Not holding out much hope for us at Charlton. Joe Piggot's injured and LTB (sob) will probably score against us.

Loads of our supporters are doing the now customary boat trip along the Thames. Just waiting for a few pics to appear on Facebook.

Taylor got injured on Tuesday and left in a protective boot so he might not be in the squad today.

You're never quite sure with Lyle. He can exaggerate things a bit. No offence, but I hope he isn't playing today.

Even if he isn't you'd still lose anyway ;)

Today went as well as we all expected really. Thought we’d get smashed and we did. A deflected strike and two calamitous defensive mistakes sum up our season.

Two more injuries mean we probably won’t fill a bench again next week. We will finally be in the bottom four after next week, it’s been a long time coming.

Very decent point by the sounds of things, but it now makes the Sunderland game next Saturday even bigger than it already was.. I'm already nervy but can't wait, it should be a cracker.

The lack of subs/constantly playing the safe option is becoming somewhat frustrating from Jackett; so far he's generally been proven right in his decisions, but it's slightly irritating to know we have Andre Green and Brett Pitman (amongst others) warming the bench whilst we bring on either nobody or a defensive minded player. Would just be nice to see a bit more positivity going forward, and I can't help but feel that the starting 11 must be beginning to get pretty knackered as well. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong again..

Did really well today I thought again in a game that didn’t suit us given conditions were horrendous. Thought first half we got in dangerous areas without really making too much clear cut chances bar Cornicks 1v1. Did well to get the goal from the corner and overall the better side. Not sure if that Coventry “goal” was over the line or not, Shea was definitely in the net so could see how the ball might have been. No way the lino would have been able to see it with the mass of bodies in the way, which is I think why it wasn’t given more than anything.

Second half got the second and really controlled it in the main, never felt hugely threatened by Coventry. The penalty was just a really silly bit of play, lack of concentration at the end of a game more than anything which can be forgiven but I didn’t really have many jitters about it afterwards.

Some good performances and out of possession i thought in particular we were superb. Thinking Pelly might need a rest now, looked poor to me today and way below the standard he has set this season. Overall though a really pleasing away day today though.

That's a great win.

Glen Rea is becoming some player. Become the heartbeat of the side when I thought he would be the weak link. Continually breaks oppositions play down, right place right time with superb distribution thats often simple but very often effective. He always has so much time on the ball, draws opposition players in and then has the vision and calmness to find our players in the space that he has created. Really grown into the role.

But is he driving home for Christmas?

We made heavy work of it today, came out strong and got 2 quick goals then seemed to fall asleep for 70 mins

Beat Walsall 4-0, can’t remember the last time we properly battered someone. 13 scored in our last 4 games, Hopkin finally turning the tide with a massive 6 pointer next Saturday against Scunthorpe to come.

If we continue at our current pace we will finish this season having conceded 98 goals which has to be a FL record.

Agree with TFCH re Pelly, he definitely needs a rest, especially with someone like Grant on the bench.
Otherwise, a pretty dominant display in AWFUL conditions.

Agree about Rea. Had an excellent game today and is developing into a hell of a player. The same applies to quite a few of our squad this season. Thought the win was well deserved on the balance of play. We were the only team who looked like they wanted to win. Coventry looked like a team under pressure and lacked the confidence to go forward. The tension from the stands was reflected on the pitch with a fair number of errors . We on the other hand continue with our great form. The whole team played well today throughout. We have a great balance, plenty of confidence and most importantly a fantastic team spirit. Thought we would also struggle in the conditions but we made the most of them. Looking very interesting at the top of the league. I don't think any Luton fan expected us to be second at this stage of the season. However its richly deserved. We've made huge progress on and off the pitch and at the moment things look rosy. Success however can bring some unwanted attention from higher league clubs looking to recruit players or managers. Our main battle this season may well be keeping hold of our squad and NJ. A positive decision on the proposed stadium next month may help. Just now there is a lot of positivity around the club which is being enjoyed by everybody connected with it.

Which owner? There's about 3500 of us.

I've not seen the incident but I have seen footage of events leading to Mitch Pinnock's second yellow.
Then again, it was Trevor Kettle in charge. :dis:

You all stuck about £5 in to bribe him to send Sarr off when it was only worthy of a yellow. For Pinnock's one, I think he goes down far too easily under minimal contact. He sees the dangling leg and just collapses in the hopes of tricking the ref.

If you need a smile watch our winning goal today. Straight out of a bloopers reel with Rochdale’s keeper air kicking a backpass.

Finally the bit of luck we needed?

Luton's split personality season continues. Against the other 8 teams in the top 9 places Luton have 0 wins, 4 draws and 4 defeats. Against the teams from 10 to 24 they have 13 wins, 1 draw and 0 defeats with Burton to come next Saturday.

0.5 points a game against the top 9 and 2.86 points a game against the rest.

We haven’t played one for a while. Besides the top 9 now weren’t the top 9 then. 22 games and 2ppg is the important stat.

Weekly reminder that we're paying more for Conor Chaplin in January than most teams in this division have spent on their entire attack.

Awful display from us today, completely outclassed by Luton. Robins was tactically shocking and no player put in more than a 5/10 performance.

£300k for Hylton, Collins, Lee and Cornick. 89 goals scored between them since the start of last season. Over £3.5m received for strikers also in that time.

Couldn't afford to travel down to Southend today - a long journey plus we're away at Plymouth next week too. Very kind of the fixture computer!

Our club had some great news this week with Andy Holt buying the land the ground is on but our recent form in the league is very worrying now! Sounds like we created some chances but aren't getting many on target.
