Tuned in to our footy show on local radio tonight expecting Jonno to tell us our injury crisis had eased after a fortnight off, instead it’s massively WORSE. Eight players out, three players picked up injuries in the last game, two in midweek whilst training and three are long term.

Absolutely ridiculous and genuinely never seen anything like it before, it’s honestly completely ruined our season. The only positives being that Dudley is back as well as Asante after several weeks out.

Cursed Football Club.

A couple of signings i might get to see up at Blyth tomorrow. We've signed striker Wilson Kneeshaw for the second time who was released by us after 5 game's and then joined Blyth.

And also defender Sam Muggleton from Chesterfield on loan for a month, by all accounts has a long throw to die for.

Witton Albion were in the Conference between 1991 and 1994!

Think their ground opened just before they were promoted because their old ground is now where Sainsbury's is in Northwich. Apparently there was no way on Earth that ground would've been passed for promotion to the Conference either!

Been lacking good fortune and having little joy with the injury crisis, at least the play-offs are well within reach that'll be the goal now. Our's is the familiar points on the board scrap to stay up.

Staggered that we're anywhere near the play-offs to be honest considering. Been happening all season.

We'll have a chance if we get players back but could do with avoiding the away games of the bottom half of them if we do get there. Our away record is dreadful.

Decent chance of a rare home win against us on Saturday despite the fact we are slightly better away from home. You at the game Big Dsve?

No with me mostly looking after the baby weekends I’ll be off to stalybridge as it takes 10 minutes there and back, Curzon is 30 mins if transport good.

Only get to about six Curzon games. Very very very windy this morning in Ashton which may hinder Heaths long ball style.

Curzon in high morale currently winning 8-0 midweek to get to the Manchester cup final.......while league clubs don’t take em seriously it’s a big thing for small non league clubs

HT Southport 4-1 Chorley.

All I can say is there is a definite glitch in the matrix.

Wow. That was easily the worst game we've had since... Southport away last year. Meppen Walter was shite. Leather poor. Carver did naff all. Only 3-4 can hold their heads high today. Sampson bullied the back 3 today. Easily best player on the pitch. But our fans deemed him not good enough.

Want this season to be over now so we can start again next season.

EDIT We also need a manager ASAP. Someone who can get a bit of desire from the players.

What a difference 2 weeks makes. Yates definitely has had an impact. No more keeping possession for keeping possession's sake. We kept the ball but actually moved forward with the ball.

Ironside, Chambers, Clayton-Phillips and Mcalinden (my motm) all had great games up front. And back in the defence our youngster Milan Butterfield is far better than Penn. He's got the legs to keep running dominated the midfield.

Chester weren't good. Only had 1 chance and they scored from it. Waring is nowhere near the quality of Ironside. Glad we didn't keep him.

Onto York next and hopefully reignite our playoff push.

Edit also shout out to the small section of Chester fans setting off some pyro after going 1-0 up only to lose 4-1 :P1:

We picked on the weaknesses we know you have. I'd have both Challinor and Blakeman back here in a heartbeat, but we seemed to know what we could get from them. We put Charles left wing, knowing his trickery could draw rash fouls from Challinor, and that's what got us the free-kick from which we scored first. We put our fastest and most direct player (Greene) right wing, knowing Blakeman lacks pace and can't turn quickly, and that got us our second with a ball in behind him. Great performance from us and nice to avenge the early season mauling you gave us, a bad day at the office for you.

Decent turnout from you though, I remember a time in the not too distant past where you wouldn't get 450 home fans. Fair play to you.

Agree with your thoughts Swedes, we were poor, our normally reliable CB's were not at the races today, never seen Scott Leather bullied like that, your wide players were very good indeed. Can't be often a player scores a hat trick away from home and ends up on the losing side though. We go again Tuesday to put things right.

