Disgraceful decision from Hereford. Shameful. The board need to take a long hard look at themselves and realise they are not in a glue league now. This is a bloody competitive league.

I suppose this is a bit like Jay Saunders. Both managers have multiple promotions, but at least Maidstone gave Jay over 2 seasons before they parted company with him. Hereford, unless there is a non-footballing reason, deserve condemnation for pulling the trigger so early.

Good result on the road for Spennymoor away to Leamington. Scrappy game in all fairness, not the best viewing. Spennymoor scored two late goals to end Leamington's unbeaten start at home. Sign of a good team that doesn't play well but wins? Leamington now starting to slip down the table a little bit. Could still have a good season but they'll be desperate to stay clear of a relegation battle this season.

I just love those after match interviews with Mr O'Halloran

Tough game for us tomorrow away to AFC Telford. We've been pretty dire this season with wins only coming against FCUM, 10 man Southport (who should have won!) and 10 man Leamington.

Central defence has been very dodgy so far this season and we don't look amazing going forward either.

Not optimistic about this one.

Can't believe Stockport are still in this division. Thought you would be back in the 4th division by now. Anyway hope you & Bradford do it this season. Still remember you taking us to a replay & beating us in the return leg.

Away at Southport tomorrow. Hopefully we'll be able to prove our impressive result and performance against Telford wasn't a flash in the pan, with more players back from injury we should be near back at full strength after a few weeks of being a bit patch work.

I hope Tommy Wright fights the inclination to go back to 2 up front with Styche back from international duty and Ainge back from injury. We hold our shape much better in a 4-2-3-1 and Styche, Syers, Thompson and Nicholson gives us more than enough strike power to win matches in this league.

If we keep the formation from last weekend think we can win it and hopefully start moving in the right direction up the league.

Away at Chorley tomorrow as we complete our very tough opening 10 games.
Chorley are on fire. We are a better side away and have won our last 3 on the road at York,Stockport and Darlington, however I would be delighted with a point.

Well DSL we will see what tomorrow brings, have to say feeling confident we can carry on the brilliant start to the season though a point would not be a disaster for us either. Just hope it is a good game. We have just signed Kieran Glynn on loan from Salford but I can't see him getting a start tomorrow.

So, Chorley make our game at their place in a fortnight all ticket and advise our fans to contact our own club - fair enough.

Meanwhile, Chorley fail to inform Chester the game is all ticket... :ffs:

brave and correct decision by the board, poor recruitment from beadle in the summer, worse squad than last season, poor tactics with players in wrong positions and an unwillingless to change from a 433 formation that quite clearly was never going to work with the current team.brackley was a bloody shambles and to be given a hammering against local midland league side westfields while playing a strong side in the county cup was probably the final straw. As for the future confirmed that gareth davies and ryan green will be in temp charge for now until a permanent replacement is made.
Whilst clearly you're going to know a heck of a lot more about it than me, I can't help thinking that the manager has to have a fair bit of ability given what he achieved - and maybe deserved longer for the club to adapt. This league has got massively tougher i.m.o. in the 6 years we've been in it - it's a tough place to do well in, and it's not like you made a bad start overall. It was always going to be tough at Brackley - we came 3rd in the league, playoff finalist and FA Trophy winners, who'd outplayed a clearly very decent Chorley team the week before. With all due respect, if we were on form, I'd expect us to make a few teams look ordinary this year - it's those mid to lower table games you'd need to focus on. Hereford fans seemed a bit on the managers back at the game on Saturday too....

Oh well it's look like the Southport club shop tomorrow for me, cashless turnstiles apparently.

I don't know why but i have a good feeling about tomorrow's game down at Southport.
I feel fairly confident we can come away with something? Hopefully a win which will set us up nicely for the visit of BPA next Saturday.

Any salford or FCUM fans have anything to say about Glynn? Seems to be an attacking midfielder, so maybe Alex newbys injury is worse than expected as o can't see him ousting him, Elliot or O'Keefe

When we played at FCUM last season he stuck out like a sore thumb. Impressed me.

