Not quite on Indian Dan’s level, but:

Notts County look similar to us in that they were direct last season but probably
understand the limitations of it and are trying to tweak their style this season.

MK Dons seem to have kept most of their squad together and added to it ok, Mansfield’s un-doing will probably be Flitcroft rather than the players and I don’t know too much about Northampton’s summer movements but they seem to have plenty of options up front and goals win games.

We look strong, albeit still need more numbers and depth. Andrade and Akinde should add the goals we were short of last season. Not sure I’m really comfortable with putting us third, mind, but we need to be targeting automatics. PO’s minimum.

Swindon were there or thereabouts last season and on the face of it appear to have strengthened well in midfield so I can see them being in and around it again.

Exeter have kept hold of Stockley and Boateng, so that bodes well. Will be interesting to see how they get on post-Tisdale.

Crawley’s slow start probably cost them a PO place last season and I think they could mount a PO challenge, whilst I know very little about Bury or Oldham’s incomings and outgoings.

The middle of the league will be a much of a much, although Vale look the best improved, whilst Cambridge don’t appear to have done anything of note and Newport will find it tough to replace Nouble and the injured Labidie.

Stevenage fans have seemed very pleased by their transfer dealings this summer, but I’m not really seeing that myself. Lost Godden, too.

Cheltenham will find it tough having lost Eisa, Carlisle are looking like a basket case club at the minute, FGR should have enough if they keep Doige because they don’t do clean sheets whilst Macclesfield don’t have Sir John Askey who seemed to have worked minor miracles in his time there with a budget of a mars bar and the up and coming Danny Whittaker.

Tranmere haven’t done anything noticeable in the transfer window that I can recall. Average placed of a promoted FL team is 13th. Get rid of your NL players is the advice here. We shed about 50% of ours after promotion and only have 3 remaining now, which is a huge turnover in a short space of time.

Crewe will continue to be as inconsistent as they come, turning it on one in every four games and flitting between mid-table and 21st all season.

Yeovil just seem to have been heading one way for years now and whilst I’ve put the 23rd, last seasons FA Cup money might mean they can sign a couple of extra quality players and survive.

Morecambe will bore League 2 to tears again with about half their games ending in draws.

The faith in the Stylish Magpies remains strong from fellow L2 posters, regardless of three comfortable to defeats to league opposition in pre season.

Lol well my random number generator worked so well last time that I thought I’d try it again, got a feeling I might lose one or two points on Swindon though. ;)

A lot will be surprised not to see any of the dynamic three (Mansfield, Notts, Lincoln) in the automatic but I feel although Lincoln are the safest bet for play-offs due to the style they play and how efficient they are it’s also a downfall when taking in to account that extra quality needed for the automatics.

I could easily replace Mansfield with Notts but I’m doing that with blind faith. I have doubts for Flitcroft and Nolan big time tactically despite both having really good squads, the best two in the division IMO, just feel like one could muck it all up.

The rest of the top seven explains its self really barring Colchester who I feel are under rated but I do admit champions is optimistic but who would have thought Accrington can manage it?

Tranmere seem to have a ok squad and I don’t rate Mellon at all, Morecombe will probably stay up via drawing but we can hope!

Must get this done. Two clubs I have no idea about this season are MK Dons and Northampton. Agard should be a beast in League 2 and they still have that curly ginger twat at left back. All I know. Northampton are a complete mystery to me at the moment.

Stevenage to be that Unfancied team that go on a run and end up being in the playoffs.

That’s a bit harsh on Nolan imo, was pretty much his tactics and ability to organise a defence that got a pretty limited side so close to promotion last season. I guess getting the best out of a much more talented group of players is a different thing, though.

I think Flitcroft is fine too, he just came into a very difficult situation with following Evans. I’m struggling to think of a reason why either of us won’t challenge this season, managers included.

I think both will challenge, hence the table?

My thought was Nolan expanding his style of play/formation which he struggled to do last season and making more out of technically better players, Lincoln might have the same problem to be honest although they seem to have a smaller turnover to contend with.

Flitcroft definitely came in to a difficult situation but he's only got himself to blame for trying to change everything, it's hard to have faith in him considering before he joined we were on course to finish in the automatics and ended up outside the play-offs.

I don’t think we’ll change our style of play as much as people think. A bit, with Vaughan leading on that, but don’t think we’re going to become a passing team particularly. It’ll be get it out wide quickly and balls into the box.

I can think of a dozen scenarios for a new manager than Flitcroft’s arrival at upwardly mobile Mansfield , a talented squad in form and playing with confidence.

Agree with Conks, tried to put his stamp on it immediately and change too much .

Not many managers join sides in such a positive and elevated position. DF just f**ked it up#handbrake

Nolan over achieved last season no doubt he’s been superb since arriving , but agree a change in style might be a struggle for him

So the season has not even started and Flitcroft has attempted to freeze a player out and has obviously fell out with him in the process. Basically he suggested Paul Anderson does not want to play for the club but he’s said on Twitter this is a load of rubbish.

He’s always been a top pro and there is no reason not to believe him, not great so close to the season starting.

This is why I lack so much faith in Flitcroft and he’s unusually large head.