It's hard to believe that we had an 11 game unbeaten run in September/October. We've now won 2 out of the last 10. Season over for us. I know we've got a long injury list, but on paper that team should have done better. Can't see where the next win is coming from. I think we still need a few points to avoid being dragged into a relegation tussle.

Well what a thoroughly strange afternoon

Alfreton Town FC is a broken football club in need of fixing.

The second half was frankly a complete embarrassment.

Reece Styche might be a decent footballer but he is a grade A tosser. Allegedly he got sent off for foul and abusive language although he told me he did not swear but called the liino (with the good hammy lol) that he was a cheat? Warrants a Red card according to ref John Matthews. Another inadequate official for both teams.

Then with 25 minutes gone one of the linesman could continue.

An appeal was sent over the tannoy for a replacement Match Official.

Nobody came forward so Alfreton`s kit lady Pam a qualified official volunteered.

Curzon then refused to restart play as Pam wasnt neutral.

After several lengthy discussions Curzon changed their minds and said they were happy for the game to take place.

So after an incredible 24 minute delay the first half resumed and we were soon 2-0 up thanks to a clever Josh Wilde chip

Then the second half..

Our 2 goal lead evapoarted with 3 minutes 11 seconds of the restart and then back to the wall with 10 men for the rest of the half before we sercumed in the final 10 and would have lost 4-3 if not for a late penalty save from Sam.

Must be 10 penalties conceded now this season.

Reece Styche second sending off of the season so a 4 game ban. Peniket out for 8 weeks. No other strikers avaliable.
We have a perflectly fine Striker Dec Bacon but he is out on Bloody loan as Billy dont like him.
Got Callum Chettle back from Boston. But he cant even get in the squad because Billy dont like him..

We have the fixtures to stave off relegation. But do we have the fight/players to put the ball in the back of the net.. not sure

No money whatsoever for Billy to bring in new faces being as he is a lame duck manager.

We are f****d.

At last a win on our travels and a thoroughly deserved much needed three points against a moderate Blyth side who were there for the taking. It once again should be mentioned the man in black was absolutely clueless a perfectly disallowed goal for what? Stops play and gives Jameson a goal kick :conf:.......throwing cards around like confetti and Fewster should have been booked for his calculated dive.

A game with very limited chances from both sides and for all the tippy tappy football from Blyth we never looked in any serious danger of giving this one away, apart from a couple of good saves from Maddison. I thought maybe Ainge should have done a lot better with his chance in the first half. And Elliott was unlucky towards the end of the game in which Jameson made a terrific save.

Solid all round performance from the lads especially in defense. Smith and Hughes slammed the door on everything, Muggleton looks a good acquisition to the back line with a decent debut, and his unimaginable long throw. Once again Trotman far too good for this league.

We gave a great standing ovation for Liam Hughes at the final whistle it was good to see him back.

Curzon seem to be flying since we sent Lewis Rielly there. I think he's scored in pretty much every game he's played in also.

Questioning a ref's integrity is indeed a sending off offence. Seriously it's worse than swearing at them. Correct decision.

Today we've started a crowdfunder towards our transfer budget for the run in. Looking to raise 2,500. Just shows how well we are doing on our budget.

Two and a half grand won't do much, will it?

How did the Brakes not win that?

Good question mate. Leamington are pleased with taking the point due to everything that went on on the day. On paper, a game they felt they should be winning. Referee was a bit iffy (for both sides) so grabbing a draw late on isn't a bad return. Always feels a point gained when you grab an equaliser late on. Hereford didn't really look too threatening but composed themselves well at key times during the game, especially with going down to 10 and fighting against the relentless Brakes pressure. Entertaining game though!

if scouting is done well I’d say you can find a good addition on couple of hundred a week, is about 10 weeks left so it’s only 2,000

Problem with some of the clubs this level they just chuck FL wages at players than scout about for the bargain

Darlo fans how’s muggleton? You fed up at long throws yet.3 games for me.
Feel a bit sorry for him,he always tries 100% but not very good, but fans get fed up with the way the team plays when he is playing.
