I'm looking forward to tomorrow's trip to Curzon Big-Dave should be a decent match - I can't see us coming away with anything like if anything to go by of last season's performance? Martin Gray left us for York City after that 1:0 defeat.

Then again we aren't playing too badly at the moment, we shouldn't have lost against Spenny. I think a draw was a fair result on that day.

At least we'll have Romal Palmer back after extending his loan from Barnsley. Other than that no new faces over the past week or so.

Was there much money to begin with? Don't know much about them but I don't remember them being spoke of amongst the hobby-club lot

Anywho. County travel up the road to FC this weekend, could be a real bananaskin for us (I feel like that every week, but hey it's going to be true sooner or later). They've always been a bunch of cloggers before so I presume it'll be much of the same again, just be happy if everyone comes out of the game unhurt.

Away at Kidderminster this afternoon. In "normal circumstances" I would fancy us. Just 2 wins in their last 8 home games,no Dan Bradley and a young loan keeper in goal due to injuries it seems.
However this are far from normal times. I have no faith at all in our broken group of individuals. . 5 without a win soon to become six I fear.

Interesting statement from Blyth Spartans about their future.
A desperate plea before financial trouble?

Dan Bradley isn't a loss. Never lived up to expectations. Nick Clayton-Phillips in one game has shown more desire.

And its our yearly goalkeeper injury time. We've had 1 each season we've been down here where we've had to bring in a goalkeeper on loan. Hopefully Weaver performs better than the last 2.

Hopefully we take some inspiration after beating Telford last week in hard circumstances but I wouldn't be surprised to see us rollover again.

He's gone back to Fylde last week. Had a 10 game spell where he looked amazing last season but bar that he's done nothing but score a hat trick against Atherstone in the cup

Nuneaton look finished today unless something changes.

massive 20 mins at FCUM, with Alfreton, Hereford and Ashton all winning at bottom and Chorley winning at top..................a goal is an absolute must for both FCUM and Stockport

Didn't get to go, sounds like it wasn't a great performance from County but what a fairytale ending for Jamie Stott's loan spell, last minute winner in a local derby

BPA's poor run continues, looks like the stuffing's been knocked out of them

Guiseley 4-5 Boston sounds like a corker!

He's been unbelievable in the two games he's played since returning. Makes excellent runs. Works his bollox off and loads of ability. Improved us ten fold

Your not wrong defence is appalling and gifted you game.you will stay at top very strong team.number 6 and 10 outstanding and best in league.
Penalty was for climbing on back of striker, you are very physical especially defence, could see some refs getting fed up and sending players off which could you cost you points.

Couldn't go today. Gutted.

Hopefully that plays some part in sending FC United back down the leagues and their fans back to their Sky packages and Cantona posters.

What did they say?

http://www.blythspartans.com/club-statement-the-future-of-blyth-spartans/

I don't think it was a plea before any financial trouble.

To me it read as if they were saying; they have been close to the playoffs the last two seasons, but this is the squad they can afford. If they want to go to the next level they need further fans through the turnstiles, because they won't spend money they don't have chasing a dream (promotion) that, under the current circumstances they can't afford.

Kidderminster 0-1 Alfreton

Haha. Classic unpredicatable Alfreton. Delighted to be proven wrong!

We are so much better away from home and Billys tactics are totally geared to away matches.

Richard Peniket picking up suspected ligament damage proved to be a blessing in disguise.

It forced Billy to change and play Styche more centrally which worked especially as Styche was clearly up for today. Was a menace and got a blow to the face for his troubles.

We should have made it more comfortable but put ourselves under unnecsary pressure for the final 15 minutes but hung on for a crucial 3 points.

Have to say Kidderminster were woeful. One of the worse teams I have seen this season.

A team lacking impetus, direction and a manager. Never known Aggnrough so empty either. 1,315? Sure it was 1,750 last season?

Its been a tough season but boy have taken some scalps on the Road.
First ever wins at Stockport and Boston in our history. First ever clean sheets in 1-0 wins at Darlington and Boston. York too. Some memorable away days. If only we knew how to win at the Impact Arena.

Don’t worry you will get a home win Saturday, midfield seems sorted under Watson,Moke and Law nowhere near team, but central defence is awful might of well play 2 dustbins.

Hmm. Not so sure. We are poor at home. Can see it being a stalemate. 0-0/1-1
It won’t be 0-0 unless sign some new defenders.
Heard we are signing a keeper next week,Eddison would look shit with those in front of him.Cresswell appeared in dug out before match we need him.

Poor game between two poor teams today, with Alfreton edging it. It was a typical performance by us, keeping hold of the ball and not doing anything with it or getting it forward. Really frustrating after a good win at Telford last week. Alfreton are just a bog standard Heath team, kicking anyone with an ounce of flair and hitting the ball as far as possible. Aside from their goal, they didn’t really create anything and I don’t remember our keeper having a save to make today.

I’d like to think when our injury worries are behind us, in particular Ed Williams that we’ll pick up, but not convinced. We need some fresh legs in midfield as that’s where we lost the game today, Russell Penn’s legs are gone and Weeks struggled alongside him. Thought we looked better when two of our academy players came on today.

Russ Penn is a great bloke but glad he left can’t believe you gave him a 2 year contract.

Fair assessment of the game. We were much better and well organised today but thats only because we have been awful in our last two matches. We are still a limited, inconsistent side

A desperate plea before financial trouble?

No doubt they will be saved by the gate receipts from the inevitable almost 1,500 crowd at their trip to a truly MASSIVE club’s reserve team next week.