Injuries, injuries, injuries!

We only got Wheatley back from suspension last week and what a difference he made - now he's injured! Fellow midfielder Syers is also injured, pulling out of the warm up, so 17 year old Mitchell Glover takes his place.

Ainge is still out injured as well but Galbraith returns to the bench and Styche returns to the team. Galbraith returning means we've got a senior player on the bench for the first time in weeks.

Another good performance against a tough alfreton team, blakeman moves on to 6 for the season after 2 cracking penalties today. Josh Wilson was quality in midfield/ up top and the defense was solid as ever. Their goal was a thunderbolt, worth a watch when the highlights are out.

Another good 3 points today, not at our best in my opinion, Alfreton had a good 20 minute spell at end of first half, thought they were poor second half particularly after we went 3-1 up, totally lost shape and heads went down, though the keeper gave away two penalties and fumbled the header that led to the first goal he did make 3 excellent saves to keep the score down. The run continues, quite impressed with Kieron Glynn who replaced Louis Almond at half time, looks a good player.

Someone has just posted Boston's forum on Deva Chat. It's a mixture of they were shite considering they were playing a shite team, but I'll take a 2-0 win at one of the league's leading team all day.

Chorley 3-1 Alfreton.

Hmmm strange ultimately disappointing afternoon.

Sam Ramsbottom is such a frustrating keeper. Brillant shot stopper as he demostated but he is very indecisive and panics when coming out of his goal.

Biggest disappointment for me is all 3 goals where very avoidable and Chorley have not really had to work for their goals.

Expected a defeat and I would have snapped your hand off to be in the play-offs at 10 matches.

Bobby Johnson`s superb strike was from another planet. The best goal I have ever seen live.

Incredible strike from Bobby as he shows exemplary technique as he takes the ball down on his chest before volleying in to the top corner from 25 yards in spectacular style.

Words cannot describe how good it was.

Today was the most clueless performance I have seen from us since we reformed as a club. Absolute garbage. Zero quality on the ball, combined with zero effort.
If you have gambling intentions, put a few on us getting relegated. Never thought I would have said this at the start of the season; We are in deep shit.

The Kim-like dictatorship running the club are out of their depth. Whatever seemed like a fan ownership model has been replaced by a bunch of bullying, self-important, clueless dinosaurs.

First half was one of the worst I've seen, dreadful from both sides. We did pretty well after the break though, created a few good chances and put the game to bed.

Never in any danger once ahead, Shenton was barely worked despite limping through the game after being clattered in the first half.

Well, I'll take these 0-0 results all season long after the battering we got today down at Haig Avenue against a good Southport side. It was like siege of the alamo or should i say Maddison's last stand! What a performance from Jonny Maddison between the sticks he'll have no doubt silenced a few of his critics with this display.

We got of to a wonderful start finding out entering the ground no Wheatley! And announced at first that Syers was playing and then another change to Glover just before kick-off.

The back line was outstanding today with another polished performance from Liam Hughes, a never say die attitude from the Darlo players in defense, other than Styche's effort in the first half and Glover's half chance we possibly and maybe should have been a couple of goals down at half-time.

I lost count how many times the ball was cleared of the line, and the amount of defenders that blocked a goal bound shot with some great defending and like i say Maddison was exceptional in goal.

Apart from the penalty shout in the second half which looked a bit suspicious that maybe on another day we'd have been granted that? I don't think the referee brought any cards with him he seemed very relaxed and easy-going. I think overall if i was a Southport fan I'd be a bit gutted with this result they should have beaten us out of sight.

Man of the match for me was Maddison with his penalty save closely followed by Hughes also Glover did very well with his contribution after the late announcement of him playing.

It was good to see Jordan Richards again (thank god his free kick didn't go in) I liked him in our pre-season friendlies.

Well done to all the loyal Darlo fan's that made the trip, not sure how many their was of us like? It was a tough game but then again it's about time we had a bit of good fortune with a good point considering we lost Wheatley and Syers hopefully they are back next week.
