Tell me about it, there was supposed to be an annoucement this morning but nowt has happened. They'll have to make it pay on the day, too late to organise online tickets etc
Had to buy my train tickets from Liverpool already else I'd be an extra tenner down. Hopefully it goes ahead.

We only have one derby worth that emotion, being going on since the 1920's but since the 1970's only us really carried it on until we met in the FA Cup at OT in 1991. They didn't show up before or after the match, they couldn't believe how many lads turned up that day (you'll never see that in any of their books by the way). The only other rivalry in the region is Blackburn, the others are just on the day rivalries. I've been following Bolton since the mid 1970's , in order it probably goes Filth, Massives, Blackburn, Everton, Preston, Burnley and then to a lesser extent Bury, Wigan, Oldham, Rochdale and then for a small time in the 1990's Tranmere (but that was down to Elton Welsby and his love in for them),
I'm not sure what the scene is like now, but we used to terrorise the clubs in the lower divisions, and I know no one liked coming to Burnden, even the filth hated it.
It's not all bad, we won our last league title at your place.:)

May be brilliant but they are in a far stronger position compared to our team and most likely won't get relegated.

Anyone going to Southend ?

Not going to Portsmouth tomorrow after giving up with Tranmere’s hopeless ticket site.
A draw at Fratton would be brilliant for us, but I can only see this game going one way after making Rochdale look like Barcelona.

Not working or quizzing tomorrow, so will be attending Rochalona v Doncaster. Although Donny have lost a couple of players from last year's team, they'll still be a tough nut to crack, while our defence still has the occasional "Corporal Jones" moment.

Pre season, in the August thread, I correctly predicted a 3-2 win at Prenton Park - then said we'd lose to Doncaster. I hope I'm wrong...

We were very disjointed in the first half last week and could easily have been 3 down before we scored out of the blue. Second half we were a totally different team and should have won it. Not sure how we will play this weekend but the biggest concern is taking any chances we create.

Away at Rotherham today, who we haven't beat since about 1654. An absolutely bogey team.

My record against Rotherham is P10 L10...

No Shackell, Pett or, presumably, Freck today so we'll only have 6 subs again and only 3 of which will be senior players. This'll be afar tougher test than Accrington last week so would take a draw (if only to stop our losing streak!).

What are you doing Tisdale? Poole, Reeves, Gilby and Healey on the bench. :ffs:.

Have we that strong a squad!

Very proud of those young lads today, avaerage age of first 11 was 19 years, avaerage age of subs was 17 years old. It wasn't great, but credit first to the 1900 Cov fns, and to those young lads.....football wins today

Both sides let down by the football league.

How does Brett Huxtable not feel embarrassed every time he picks up a match fee? Absolutely dreadful decision making (for both sides) today and getting more rotund every year.

Love how Shrewsbury fans were touching themselves over how good a signing they thought Ebanks-Landell would be. I said on here when they signed him he's a liability and was awful for us, one of our worst ever defenders (Sheffield United fans seem to agree too when he was there on loan). He only goes and scores an own-goal today (scored an own goal when he was on loan to us too). Liability proven.

Very comfortable win today. Restricted Tranmere to a couple of long pot shots. Ben Close has the goal of the season wrapped up already. Should have been a bigger score line, 2 border line offsides, hit the post and 2nd week we've had a shot cleared off the line by our own player. Looked dangerous at set pieces and scored from one. Andy Cannon looks a player.

We were appalling, disallowed goals or not. Robins learnt absolutely nothing from last season.

Decent game against Donny. We just about had the better of the first half, they shaded the second half. Some good saves from both keepers.

I'd have settled for a point before the start, but it's annoying when we concede a late equaliser - although Donny deserved something from the game.

Hope Baptiste (stretchered off in the first half) isn't too badly injured. :(
