100 Walsall fans on the pitch after their winner. Funny how they were calling for the came to be abandoned when Coventry and Sunderland did the same.

Shocking performance from us again.

Thought we looked a little scruffy today. Pitch noticibly cutting up last few games and our performance mirrored it.

Did enough but for a long time there was always the possibility Fleetwood could nick one, despite another Master class of central defense against a very useful striker in Ched Evans.

Good win but winter and crappy pitches are on us as well as a tough set of upcoming fixtures so time will tell what we've got despite sneaking into the auto spots today

Played well In patches that first half, second half was a real poor game of football in difficult conditions. I didn’t realise just how windy it was until I left the ground so I think that absolutely would have played a big role in quite a scruffy looking game.

Need to sort our pitch out a little bit as well, didn’t look in great shape today and that’s really important to how we want to play, those little passes in and around the box won’t come off with the ball bouncing up to your ankles!!!

I know Justin got MoTM match but thought Shinnie was exceptional today in a game that didn’t really suit him and that he may have last year faded from, he still managed to look a class act.

Up to 2nd with Sunderland not playing. Can’t quite believe that to be honest, may not last with games in hand and so on but really enjoying this season and the ride Nathan Jones is taking us on.

What is it about p-r m...
My early season criticising of him drew plenty of vitriol from the “lurkers” in the Luton camp... not the regulars on here I hasten to add...
But he’s so frustrating to watch ...
Living up to his potential on occasions yet looking like he’s the weak link showing no consistency...
Before those “lurkers” bring the knives out again I appreciate that while we keep winning then the end will justify the means..but if all of our players were fit would he be playing every game?
Just asking like ...
It’s a game of opinions after all...

So it seems. Another big win for us today, I won't get carried away as this form won't last, but we edge closer to safety with each win, and (whisper it) maybe even an incredibly unlikely tilt at the play-offs?
I was embarrassed by our performance today but fair play to your lads, worked harder, looked more dangerous and deserved the 3 points.

Automatics are definitely out the picture for us now and with the Christmas fixtures we have, the play offs may have faded from sight come January too. We're playing really poorly at the moment and the pressing game we started the season with has been replaced with sideways passing and long balls to no-one.

Pelly had an off day today but he wasn't the only one. Thought Collins and Lee looked off the pace and the team as a whole didn't play to their recent high standards they have set. Even a below par performance, in difficult conditions, was enough to win the game against a team who for all their tricks didn't look like getting anything from the game. Poor ref today not just for the fact he didn't punish the Fleetwood players earlier for their antics but for not giving a very clear cut penalty after some excellent play by Danny. I'll happily accept a below par performance if we still get the points. Agree with FCH about Shinnie being man of the match but Pearson was also excellent today.
To answer your question Oakroader Pelly has been one of our best players this season and I hope that NJ continues to show faith in him. Pelly gave his all today and looked knackered at the end. Shinnie is another player who has vastly improved this season. In fact quite a few have taken the step up. Very happy to see JJ given the chance and he is certainly taking it.

Big win for us at Scunthorpe now 7 point clear of the relegation zone, Wycombe at home next week will be tough especially with our home form

Thought Luton looked decent today and played some good football on an awful pitch but had no final ball. Both their goals were scruffers. Fleetwood never offered any threat though. Can imagine Luton on a good pitch with a final ball steamrolling a few teams.

Pelly was not good today, but he has been superb this season so I think he is allowed an off day. He did do some good things sill today, one ball out to Shinnie firstbhalf was exceptional for instance but I think playing just about every minute may be beginning to catch up a tad.

In general we weren’t that great today, conditions were tricky so there is some mitigation to it but I do think the fact that this 11 has played so regularly may be catching up with them a little. Wouldn’t surprise if we see a few tweaks and changes next week.

Hyltons cameo today was really enjoyable both for his play and his off the ball shall we say “industry”! So we might see him a little more, he could be key in games like today when conditions are tricky because he’s got a bit of magic in him, as his superb run that should have got a penalty on showed.

