That's an impressively bad decision by the referee to book Joe Clarke there when the Telford player goes in studs up on him.

Yes, everybody in the ground was stunned that Clarke was apparently in the wrong!

Brackley starting to slip into form.

Hammered Chorley last week (despite only getting a point), and pretty comfortable against Hereford on Saturday.

I'd be looking at us, Kidderminster, maybe Alfreton as title contenders so far, but Chorley already have such a nice lead and great form, I hope we're all able to get back into it.

We still lack consistency and enough goals - but I'm not scared of anyone in the league this year.

Interesting how well the promoted sides have stated in Conf National too - maybe not much of a gap between the divisions? Certainly not much judging by Sutton, Bromley and Barrow who we played in the Trophy last year.

Good result on the road for Spennymoor away to Leamington. Scrappy game in all fairness, not the best viewing. Spennymoor scored two late goals to end Leamington's unbeaten start at home. Sign of a good team that doesn't play well but wins? Leamington now starting to slip down the table a little bit. Could still have a good season but they'll be desperate to stay clear of a relegation battle this season.

The teams that have left our league over the last couple of seasons are all in the top seven.
Which is understandable three of them are bank-rolled clubs who'll no doubt finish the campaign in filling the play-off positions or thereabouts?

You guys are a tough nut to crack and will always be their or thereabouts come the end of the season. It's a division in my eyes where everybody beats everybody if that makes any sense.

Exactly what we are lacking consistency at the moment - Hopefully that will change after raising a few eyebrows in beating an unbeaten Telford side at the weekend with ease. It's early day's but i wouldn't just yet disregard us if we can get back on track and hit a little bit of form.

I'd be very surprised if Chorley let this one slip away this season, they are performing exceptionally well........they are playing out of their skin.

Thought you knew where our season was heading after Alfreton?

We've more than matched Spennymoor, Brackley, Blyth, Alfreton and Telford so far, probably should have had three points at Ashton, were poor against Curzon and Kidderminster (though with 10 men for majority of game) and atrocious against Altrincham. Performances have not been as bad as some knee jerkers have made out, as Alan White stated in his interview. Results haven't always matched performance, but I'm confident, with better luck on the injury front, we will be nearer the top than the bottom this season.

Denton has signed for Chesterfield, that means we don't have to deal with him on Saturday, how are you feeling about this news DSL? Looking forward to Saturday's game at Victory Park.

We've go the first of our postponed games tonight against FCUM. Undefeated in 2 and looking to move upwards.

Mixed feelings.

I see the thinking in the decison to make sure the club is sustainable and debt free. However I feel it is very short sighted and will have a negative impact.

Its another example of £££ over the search for success and consisently. This will and already has turned a few away and will damage a dwlinding support base further.

At the end of the we have given the impression of being a one trick pony with Denton the focal point of our side. We would be 17th without Denton`s goals. I think we will be ok but I am not sure whether we would be able to continue our play off push.

My main problem is the timing. If we and Denton continued as we are we could perhaps have got more money/further interest in January?

Strikes me as another example as soon as someone wafts some notes towrads Wayne he takes the money.

One way to to reslove this of course and invest the money in to a new striker or two....only time will tell on that one.

An already extfremely trip to Chorley just got a whole lot harder.
Defeat at Chorley means we have exactly the same record after 10 games as last season...

Two teams completely lacking in any quality at all. Neither team would have scored if we were still playing in the morning. I think the difference was that we didn't have Smalley to come off the bench (injured) as all the players who played well on Saturday: Mooney, Mahon, Hughes and Dudley all had an off day. Still ~~~ undefeated at home which is something for a team with about 5 home wins in 18 months.

Fast zippy game played in the right way but not many chances and can't really argue with the scoreline. Thought they played some nice stuff in their own half early on but didn't do much after that. We struggled to break them down, they got tight to us and we often got crowded out when going forward. Definitely had a stonewall penalty turned down when Mahon was hacked over though, absolute garbage decision.

Bit disappointing but not the end of the world.

Can you not read into a pissed off expression, it was merely making known of my feelings after the shit result.

What makes you think we should have had three points against Ashton?
How do you know we were poor down at Kidderminster?
What gives you the impression we matched Brackley?

Performances have been hit and miss, no point in matching teams we have to beat them.

Oh f*ck yes!

We just re-signed Adam Morgan

Was best striker in league by a mile when with us, just hope he hasn’t been ruined by his decision to jump ship early.

4 decent attack options now

That could be a great signing for you. Remember we wanted him when he went to Halifax. Do you reckon you can make a push for one of the playoff spots now?

That was his error not joining your lot. He was in hot form playing our style and yours was similar but with better players then around him, instead he opted for Heath’s totally different style at Halifax.

We won’t be in top 7, still have to be realistic that we have one of the, if not the smallest budget and players in form can leave us at a whim, plus the back-up options are non existent for injuries.

But I’ll give Flanagan his credit, he had a side 2 years ago that may have had a go for top 5 but lost many key players to other clubs, it has taken a year and a half of trail and error but now may have filled the losses we had.

Very solid back line, dependable and hard working midfield and now 4 decent attack options.

I still find it staggering no one had took our manager yet when he can build a solid, hard working passing side on zero budget with some quality within it.

Unless he gets approached and isnt interested

brave and correct decision by the board, poor recruitment from beadle in the summer, worse squad than last season, poor tactics with players in wrong positions and an unwillingless to change from a 433 formation that quite clearly was never going to work with the current team.brackley was a bloody shambles and to be given a hammering against local midland league side westfields while playing a strong side in the county cup was probably the final straw. As for the future confirmed that gareth davies and ryan green will be in temp charge for now until a permanent replacement is made.

How has Harry White done? Never thought he was gonna be a replacement for Mills.

Impossible for anyone to replace Mills, so to try and compare them is unfair.
I think we have missed Haysham more than Mills, though, for his creative spark. Been dull as heck watching us this season. Whether either of them could have stepped up a 4th level from signing for us? Unknown.

For goodness sake i think were only 8 or 9 games in of the current season. His track record at Hereford is exceptionally good it really has to actually be seen to be believed. I would have thought he earned a stay of execution.

Thought Beadle would have had a bit more credit in the bank?

Was always going to be more difficult when you get to the NLN/NL levels.
