Since I've just done the similar league two confirmed thread I may as well adapt my thoughts from that into a league table.

1. MK Dons
2. Swindon
3. Notts County
-----------------------------------------------
4. Lincoln
5. Bury
6. Mansfield
7. Northampton
-----------------------------------------------
8. Oldham
9. Exeter
10. Colchester
11. Tranmere
12. Macclesfield
13. Cambridge
14. Grimsby
15. Crewe
16. Port Vale
17. Stevenage
18. FGR
19. Newport
20. Cheltenham
21. Crawley
22. Carlisle
-----------------------------------------------
23. Yeovil
24. Morecambe

4 of the top 7, 3 of the bottom 7 and two correctly placed teams (Exeter and Yeovil), Despite a few really poor choices (Notts, Swindon, Macc, FGR, Newport) a lot of them are there or thereabouts so I'm calling this a decent result.

And I was spot on about Carlisle avoiding relegation, so in your face HG!

As it's far too early and I haven't had any true knowledge about this league since 2008, I'm just going off the current Sky Bet odds to win the league...
1) MK Dons
2) Lincoln
3) Mansfield
4) Northampton
5) Bury
6) Swindon
7) Oldham
8) Notts County
9) Carlisle
10) Exeter
11) Cambridge
12) Colchester
13) Cheltenham
14) Newport
15) Stevenage
16) Crewe
17) Port Vale
18) FGR
19) Grimsby
20) Macclesfield
21) Tranmere
22) Crawley
23) Morcambe
24) Yeovil
3 of the top 4, 4 of the top 7 and Yeovil to finish bottom. I’m happy enough with that.

Not many had us in the top 5! Including our own fans. Most had us around 17-21. Looking at our squad on paper I'd still not have us that far above that now tbh. Don't know how the fuck we've done it.

Btw SoC started this on the 29 May! DISGUSTINGLY late.

Here’s my effort. Subject to change.

Notts County
MK Dons
Lincoln
------------------
Mansfield
Northampton
Swindon
Exeter
-------------------
Crawley
Colchester
Bury
Oldham
Port Vale
Cambridge
Newport
Grimsby
Stevenage
Crewe
Forest Green
Tranmere
Carlisle
Cheltenham
Macclesfield
--------------------
Yeovil
Morecambe

Not quite on Indian Dan’s level, but:

Notts County look similar to us in that they were direct last season but probably
understand the limitations of it and are trying to tweak their style this season.

MK Dons seem to have kept most of their squad together and added to it ok, Mansfield’s un-doing will probably be Flitcroft rather than the players and I don’t know too much about Northampton’s summer movements but they seem to have plenty of options up front and goals win games.

We look strong, albeit still need more numbers and depth. Andrade and Akinde should add the goals we were short of last season. Not sure I’m really comfortable with putting us third, mind, but we need to be targeting automatics. PO’s minimum.

Swindon were there or thereabouts last season and on the face of it appear to have strengthened well in midfield so I can see them being in and around it again.

Exeter have kept hold of Stockley and Boateng, so that bodes well. Will be interesting to see how they get on post-Tisdale.

Crawley’s slow start probably cost them a PO place last season and I think they could mount a PO challenge, whilst I know very little about Bury or Oldham’s incomings and outgoings.

The middle of the league will be a much of a much, although Vale look the best improved, whilst Cambridge don’t appear to have done anything of note and Newport will find it tough to replace Nouble and the injured Labidie.

Stevenage fans have seemed very pleased by their transfer dealings this summer, but I’m not really seeing that myself. Lost Godden, too.

Cheltenham will find it tough having lost Eisa, Carlisle are looking like a basket case club at the minute, FGR should have enough if they keep Doige because they don’t do clean sheets whilst Macclesfield don’t have Sir John Askey who seemed to have worked minor miracles in his time there with a budget of a mars bar and the up and coming Danny Whittaker.

Tranmere haven’t done anything noticeable in the transfer window that I can recall. Average placed of a promoted FL team is 13th. Get rid of your NL players is the advice here. We shed about 50% of ours after promotion and only have 3 remaining now, which is a huge turnover in a short space of time.

Crewe will continue to be as inconsistent as they come, turning it on one in every four games and flitting between mid-table and 21st all season.

Yeovil just seem to have been heading one way for years now and whilst I’ve put the 23rd, last seasons FA Cup money might mean they can sign a couple of extra quality players and survive.

Morecambe will bore League 2 to tears again with about half their games ending in draws.
A bit 'meh' from me, although my reasoning's do make a bit of sense. Certainly correct on Andrade and Akinde for us.

HG's Carlisle ramblings obviously clouded my judgement!

Who got closest to correct last season?
If Notts manage to get the two strikers we are after AND a couple of central defenders I'm confident of a top 3. If not we will be in a worse position than this season season (or is it last season now?!?!)

We didn't really get either and we did finish worse off, much, much, worse!

Not a bad effort. Too cautious predicting us to finish 3rd though!

Most incorrectly placed teams must be Notts County followed by Tranmere/Forest Green.

Though going off your signature, I guess the Yeovil fans don't have to be too concerned about you. That said, it's an odd thing to think you've come wearing that signature onto a thread where Wrexham have been accused of being deluded about their league credentials.

Got two in the right positions [Macclesfield and Yeovil], the others varied between almost right [Lincoln, Exeter] to hopeless [Notts County champions]

Your own signature might raise an eyebrow- "no one likes us"? Really? That sounds a tad delusional to me, shouldn't that be "nobody gives a fuck about us, in fact most people never give us a thought"? Just saying. :ds:

3 of the top 7 and 7 of the top 10, not bad. Bury and FGR have completely done me over though!
