Youth team keeper in goal for Southend tonight, but with our record at Roots Hall, he’ll probably score their winner

Terrible performance but got the win. 14 unbeaten, 4 off the play offs.

First half I thought we was actually the better side. Second half there was only going to be one winner. Counting down this season now let the nightmare end

A good night for us, with results going our way and several of our long term injured coming through unscathed in the Cheshire Senior Cup.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't give up hope yet. Oxford were good - very fluid and quick going forward - but that was as bad a performance as I've ever seen from a Wimbledon side. Seriously could have been 8 or 9.

Thought you played the better football throughout personally, just without any attacking nous. Having said that, your kid nearly equalised right at the end which I don't think would've been totally undeserved.

God bless Connor Ogilvie.

We were abysmal, one game that needs instant eradication from the memory banks.

Gillingham at home has been moved to Sunday 29th March at 1pm to suit Sky.

Bad for the attendance but no doubt the return of SE was a contributing factor.

I'm hoping I don't have to witness his arse tearing up our touchline in celebration.

I didn't get your tactics at all, pressed with a few players but the rest stood off while your defence and midfield held a lovely gap between them.

Your keeper had a very good game as he kept the score down with some excellent saves.

Your no.7 did make me chuckle when he ran over and ranted at the Linesman about offside for the 5th goal in injury time (it wasn't close to being offside) which seems a tad late to get angry!

Don't worry about it Miller, we never win on TV, and i mean never.

Other than the cup tie at Solihull we haven't been on the tv for a live game this season.

I did think we had a chance when we play Portsmouth at home on Good Friday.

The only other chance was Donny at home but SYP have moved the kick off to 12.30.

Never thought that they would pick this game.
Its got to be for the SE/PR connection, coming back to show their former Fitness Coach how it's done.

We've been fairly abject since January.

Had Wimbledon bothered to press us, they would have probably drawn or at least kept it to a 1-0 scoreline. I can only assume that they haven't bothered to watch us - Press high and you'll get a result. Back off? This side will carve you open. I wouldn't be happy as a Wimbledon supporter; that was a case of absolutely no preparation on Oxford whatsoever. Essentially every side since the turn of the year has addressed their tactics to prevent us from playing to secure a result.

We are in great form but guess everything has to come to an end sometimes, we have our massive bogey side Rochdale away coming Saturday

That's the odd thing about it. We pressed and harried really well against Peterborough, Ipswich, Fleetwood and Rotherham in recent games but everything that was good about those performances just went completely missing against you. Hodges has got a lot of stick about the formation he played but I'm not convinced it wasn't more the players just not doing their jobs. Some of the defending was Sunday League. I'm hoping it was a one-off because any more displays like that and we're in deep trouble.

It was strange. I’m not sure a change in formation really would have impacted the game at all. The lack of pressing was evident; there appeared to be absolutely no intent, rather an obvious effort to stand off and defend as deep as possible.

It was certainly a peculiar tactic!

Home to Gillingham for us tomorrow. We don't have a great record against Evans sides that I can recall and if Evans plays the same way at Gillingham as he has done against us previously, it'll be very direct, lots of crosses and a very physical, broken up game. Our side isn't currently geared up for that sort of opponent at all.

I think they'll be a couple of changes - one probably at LB where Melbourne will come in and Edun back into CM. Melbourne is about twice the height of Edun so that one makes sense, and it wouldn't surprise me if Lewis, a RB by trade, comes in for Anderson and plays right wing as he's done a couple of times this season.

Better weather forecast for the Fylde coast tomorrow so hoping for good turnout from the locals and no doubt plenty of Pompey fans (making along weekend of it )
We have never beaten Pompey at home, they are on a tremendous run which sadly will end for them as Fleetwood continue their excellent form of late and triumph 2-1
Safe trip to all Portsmouth lads

Not going to Wycombe tomorrow. The last away game I missed was MK Dons at the start of November, i.e. our last away win, so knowing my luck...

Hoping for another ugly win, but a draw wouldn't be the worst.

You did finally win at ours last season - nevertheless I hope a nasty and hefty lump of nasal mucus temporarily derails your promotion push!

Our pitch has been covered all week so hopefully the match will be on, Jamie Allen will get a good reception and we don't concede the usual last minute goal...

3-2 to us, with Ian Henderson getting a couple to get closer to our all-time leading scorer records...

Happy with the point today. I know it wasn't great conditions out there, but really did expect more from Gillingham. Clearly organised, but first thought every time was to boot the ball forward. Lost count the amount of balls that were smashed through to Vickers. With the conditions in the 2nd half, Gillingham grew into it and looked the biggest threat from corners. That being said, a solid point, great to have Bozzy back and nice of us not to make any mistakes!

2 weeks off now as were due to play Bury next week.

It's tight down there but a point added between us and Tranmere.

Another win. Again, not so pretty but simple.

Rochdale were probably the only side, other than ourselves, I've seen try pass on the floor consistently. However, their lack of threat going forward must be the reason they are towards the bottom.

Two mega games this week. Rotherham on Tuesday, Sunderland on Sunday. Both in Brum.

I feel ill at the prospect of the next week. Come this time next Sunday we could either be comfortably in control at the top of the league or looking over our shoulders at 7th. Massive, massive games. Would bite your hand off for 4 points now.

Highlight of today was Appleton shutting the fat fella up.
Poor game in poor conditions with a referee made to measure for the occasion.
