Waddock's a funny one, he did get us promotion from L2 which was no mean feat with a not particularly impressive squad, but he didn't half sign some shite as well.

I don't think he's the manager I'd want in a relegation scrap though, he comes across as a genuinely nice bloke but I'm not sure that cuts in down at the arse end of the table, you need someone to kick some arses and get the team playing solidly enough to get points in.

I don't know anything about Henrik Larsson from a management (as opposed to playing) credentials perspective, but that sounds like a shite choice to me. Get someone in who knows the division, and has the contacts to get some decent loan players in.
Yeah Waddock does seem an alright bloke and the team definitely improved as soon as Bond left it just didn't last very long I think the problems far deeper than the manager the teams full of pricks who do not give a shit and somewhat appear to think they're better than us and it's their own doing that we're in the situation where we need a manager to save us from relegation 10 games in. They all need a massive kick up the arse.

Sunderland for us tomorrow, which is the start of tough, tough month with Portsmouth and Peterborough in there as well (Bolton the other game, I think).

Sounds like we'll be missing Bostwick at CB again.

Should have beaten Man Utd U21's in midweek as we created bucket loads of chances even with making as many changes as we did.

Despite this poor run, we've been performing ok in the main and it's just small margins at the minute. Not conceding early (again) would help...

I know there had been some Wycombe fans complaining we called off our game next week as the players called up weren’t starters but substitutes. Well today we’ve lost arguably our best CM this season in Flynn Downes and hadn’t we called it off, now would be too late.

Well done Town for calling it off

Our game at Pompey next week is currently going ahead despite them having 3 call ups - but it doesn't seem like it's 100%?

Admittedly it's not a huge journey for us, but still an annoying one to have to make on a Tuesday night so I guess this is good news?

Well this is a first for Fleetwood but I can say tomorrow's match against the Tractor Boys is the match of the weekend, thats certainly put a damper on things ! Great test for our lads and they will definitely be not short of confidence, equally Ipswich will fancy their chances as well
Weather looks reasonable, so safe journey for all you Tractor lads and dont be too disappointed if its a more than long trip back home !! unless of course some of you decide to visit the fairy lights up the road

Lincoln is our "old boys" reunion game, lots of us from the old times making the trip. Initially 1129 tickets but I assume we'll get more when we sell them?

Mk dons away.
If this was a Premiership fixture it would be last on Match of the day with a voice over commentator in a studio.
Defeat for us.

Stick your money on 1-1, it’s our favourite score. But honestly i feel like today will be a very tough game against you and i’m not overly confident and think this could be 2-1 either way. Rarely do we make things easy for ourselves in this league as we either concede first or go ahead and try to hold onto a 1-0 for some poxy reason but we DO have the players with the quality to get the right result so you never know what your gonna get.

I saw Oxford rip you apart a fortnight ago and thought oh well they will definitely not want to lose like that again at home again, so i’m fully expecting a tight performance where your lads will make it as hard as possible and uncomfortable as possible for us especially for the your new gaffer in charge.

Lets hope today is entertaining (more for us hopefully though haha)

Hope everyone travelling today around the country has safe trips.

I think barring any injuries picked up today, it'll go ahead.

We've lost 3 Saturday fixtures already this season (Bury, Victorious Festival and international call-up's) and has seriously hampered any rhythm to our season to date. Jackett won't want even more disruption to an already very disjointed start.

Hi yes you will if sell them, Sunderland got 1936 tickets for today.
All tickets sold for today so just over 10,000 in the ground as we've moved the tv gantry allowing more seats.
First saw us play you guys in 1985, we won 2 0 .

So it’s the return of the Maq today, Pompey appear to have turned a 20+ goal a season striker into a bit of a donkey or was it that we set up around him unlike Pompey? We have injuries to our forwards so not sure where our goal threat will come from

Salop are absolutely shithousing us and the ref is playing along. Having said that they've knocked around nicely when they've wanted to and we're lacking defenders and offering nothing going forward.

Wimbledon very good in the first half. We barely left our own half in the first 30 mins with the pressure they were putting on us.
Running a threadbare squad is going to cost us this season. An ill Ian Henderson came off the bench to score 2 goals. We did nothing before he came on.
Next 2 games crucial for us. Accy at home and Bolton away. Accy is going to be difficult with call ups to add to injury woes.

Poor game with 2 poor teams I thought. Although Shrewsbury were decent defensively. Thought all the yellow cards today were harsh and am not sure we would of got back into the game with 11 players on the park. 10 players out injured isn’t helping.

Easy win vs southend should have scored 7 especially with 2 missed penalties.
Southend will be playing league 2 football next season

Embarrassingly bad from us today, worst we’ve played in years. Rotherham better than us in every department. Hopefully the last time Kyle McFadzean wears a Cov shirt for a while.

We have given him absolutely fuck all service tbh. One of a catalogue of issues rn.

Sounds like we deserved anything but the win today, but I'll take it!

A good day at the office for you Tractor Boys, Fleetwood played a lot of really good football in the first half and were the better team. Second half after you had scored there was no way back for the Cods. It is a sobering thought that Ipswich who were rock bottom of the Championship last year by a mile, come into league 1 and contained a team ( unbeaten at home since February ) with not too much sweat, and hopefully one who will be challenging for the play offs
Great support from Ipswich there it was a terrific atmosphere at the match in a crackin game
If anybody finishes above Ipswich they will be Champions......

Our own fault we didn’t put away the chances we created but not having a striker in the team isn’t helping

We knew by January that we were down so essentially Lambert was able to use it as an extended pre season which has probably helped us a lot.

Sounded on the radio like it was a good atmosphere!

Will some of you please beat Ipswich, I'm getting cold sweats at the thought of going back to Portman Road.

Cracking result, fair play to Fleetwood who put up good opposition; I don't think we particularly clicked in the first half but the second could have been a lil' more comfortable had we took our chances.

I hate to jinx it, but it's already looking very, very bright in terms of us bouncing back at the first attempt. That first loss will come (11 unbeaten including Leeds last season); but I'm not sure where from at present.

Best away support (and possibly home, too) in the league by a country mile; too!

It’s 12 including Leeds but I’m not sure I agree with best away support. Pompey and Sunderland have very decent away followings.

Make that 12 out injured as both Neil Danns and Ollie Banks picked up injuries on Saturday. That, together with Connor Jenning being suspenced for being fouled, means we are 13 down. Never know it this bad.

As for the referee on Saturday Craig Hicks gave the sort of abysmal performance I have come to expect from him. He was bad enough in the VNL but he seems to be even worse now, something I didn`t think possible. Some of those booking on Saturday were a total joke yet he allowed Shrewsbury`s number 28 Laurent go around kicking everybody in sight despite already being on a yellow card. One foul on Neil Danns in particular was shithouse play of the highest order yet he got away with it. Little wonder at the end of the game he ran half the length of the Johnny King Stand grinning his head off at the fans. If there is a worse referee on the League Lists then Hicks I`ve not seen him.
