Well our clubs pathetic attempt to get more to the Checkatrade game to get priority Mansfield tickets worked a treat, we have only sold 900 of the 1600 allocation and they have now gone on general sale, last year it sold out before general sale. Smart move GTFC. :fing:

Bump. Can see everyone is really interested in the 2nd round of games, which most teams are playing tonight. Anyone bothered? Anyone care to say they are attending?

Don’t really care, not going. Only interest will be to see if Aspo is in attendance.

Dont care. Despite a cynical attempt to bump up attendances by fixing local derbies I really couldn't give a toss how we get on tonight.
As long as there are no injuries.

This local Derby fixing is working a treat, we have sold 32 tickets for Scunny tonight. :brill: Anything less than 100 will be a fantastic boycott effort in my opinion as we would normally sell out Scunny in any competition.

I will be gutted if the away turn out for the game this evening is more than we normally take, not difficult I hear the usual voices shout, because apparently we are playing a team nearby. I hope it is less than fifty, but I fear we will beat Grimsby's wonderful attempt at total ambivalence...great effort my fishy friends!

Total attendance at Cambridge tonight of 480, needless to say it's our lowest ever, smashing the record set in our two home games in this farce last year.

Sadly it will be ten times higher in the next one, mugs.

I'm guessing we'll still have a few pay on the gate but hopefully still sub 100 or even sub 50 would be teriffic.

Didn't even know we had a game until I read this thread, 10 changes made, at least we are taking it seriously!

Apparently winning as well.

Our much changed side is beat Newcastle’s kids with a dominant first half. As it stands we have as many Checkatrade points from two games as we have eleven league games!

684 at Colchester tonight, with 89 Gillingham fans. A few more than the 527 against Reading U21s last month.

Experiencing for the first time what it feels like to lose to an under 21 team. I'm not there nor am I listening to commentary, just looking at the score now and then, but it's a shit feeling.

I don't mind losing to proper teams in this shit show, but not youth teams for fuck sale! It's embarrassing.

Lower than every attendance in the first round of games too, our lowest home attendance even when we were a non league side in the 1940s!

I think we'll almost be out by the time we play the scum but there'll be a couple of thousand there sadly. Some people just don't get it.

Some good news for us coming out of this tonight, 19 year old Jordan Ponticelli has scored in his second ever appearance. 27 goals for our u18s last season.

976 (177 Oldham fans) at GR. Thank God were out of this truly awful competition already.

Apparently we are winning against that local team, who appear to have had one of our former players sent off for violent conduct (the same person who stood on an opposing keeper's buttock some time ago)...which sadly means we might have to keep going in this farcical competition.

We’ve won a game!!!!!!!

Good win as against Derby kids last year though it’s generally a cruise even with the eight changes we made... pointless really.

On the positive Tyrone Barnett scoring will give him a confidence boost and the win at least improves confidence with the legends to return tomorrow to try and turn us around.

Embarrasing turn out as well. 1576 with 167 from us.

We've got Notts county in it in a few weeks.

Hopefully they'll win so they can finally get w win over their "inbred" rivals.

Someone counted forty Crawley fans at Pompey tonight. We took close to 500 there last season.
All their fans moaning about how strong their team is.
No place for Dean Cox! If he can't get in the first team and now can't get in this team his time with us is over. Hopefully we get a couple of quid come January.

Oh we lost 3-1and are now out.

I'm not overly bothered about it, they may be an under 21 team but one thing I read that underlined the gulf between us, was that Leicester were without four of their players tonight as they were on international duty. Four youth team players on international duty? We should be satisfied with only conceding the one goal.y

Also it kind of shows up Shaun Harvey's argument that this is about blooding the England stars of the future for the bullshit that it is.
