Had a little update from the club today.. yet to comment on how tickets will be distributed to season ticket holders, they’re awaiting confirmation from the government.

EFL have confirmed Sep games will be behind closed doors, so season ticket holders will all receive a iFollow pass for those matches.

Going to be a real pity this year, lots of good away trips will be missed. Guess there’s a benefit if we fail to get promoted this year..

I hope there will be announcement on what happens with our season tickets when the fixtures are released next week.
On a slight tangent I noticed that they let people into Monacos stadium for the Athletics tonight. Looked about 20% full. And the snooker is letting crowds in tomorrow, around 30% sitting indoors!
For that reason I would suggest banning all fans at football is unequal.

The club are anticipating a capacity of around 7,000 for this coming season. Gonna be bedlam given we sold 14,000 last year.

Seems like around 25% then. Would be about 5k for us which might just be enough without away fans.

Will this change your season ticket prices? Aren't they cheap so that you get over 10,000 sales?

They’re still £150!

Try it, you might sell 5 more.
Wow. What an unnecessary comment from a grumpy little man, I wasn't even going to pick on Bradford this summer but I might have to change that now.

You’re not in my league when it comes to wind-ups, I suggest you take tips from masi51

Obviously we are not going to compete with Bradford but I was pleasantly surprised that we (Crawley) have sold more season tickets this season than last.

I presume that regular attendees, who were not season ticket holders, saw the write up about 25% capacity only and season ticket holders would get first choice and took the plunge.

Sold over 3,000 in the first 24 hours of sales according to our main journo.

Good to see.

Still nothing from Grimsby. I think between 2,500 and 3,000 will be allowed in once the full rules have been confirmed. That is usually the numbers we get for Season Ticket sales, no idea how they will allocate places or prices.

Hardly new though, we're feral animals and can't be expected to behave in the same way as our honest law-abiding non-football-attending superiors.

Missed this when it was released but we've gone into some nerd-level detail about the things to think about when allocating seats with a reduced capacity, complete with diagrams. We are basing it on a draft planning document from the government and assuming that something like that will be considered acceptable when fans are able to return, though it could all change..

There's a whole load of detail when you include the planning document but I'm sure this will be good bedtime reading for some *cough* Vanni *cough* one.

Crawley have released a statement regarding attendances in September....copied and pasted part of it for you all...

At this current stage, the club believe to be able to operate at a safe capacity of approximately 20% of the ground's total capacity with social distancing measures in place. At present Crawley Town Football Club will only be guaranteeing entry to our season ticket holders and are working on an action plan to utilise the remaining capacity, potentially through the implementation of a club membership scheme. More information on this is to follow in the coming days.

20% is somewhere around 1,200 people in our little rabbit hutch.

1,200? that should comfortably house both of your ST holders.

Harrogate might well challenge you for that this season - and they don't have a big capacity...

Imagine Harrogant are thanking their lucky stars for the preparation time that the pandemic/having to rip their pitch up - they’re used to hosting unsegregated away crowds of about 30. It was chaos when 700+ of us turned up a couple of years ago.

still remember being at a Harrogate v Barrow match a few years ago and they used to play recorded crowd noises when they scored a goal - that's how few home fans they had in.

Reading between the lines in the club comment on the price of watching the matches on ifollow,

Chief executive Nigel Clibbens said: "Due to the way we have structured our Season Ticket sales, we will not be offering Season Ticket holders free passes to watch home games like some other clubs.

"Clubs who have sold a 23-game Season Ticket are offering fans these passes as compensation for the games their fans will miss out on, but have already paid for. We are not in that position and our fans will be able to purchase match passes on a game-by-game basis which ensures they get the best value for money.

it seems as though we intend for ST prices to be reduced based on how many games fans can actually attend. At what point we'll start asking for those who have reserved STs to pay them, I don't know since other clubs already have significant amounts of cash coming in from ST sales.

Bit of a cop out. You wont know how many games fans can attend until you know the number of ST holders and therefore guaranteeing attendance at games, and when restrictions will be lifted, or further locked down.
Offering free passes for the period whilst there is reduced capacity seems a better way to go.

Don't understand what you mean. How many games fans can attend depends entirely on when the government lift restructions (or tighten them), what do you mean it depends on the number of ST holders?

Accrington have announced that they are allowing 28% of capacity in their ground.
First game will be a test for 770 fans.
Then after that 1535 is maximum allowed.

Possibly 30% max limit?

We've taken 1600 reservations so far, just a couple of days after they've opened to prospective new ST holders. Think this is in excess of our usual number of STs sold, since that is I think around 1500, however nothing has been sold yet.

Ours went on sale at 9am today, I am currently sat in the phone queue waiting to purchase mine!

Edit: waited for about 80 minutes in the queue, then sorted in very little time at all, lots of questions but also plenty of information about what will happen next. (In the past our club has been criticised for poor communication skills, I feel that in this instance they were bang on). I was able to offset the amount outstanding from last season, which was easy, and expect to be able to attend games sometime in October. I believe our ground capacity will be limited to around 1100 to enable social distancing...it will be like winding the clock back to Conference times, with that many people in the ground. Can't wait for the season to start now.
