We haven't sold a single ticket, or made anything available as yet. Not that I'm bothered, can't imagine I'll bother with this season at all.

I’ve not renewed, they can keep the money from last season though.

just doesn’t seem worth it to me.

gone on general sale now, with around 600 left available due to the restrictions.

We've announced now that we're going to start contacting fans who have reserved their tickets for payment. This is based on a 22 game season with the first available home game being Barrow. So basically only one home league game, against Southend, will have to be behind closed doors.

Fans who already pay their season tickets by monthly direct debit don't need to do anything if they've reserved a place, the direct debit will just continue from October as normal.

The prices have been reduced pro-rata, but with just one game it's a very small difference. We sound confident that fans will be allowed in from the beginning of October and even think there's a chance that game v Southend will be a designated test game.

A few things we’ve managed since having ‘cheap’ season tickets: Promoted once, L1 Play Off’s twice, final once, FA cup quarter final, League Cup finalist (as a L2 club), biggest FA cup shock/turnaround in history at Stamford Bridge from 2-0 down, beat Arsenal, Villa over two legs, few more Prem teams in the cup runs.
Off field, trebled attendances, opened up to countless younger fans, sponsorship, suites, shirt sales, pies/pints, better off, affordable to watch... Assuming the follow up point is that we’re now where we started before the cheaper tickets, that is true, but down almost entirely to the foreign takeover and that’s another story entirely.
Selling at double the cost to half the audience works out the same only to less people watching/investing (as fans, especially kids) in the club, fewer people go, the big crowds aren’t a selling point to potential signings, etc. either way thanks to the salary cap it’s not like potentially making millions and millions in ticket sales means you can reinvest in a better squad anyway.

£150 season ticket should only be viewed as a positive. Bradford away is a great trip, because you know it’s going to be a full stadium.

You can understand why a club in a small town and small catchment area can’t afford to lower their tickets, because some clubs just won’t sell many more. But many clubs could lower their tickets and sell much more, even interest kids growing up as fans of a Prem side. But most clubs seem to prefer to safe bet of keeping things as is.

Not this season it won't...

8,400 sold - as of 12 hours ago.

Last day for early-bird prices, today. I imagine we’ll shift about 9,500-10,000 in total.

Having sold 13,800 last season, I think the sales this season have been decent - given the circumstances.

That is clearly great news, regarding numbers sold, but how on earth will you get everyone in the ground and enforce social distancing? Unless of course someone has tweaked the algorithm used to predict A/Level results to create a seating plan...in which case you will have a lot of disappointed fans who discover they are sat in a different stadium when games are being played!

Will work on 30% and above......We have sold 7000 plus which is around 25%
Grounds which hold around 5000 will be the ones where they cannot accomadate season ticket holders

A lot of teams are doing it for cash flow purposes, including ourselves - see what happens and deal with the consequences (refunds) later. I guess if you have a 25,000 capacity stadium, you could feasibly fit in around 10,000.

I understand that and we fall into the category masi51 mentioned, with a capacity of not too much over 5000. Initially we will be allowing around 1150 into the ground (with less than 600 in a main stand that must hold around 2000), the vast majority of which is likely to be made up from season ticket holders. I can't see too many tickets being available on general sale, at least until we are able to increase capacity.

I also understand the cash flow purpose, to go for 6-8 months with no matchday revenue is likely to make life difficult for every team in our league, and any way to bring some funds in...even if it amounts to little more than a loan...may be the approach that keeps clubs afloat.

Difficult times ahead but it seems like most clubs are trying to be creative, within current regulations, but at the same time they have the safety of fans at heart...which hasn't always been the case!

Our capacity these days is around 13k, yet the message which came out is that we'll only be able to accommodate around 3k when the reason resumes, though it will vary from game to game. We've sold more season tickets than that already and they're still on sale. I'd have been inclined to put a stop on sales until we can increase capacity.

I still dont get this. What if there are further restrictions? The club would then have to pay refunds. And those who dont feel safe at the moment but might after Christmas, say, will be disadvantaged.
Why not do like everyone else and charge full whack but give free access to ifollow if the games are bcd.

Bradford sold 9,039 at the end of the cheap ticket offer yesterday. Intention is to have half the tickets designated claret and other amber, so you get to attend alternate matches, plus of course 23 ifollow home matches.

People who have bought season tickets only get to attend 50% of the games that fans are allowed at? Isn't that a bit...shit?

It’s either that or we limited sales to less than 7,000.

What if you have a claret ticket and your partner an amber one?

I know, but it's surely fraught with problems? Like if one half get more Saturday games and the other get more Tuesday games, one half get the bigger games and the other half get crap fixtures, or if a match gets postponed does everyone have to swap for the next fixture?

And if you're allowed 7,000 in, would that mean you could just have 4,500 there because you've split them in half?

The only way I can see any season tickets working is first come, first served - and then put more tickets on sale as capacities increase.

If I’m honest, I haven’t seen/heard one concern regarding the issues you’ve raised. Our fans realise this season is like no other; I’d even go as far as saying that a lot of those who have purchased season tickets, have purchased them with the sole intention of watching it on iFollow - at least for the first few months.

With the capacity for the first few months being 7,000, and given we have sold over 9,000 ST’s, the split is going to be 50:50 for each fixture - leaving circa 2,500 tickets available for POTD - which I reckon we’ll come close to selling out most fixtures.

You have a friends or relatives facility, so you will be automatically in the same group. The club reckon that they can accomodate about 7,000 so presumably 4,500 from season ticket members (suspect that will turn into about 5k because people still buy at the higher price!) and rest for normal ticket sales. Still lots of problems though, but at least this allows for a resonable crowd at this level.

So there will be season ticket holders sat at home watching iFollow, missing out to POTD customers? Seems messy.

If ST holders wish to free up their seat for a POTD fan, this also could be a possibility.
