TBF we haven't really missed him that much but Warney was very happy with him and wanted him to stay.

Doing pretty well to be fair, he puts himself about and for a big bloke he's got quick feet, we're hoping we can do something at the EOS to keep him.

Norwich extended his contract just before his loan to us, so may well have another year left from the start of next season.

I wasn’t at last nights game (busy working) but judging from the highlights we looked lucky to come away with a draw.

Pretty much, the Gas hit the woodwork and missed a one on one in stoppage time. We created nothing last twenty minutes and were hanging on for the point.

I thought we deserved a draw, but they had the better chances.

I think lack of confidence is our biggest problem at the moment, after such a long run of defeats. We are hardly a side full of creativity, but we looked more threatening earlier in the season.

I’m looking forwards to a day out on the ale in Rochdale on Saturday.
It will be my 14th ever visit to Spotland, one of my all time favourite away days. Although my last visit there was a Leyland Daf fixture back in 1989.
The pie and peas at Spotland were legendary and the Cemetery hotel was one of the finest ale houses in the country. No idea what either are like now though.
Barcadale gave us a real footballing lesson on the opening day of the season and the writing was on the wall for us after that defeat in what has been a totally deflating experience in L1 thus far. Were doomed.
I don’t think we’ll have much of an away following on Saturday and doubt whether we’ll take anything from the game, but please god let us score. Even if it’s a double deflection off someone’s backside let us score.

That was my first visit to Spotland and is still the lowest away attendance I have ever been part of. There were only about 40-50 of us there that night, which was actually the first step on our path to Wembley and winning our first meaningful competition.

I completely agree about the reverse fixture on the opening day. I think we all realised it would be a struggle to survive after that game.

Can't stand these "fans". He's put £90m in - hearing people on social media try and simplify the situation by just saying "we need a new owner to come and invest" makes me cringe... like buying a L1 Club with £90m debts and running at a loss is in any way realistic.

Big win for us vs doncaster thanks to 2 og's by Cameron john , keeps us in the mix and now 13 unbeaten, though donny were the better side until the deserved red card then after half time we were the much better side even though donny had a couple of chances to level.

A thoroughly deserved win by Fleetwood, excellent performances all over the pitch and a second massive victory inside 5 days against two teams near the top. Heady days at the moment, confidence is sky high, the loan players such as Callum Connolly who scored a cracker today, Gibson who looks solid at the back and Mckay are doing the business
We look, and are a really good team, who knows where this will go........

Bang on. No one deserved to win that game, it was 2 terrible teams.

We should have seen the game off in the first 15 minutes tbh, as we should have in the last 15 minutes - but I think you guys definitely controlled the rest of the game.

Finally we won a game, last time was 14th December ffs! Now the draw at Tranmere doesn't look too bad within reason, a point on the road and 3 at home. We'll get battered against Sunderland (twice), Peterborough away and Ipswich at home in 4 of our next 6 games though.

Similarly when the Black Cats were at Fleetwood in December the Roker 'faithful' were in full cry that Parkinson be removed, he has certainly turned things round. Down the road you have Grayson given the hoof last week, his credentials have been pretty descent over the years but he should be glad to be out from that load of s....
We will certainly give you a good examination next week and fingers crossed the weather is much improved Speaking of managers Joseph Barton deserves plenty of credit for the Fleetwood's continual improvement. He has lost 2 key midfielders in Jordan Rossiter and Kyle Dempsey, both out for the rest of the season,been playing local lad Jack Sowerby in midfield allowing Paul Coutts to get some rest. Coutts is now back and playing some great football, he shipped out Eastham to Salford along with loaning them Hunter and brought in Glen Whelan who despite his age looks real class in the middle. We also have our under 18's lying second in the Youth Alliance League or whatever its called...all of which means our Joey will more than likely be in a few more srcapes before the end of the season !!

Actually thought you were far the weakest of all the teams at the top we've played recently. You may have had an off-day (and, yes, I know you won in the end) but don't think you're on a par with the pacesetters.

I'd take a draw on Saturday but I do wonder if we will hold some kind of psychological edge given we've already beaten you at Highbury in the cup, know how weak you are at set-pieces and generally have a good record at your place.

Truth be told Donny were one of the best sides I've seen this season and probably deserved to leave with a point at least, but their first half sending off was arguably the reason they didn't - crass stupidity from the boy. Not that you'd believe that going by the Donny fans reactions on the net, who claim that Barry Fuller (one of the toughest, most honest players in the league) dived to get him sent off, and that the only reason it was a red was because Evans and Raynor reacted. Interestingly, watching the video of the incident back, not one member of staff or substitute from the Donny bench so much as reacts when the red card is brandished, telling you everything you need to know.

Anyway, bar the Yorkshire moaning, we played some ok stuff in horrendous conditions and could've scored 4 or 5 with Akinde and Roberts (twice) missing gilt-edged chances, before a late Donny rally saw them come close a couple of times, although Bonham wasn't seriously tested at any stage.

Onto Southend on tuesday, and it wouldn't surprise me to see the unbeaten record go there.

Last minute loss at Accrington. You shouldn't go away from home and get in front 3 times and get pegged back and certainly shouldn't score 3 and lose. Both teams made a decent game of it on Saturday despite the conditions, but the wind apparently picked up further in the second half as we were kicking into it. Horrendous defending from both sides at times looking at the highlights.

Appleton hung the experienced defenders out to dry at the weekend (more so Shackell, I think), which makes his selection at the weekend interesting. Wouldn't be a massive surprise to see a different back four, although part of that down to Edun not being an out and out LB.

I know when we played at you place we were somewhat battered by you early on, I remember saying that was the kind of win we needed, on the back foot struggling at times but managing to sneak a win. There are any number of a dozen or so teams who can go up, which makes league 1 a very good league in its own right

I think I've seen us win three times at Roots Hall - 1-0 with Tommy Black scoring about 13 years ago, another 1-0 in the title season (12/13) with I think Whelpdale scoring, and the 3-1 on the opening day a few years ago when we all thought JET was the missing link to a promotion charge. Seen a fair share of dismal showings there too over the years, but think it's more or less evened out by now. Wouldn't be stunned if we dropped points again tomorrow, but a win sets us up very nicely.

FAO Gills fans travelling by train. There are no trains from Prittlewell to Stratford/Liv Street from 21:23 to 22:52 tonight for some odd reason but just saying as whenever going Gills I travel to Stratford then walk to Stratford International to come into Kent.

Apparently absolutely dreadful traffic over the Dartford crossing and along the A13 - One of several reasons I'm giving tonight a miss, I've spent far too many hours trying to get to Southend of a weeknight or bank holiday!