An extremely comfortable home win. 2-0 but again could have been 4 up at half time. We are really playing like a great team. Southends defence couldn't deal with Hawkins, Curtis and lowe. 2nd home league game running where we didn't allow the opposition a shot on target. Goalie had time for a coffee during the match. Also not sure what Simon Cox was trying to a achieve by standing on the goalie when he had the ball in his hands. Idiot

Today was a carbon copy of the game against Walsall, another brilliantly professional performance. Curtis ran Southend's right side ragged in the first half, so much so that it seemed as if their left back Bwomono got switched to stifle him in the second half, which tbh he did a decent job of. Liked him a lot actually, he seemed like a bright spark in Southend's side. But ultimately we completely dominated and deserved the win today, this season continues to be ridiculous.

Can't wait for the next three games, but if ever there was a time we'd have a blip it would probably be this month.. we're not gonna keep restricting teams to no shots on target by inviting pressure in the second half as we've done so regularly this season.

We've spent £1m on strikers and still have the worst front line in the league, lol

Good win over salop and nice to see boycey on the sheet again.
Crap game though.
Our season is at a crossroads. Mid table currently we could push on for the playoffs or we could get dragged down to the dogfight.
Oh and we are 90 mins away from the semi final of the league cup...

It's not and you did tspend £1.2 million on yours.
Oh sorry it changed recently. The CB is 2nd.

But our strikers have scored 3 goals all season.

2 of those came in the Paint Trophy Cup. Only 1 was in the league against you ironically

It’s depressing when you consider our early season performances. There hasn’t been any urgency about our play in way too many games recently and right now I genuinely believe we’re going to still be in this league next season.

The only urgency I've seen from us recently was at Sunderland when 3 nil down.

I think a lot of teams have sussed us out - sit deep and let us fanny about with it in our own half, get in our faces when we're in their half and then quickly launch it towards our full backs on the counter attack. Wycombe did this perfectly yesterday and we didn't have the guile to try anything different or the bollocks to get stuck in and fight back. We don't seem to have a leader on the pitch and it really does show when we come up against a team willing to have a go at us. Can't remember the last time we won in the league after going 1 nil down.

You definitley deserved the win at the end of the day, the team was setup completely wrong in the first half and by then the game was over, I have no idea why the manager set us up with 5 in midfield and then ended up playing long balls to Simon Cox who is never going to be able to hold the ball up and bring others into the game. We gave it a go in the second half and dominated possession after changing formation and bringing on Theo Robinson to give Cox some suport but ran out of steam in the final third, as you say not having a shot on target was the killer. Would've been interesting if we managed to grab a goal in the second half.

Injuries are doing for us this season, lost another yesterday so thats 11 now out injured and 5 for the season including our best striker and left back amongst others.

I keep thinking Tom Eaves is going to run out of steam, but he keeps proving me (and a lot of others) very wrong. To be on 14 goals for the season already in a side that doesn't create an awful lot is exceptional, and if he could score penalties he'd be on 16. Add that to the 17 he got last campaign and he must go down surely as one of our best ever free signings. I really hope he signs a new deal as it's up in the summer, but that looks less likely with every goal he scores. He's bang on course to hit 25 for the season which would probably make him worth a couple of million at least if it wasn't for the contract issue, so if that gets sorted sooner rather than later then we could have a decent payday on our hands over the next couple of years.

Massive game on Tuesday. Our rearranged match v Charlton. Hope they regret having the game moved for international duty as that would have meant Ronan Curtis would have been unavailable. His 2 assists Saturday take him to 7 goals and 7 assists this season. He was sensational Saturday. Could move us 10 above Sunderland if we win. That's mammoth even if they have two games in hand on us. Won't be easy though.

Just about dried off from the open terrace at Accrington. Would rather we had another go than stick with a 1-1 or potentially suffer another freak goal.

Hard to really comment on the game itself as 1) it doesn't count for anything and 2) for a good chunk of it I had sideways rain in my eyes but Accrington played it around well considering the conditions and completely outplayed us in the 1st half. If we beat Walsall tomorrow in the cup that will be 3 games we'll have in hand over some of the teams around us come January, hopefully when we come to play them they won't be must win ones.

Bristol Rovers at home in the league next then the biggest game of the season so far away to Portsmouth.

We just 4-0 at home to Doncaster.

I’d genuinely think you could get near double figures
