Make that 12 out injured as both Neil Danns and Ollie Banks picked up injuries on Saturday. That, together with Connor Jenning being suspenced for being fouled, means we are 13 down. Never know it this bad.

As for the referee on Saturday Craig Hicks gave the sort of abysmal performance I have come to expect from him. He was bad enough in the VNL but he seems to be even worse now, something I didn`t think possible. Some of those booking on Saturday were a total joke yet he allowed Shrewsbury`s number 28 Laurent go around kicking everybody in sight despite already being on a yellow card. One foul on Neil Danns in particular was shithouse play of the highest order yet he got away with it. Little wonder at the end of the game he ran half the length of the Johnny King Stand grinning his head off at the fans. If there is a worse referee on the League Lists then Hicks I`ve not seen him.

Carl Boyeson or Brett Huxtable?

Don't worry you've got Stephan Payne -- He's so good he plays like two men.

A fair result according to both managers with the draw at Accrington.

The real cost from the game is Ben Woodburn out for up to 3 months after a bad challenge on him, and Anthony Forde out with a groin injury for a while in all likelihood based on Robinson's comment. So we now have 3 senior central midfielders out long term and 1 winger out long term, and now with Forde out it makes it harder to move James Henry central which is an option.

Also, central midfielder Shandon Baptiste is on international duty with Grenada this week just to make it worse.

Don’t worry we haven’t any strikers

Lashers already calling for Grayson's head despite sitting in 4th place.

Their delusion is incredible.

Surely not. Despite only getting a point at Bolton last night, it's not the same Bolton from the early weeks they've got a fairly competent squad now.

Someone copied a few posts on PNE Online, looked on their forum and there are about 12 threads slating Grayson, including a poll for a replacement. They're fucking mental.

Good news for us, Shandon Baptiste has turned down Grenada as he wants to keep his options for England open. It sounds silly but Premier League clubs are tracking him.

We would be potentially going into the game with Accy on Saturday with only three fit defenders. However two of the three (Matheson England U-18 and Norrington-Davies Wales U-21) have been called up for international duty.

Now Jimmy Keohane is a good lad, who has played competently in every defensive position for us this season, but he can't surely do all four at once...

That's par for course with JCH I'm afraid, he was always the same for us unfortunately.

He is such a strong powerful bloke but always a game away from his next injury, it's such a shame for him and of course whoever he is playing for.

Yeah true, he's always got a little strain but can usually run it off. He missed the first 3 or 4 games with an injury he picked up at the end of last season too, hopefully this will be the last of it as he is such a talent.

He's in the top 5 scorers in the country for 2019 and that's only coming to us on January 31st and being injured for the beginning of this season & now out until December.

Hopefully we can still do 'ok' without him, most know that without him we're a lower mid table team tbh

Whilst it's great our players are getting call ups it couldn't come at a worse time for us. This squad is so thin. When firing on all cylinders we look great, as seen in the first few games of the season. But when we're down the bare bones we look set for the drop.
I think come 5PM tomorrow I'll be regretting not sacking the football off to go to the Super League Grand Final :(.

Posh for us tomorrow.

Bit of a weird one because, outside of our normal derby games, it's not as local as Doncaster, Rotherham, Chesterfield etc but seen as more of a derby game than those. For me, it's a local game with a bit of spice to it than a proper derby game and I imagine some of their end see it the same way because, presumably, theirs are Northampton and Cambridge (maybe MK, too?).

Everything heightened a bit under KA's departure from here to there back in the mid-00's but also, I suspect, because they draw quite a few fans from south Lincolnshire so there might be a bit more 'on it' for those sort of people than those up here.

Best form of defence is attack with this one, I think. Not gung-ho or anything but we saw last week against Sunderland that give us space and we'll do some damage and we're stronger going forward than at the back anyway. Posh concede goals and seem to rock a bit when they do.

No Bostwick (calf), Frecklington (groin), Coker (knee), Morrell (Wales) or Lewis (Wales U21). Anderson (ankle) was on the bench last week after a knock but Pett (knee) might be back in the squad having been out since the final pre-season game.

Pompey away for us. Have won there the last 2 years against all odds, but not expecting a third on the trot. A point would be fine for me! I think Pompey are missing a couple to internationals, but we're got more or less a fully fit squad bar Matt Willock, who's only played 45 minutes for us this season anyway.

Bonham
Fuller - Ehmer - Ogilvie - O'Connor
Jones
O'Keefe - Byrne
Lee
Hanlan - Jakubiak

Walsh, Hodson, Pringle, Charles-Cook, Marshall, Ndjoli, Mandron

750 Gills, 2-2 draw.

Wet.

Our only missing first teamer will be MacGillivary - McCrorie’s not been in the side, and Curtis needs a break (although may actually be available due to a weird loophole).

Breaking the Gillingham hoodoo would be good tomorrow!

Well done Joseph Barton for winning the league 1 manager of the month for September
I'm sure this will stand him in good stead for his upcoming court case in November.........

I guess they can’t give it to the same manager twice in a row... :fish:

The life is being sucked out of Fratton Park. Just absolute dreadful football and those in the stands are resigned that nothing’s gonna change. Nothing fun about it!

Comfortable win Vs a very poor MK Dons. 1-0 flattered them tbh

Should have been 3/4-0 in the end but a win is a win. If JCH was fit it would have been a massacre.

Worried on our injuries though. Thats now 7 first team players who're injured

Beat Doncaster today. Kwame Thomas isn’t very good and I gather the lack of potency really hit Donny before they had even kicked off... but I gather that was known before he started today!

Virtually all one way traffic for 85 minutes. The goal just after half time killed the game, mind. Niall Ennis provided more of a threat when he came on but by that time we had complete control of the game and it was too little too late.

we’ve never beaten a team managed by Robinson and I never thought for one minute that would change today.

Well thats a bit better. We really have found a gem in our Brentford loanee. Hope they dont want him back at christmas. If we keep him we should have enough goals in us to stay up.
