and wasn't reduced to the rabble it is now.

Shock fucking horror. It's alright though, attendances don't mean anything.

Idiots, absolute fucking idiots, genuiningly astounding stupidity and/or ignorance.

I assume Lincoln being such pariahs, and a danger to the future of lower league football, you will boycott the game with them on Friday. Or, at the very least plan some mass protest against them during the game. Why not ask your board to have a vote to expel them from the league? I'm sure they will listen.

How did they vote in relation to the PL sides inclusion again? I'm sure you'e boycotted all season over that betrayal.
You're completely missing the point. Not surprising though, morals would presumably go out the window for a lot of people if you got the chance to watch your team at an overpriced, flat and half-empty stadium. Enjoy, been there done that though

Edit: been there done that, four times. None of which came in this shitshower of a competition

Yep, I'm enjoying it while it lasts, much like you guys did when you were in what is now the Championship. I've been following Lincoln since the mid-90s and for the majority of that time Grimsby have been above us or at the same level but generally better. I'm enjoying the tables being turned but equally I have sympathy for Grimsby fans. I know what it feels like to be so disconnected from your club and to resent going to matches.

I'm not missing any point. I completely appreciate the haughty position that many have taken.
What everyone is missing is that, if the PL want something then they will simply throw money around until they buy off enough clubs to get it. Just as they will get the winter break when they want it, and they will still play money making games in the sun during that period.
For the record, I don't want these teams in the competition either, but not going won't change it one iota! If you think not going to a game will change the ills in football then I wish you every bit of luck, you will need it, or more money than Abramovic and his pals.

I don't not attend because I think that will change anything, I don't attend as I have no interest in watching a senior team play a development team in a so called competitive match. If such matches were introduced into the league system then I would lose all my waning interest in football altogether.

Tbf Wembley is quite overrated. Shit pubs and food in the area, horrific pricing on Wembley way and generally bad acoustics in a place that should have a great atmosphere. Middle tier has comfy seats though.

Agree and wish our final had been at Villa Park or somewhere more midway. New Wembley just doesn't do it for me.

Yeah, but the one season that they played the final at another venue (the Etihad), the finalists were Wimbledon and Luton!

Any Lincoln fans who need the directions to Wembley just drop me a PM. I've got a bit fed up of going there over the last few seasons. Became a bit like a second home to us. :bg:
You do catering for big events then Les?

The Wembley concourse at half time more than made up for that though, best atmosphere I've ever been involved in at a Town game.

We like a bit of a sing song at half time in concourses too these days, pretty decent effort at Swindon a couple of weeks back, especially given how shit we're doing and the fact we never had a shot on target in that game and lost. :bdick:

Top Lads.

Might help if you all knew the words. How can you be out of time when there's only about 15 of you? :ffs:
